The Preserve at Clearwater was quite expensive, so we couldn't consider it. But it seemed like a very nice facility.

They have a very friendly, competent staff and management. My husband really needs assistance, and he does get it. They're always very nice and cheerful about it as well. It's a very clean facility. They have just gone through a change in ownership, although management is staying the same. So we'll see how things go in the future.

We have had a lot of issues with her oxygen, the staff could be trained better on that. Once I get a hold of nurses I can usually get an answer, but it is hard to get a hold of them. I do think it is improving, there was just a lot going on in the beginning. It is a beautiful facility, it is like a fancy hotel. Out of the ones we saw this was definitely the best. The technology is a 10, they have monitors everywhere, they have watches they wear if they need help, etc. The dining area is gorgeous, they have happy hours on Tuesdays. I would recommend to others looking.

The building is set amidst woods and is adjacent to the Reston Community Center with its swimming pool and many other facilities. The look and feel of the common areas has a kind of industrial quality to it. You are definitely aware that you are in an apartment building and not somebody's home. The 2 bedroom apartments we toured were nicely laid out with good space for the limited square footage. I gave it 4 stars because of the meal plan which allows you to eat anytime before 2:00 for an extra change, the many activity rooms each set up for a different purpose. Full kitchens and washer/dryer in apartments was a must have.

I was very disappointed with how the property was presented to me vs. what became reality when my loved one moved in. I feel they misrepresented themselves in the presentation of the property. Covid was a factor, but there was more to it. I feel like they just tell the prospect everything they want to hear so they sign on the dotted line. Originally, I thought my loved one would have enough cognitive abilities to be in the assisited living section. A few days before I was to hand them the check for the efforts month's rent, I was told by the executive director that she would have to move into the memory care section, or we would have to shake hands and walk away. They did not indicate that they were going to go that route through the whole process of interviewing and assessing. It was at the very end that they laid that bomb in my lap. And it's caused quite a few personal problems for me. That could have been related to the fact that it was a brand new facility with brand new employees. I believe that my loved one has the least amount of cognitive disorders of anyone else in the memory care unit, and they agreed with me. I felt like it was too late at that stage to cancel and move to another facility. They did agree to waive the difference in the cost increase, but only for 6 months. As far as cleanliness, there's nothing I've seen that stood out to me as not clean, and it's still a brand new facility. I believe they're only up to about 31 residents at this point. I've been very impressed with the people I've come into contact who interact with my loved one day in and day out. They seem to be very responsive to her. If anybody were to call me and say we're considering Modena Cherry Creek, I would tell them all of the above. I still think the staff do a pretty good job, but I don't think it was handled well from the very beginning. But my loved one seems to be doing well there, and that's what matters most to me.

I went on a tour here and the staff was really nice and helpful. They answered all of my questions. It was nice and clean. It had a nice courtyard area. The residents were up and active. This was my second choice, It is important to me that there is a front desk person and they didn't have one here.

While The Reserve is a beautiful setting, be aware that if your loved one needs attention, you will need to install cameras and hire private care to fill in the gaps. The executive director of the whole community is great and approachable. However, care plans are not followed consistently and require much oversight by family. We visit our loved one daily and still need additional care for them as the star employees they have can only do so much. From what I hear, all communities fall short, and I can't figure out why we can't solve these common problems. This community is not a good value, but it helps to be in a beautiful setting if you can afford it.

There's a lack of certain things in regards to servicing. My loved one was there for at least a year in assisted living. Communication is lacking; how they deal with clients and families is subpar. We had to move her out because she was not being bathed properly. She was difficult, however, there was no explanation to that. Cleaning in the room was inconsistent, there would be dust under the bed and on the side tables. My loved one was supposed to be on a restricted calorie diet, and that was not taken care of. She was 50 pounds overweight, which shows there was a lack of concern in nutrition. In regards to the staff - I told the Director of Care Operations that when we tried to move my loved one from assisted living to Light Bridges, we never received a call from the General Manager for reassessing of pricing. They wanted more money, but never reciprocated the information we needed as to how we can navigate that. They were unprofessional and their communication was as well. I understand that they have to make money, but you can make a profit and also communicate with clients and prospective sales. It's a beautiful great looking building, but I would not recommend the property. I wanted my mom to stay in Reston, but the organizational structure is lacking. They have a lot of turnover. They lack culture, you need a positive culture in a professional organization like that and it's lacking.

Visited this facility on [date removed]. Nice facility. Updated but not overly fancy. Staff was friendly enough. We were greeted by a resident in her wheelchair coming out the front door with what appeared to be no supervision. Staff when alerted seemed familiar with this resident and her tendencies and was not alarmed. Somewhat disconcerting to an unfamiliar guest though. Toured the Memory Care portion and seemed pretty typical from other facilities. Another resident was sitting in the floor as we were led on tour past his room. He appeared fine but the individual who was showing us around did not seem overly concerned but after we walked past twice and I actually showed some concern, she did not offer the resident any assistance at all, but did alert the nursing staff. It's a nice facility, clean, etc., and appeared professional. The incidents with the residents may have been coincidental, but did not give me a feeling of proper supervision of residents.

This place will not open until January 2017 and I feel there are still a lot of unknowns about this place. They say one amenity is smoke detectors and sprinkler systems. These are required by law. The room prices are very high for what you get when compared to other homes nearby. What will their financial future be? Will money be handled wisely? Will this place stay or fold in future because of financial difficulties? You are paying for 3 meals daily- if you decide to eat in your room you are paying for food you bought too. If I went now as a resident I would be paying for assisted living which I do not need.

My parent has Alzheimer's and was stayed in the memory care facility here for a little over a year. I looked into many facilities and this one stood out from the others. However after time, the level of care declined to where I was concerned for my parent. I can not say for certain what the cause was however I can tell you that I am not impressed with the new director that took over in 2014. I spoke with her to give her a chance to address some of my concerns with my parents's care and she suggested I give her two weeks to resolve them and she would follow up with me. That time and more passed and nothing changed and she never got back to me. It was not until weeks later when I gave notice he was leaving, she was very responsive. There are some great people working there. The activities director is spectacular. Many of the nursing assistants are incredible, however there seems to be some favoritism under the nurse manager and staff is encouraged to be neglectful and lazy if you are in inner circle of hers so that work is easier for them. Ironically, it is the nursing assistants outside the head nurse's inner circle that truly care about and take care of the residents. Some of the concerns I had were that they would not do things unless I asked, such as trimming nails that were close to becoming infected, shaving, showers where rarely given and often it was obvious that my parent had been in the same clothes for multiple days. Stains and messes in the apt floor were never mopped. This facility is new and they have a great customer facing marketing team. However this facility is all looks and no better and perhaps worse than many others and costs much more. In summary, I feel it would be dangerous to leave a loved one under the care of this facility unless you make frequent visits and constantly request and remind these people to do their job.

The management team does not strive to improve their responsiveness and communication with residents and attend to the needs and concerns of the community. There is not a diverse range of activities offered to residents that are engaging, stimulating, and cater to a variety of interests. It's a cycle of repetitive and mundane activities. The activity director to does not engage with residents to foster a sense of connection and create a welcoming and inclusive environment. There have been many complaints about the food quality which has never been addressed. I would not recommend Hunter Woods.

My mother's experience at Edgeworth Park at New Town was terrible. In December 2021, as my sister and I did not live in the area and needed a short-term (one month) place for our mother before moving her to North Carolina, we trusted Edgeworth Park at New Town to provide her with safe care and paid for full support in a one-bedroom unit. When we came to pick her up, we were told she had become incontinent and probably had a urinary, so we should take her to the emergency room. Beyond being surprised that the facility had not taken the initiative to have her checked by a doctor, we were horrified to discover she had spent the entire month sleeping on the couch, as the bed was too high for her to climb in unassisted. As a result, her legs were seriously swollen and covered with sores, and she was no longer able to walk. The only comment from the person who was responsible for daily care was that she (the "care" giver) hadn't been at work for several days. We immediately took our mother to the emergency room and mov

It was a sad experience visiting this memory care unit. There were no activities for the residents to do. It didn't appear they had a activity director. The residents seemed to sit around idle and watch TV for all day for their recreation. I only saw two CNAS in the memory care unit assisting with the residents needs. I saw several residents needing assistance with cutting up their food but no one assisted. My search will continue. I would not recommend this facility. I left very sad and melancholy.

I contracted for an apartment @ the Reserve as POA for an individual in late December under their EOY financing special - 50% off the community fee & 1st 3 month's rent - paid in advance. My individual's health dramatically declined and she had to enter a nursing home in late January. She never occupied her apartment nor did we move any furnishings into it. I canceled the rental agreement in late January and asked for a refund of the unused rent for February & March - they waived the 30 days cancellation due to my individual's health issues. Once we were no longer a prospective tenant their responsiveness declined dramatically. Calls weren't returned, emails weren't responded to unless prompted, and they became evasive about the refund - passing the buck to corporate. When I did get a refund it was slightly more than 1/3 of what it should have been w/o any explanation of how it was calculated. A very disappointing end and not what I expected based on how they had presented themselves.
