Clean, pleasant atmosphere. Medical needs seem to be addressed on all levels. Lots of activities available including 'off campus.' Rooms are large and lend themselves to the client's personal touch! I hope my mother will be as pleased when she takes the tour.

If you want a place that your family member will be happy and well cared for chose this place. They are all dedicated and the most caring people that I have ever encountered. The staff and the residents. My mom went to physical rehab for a short time there and the residents came to greet her and welcomed her back. The staff also did the same. I can't say enough good things about this place.

Promenade at Tuxedo is OUR place for mom

When it was time for my mother-in-law to move into assisted living, our family began by contacting aplaceformom.com. There we were provided with a list of pre-qualified facilities to visit, before making our final choice. Promenade at Tuxedo Place was not only the cleanest, brightest, and friendliest place we saw, but it had a 'large house' feel that would be easiest for my mother-in-law's transition from her home to a residential community. The residents we saw were all engaged and happy in multiple daily activities, and the staff showed very genuine compassion and pleasure at engaging the seniors. After my mother-in-law moved in, her mood brightened, and we saw a big increase in her physical and mental well-being.

Visiting Dad is now a pleasure!

When my mother died, it became obvious that my father needed a different environment. At 95, he's still got a lot of living and enjoying, to do! The warm, bright, homelike setting, and the family feeling among the residents and staff at The Promenade at Blue Hill convinced us that Dad would thrive there, and he is. It is the perfect environment for him. It's comparable in cost, or even somewhat less, than other assisted living places we checked out. We're very happy we moved Dad here and highly recommend it.

A wonderful extension of our family

Eileen, from a Place for Mom was the most informed, involved professional I have ever encountered in my family's search for help with Mom. Her expertise and caring led us to quickly narrow down our choice to 2 ideal [removed] Reflections @ Colt's Neck & Promenade @ Blue Hill. Amy, the Director at Reflections instantly made us feel that Colt's Neck was home. Unfortunately, it was too far for us. Promenade, rather than being second choice, was perfect for our entire family. Saundra, Rich, Meg, Jane, Bob and especially Anthony have become a part of our family. It is a loving environment where everyone is special.

Independent Living Price

We chose this community because of the price. Every other community was overpriced for what she needed. She is very independent so did not need services. The price was the lowest out of the communities because of the lack of services.

Tour experience

I was very impressed with the staff here. They were kind and loving and seemed very interested and engaged with their residents. They seemed to offer more care here than my loved one really needed. It was also geared more towards the catholic religion.

Christmas dinner

The Christmas holiday party at the promenade was excellent. The people there were great!! The employees give it their very best and put their hearts into everything they do. I'll be there next year, wouldn't miss the holiday feelings that are expressed by everyone and shared by all the people envolved. A truly great place to take your elderly parents to, they are taken care by the most energetic people that are available in the area. Thanks to all the people envolved.

Best Place for Mom

My Mom has been living at the Middletown Promenade for five years now, she came to the Promenade when she was 98 and just celebrated her 103rd birthday. In those five years she has been treated very very well, I could not ask for better. The staff treats her as if she were their Mom, I'm so very happy I chose the Middletown Promenade for her care. From the first day we met [name removed] she made Mom feel at home, and to this day [name removed] always stops to talk to her with a hug when she sees her. [Name removed] and the staff at the Middletown Promenade great job, thank you so much. [Name removed], [name removed], [name removed]

Not Able To Accept My Mom

On my tour I realized they were not close enough to the family. They also told me they were not able to accept her. I did get to see a prettier and cleaner community. They showed us the whole community and the amenities. I would have been comfortable with using them but they were too far.

Overall a good experience

It was immaculately clean. The administration was very helpful and friendly, and I felt right at home. I did feel that one of my care workers was a little snippy. It was only one out of many. I did cancel, but it took quite a while and some misunderstandings. I had a little trouble with the meals, but I knew that going in. The quality was good, and they did work with me to accommodate my diet.

I am very impressed with the care staff as they found done health issues my mother did not know she had and provided tight tests and medications to correct the issues. Made my sister and I feral that we helped our Mother in choosing right place for her to recover from her heart attack.

It's been good but there have been a couple of bumps in the road.

It's been good, but there have been a couple of bumps in the road. It's under a lot of construction right now. Everybody is friendly the times when I've been there. The people who provide the care are very good. They have a restaurant type service, and there are sometimes complaints about that part of the staff. They have a couple of people that run video games for the residents, they play bingo, and run movies, they have outings, and they have a vehicle to take them to the mall. I think once the construction is done things will be pretty smooth. For the service they provide it's pretty reasonably priced, they do offer some care services if needed for extra charge. Some are a separate price and some come with the care level. If the care level improves they don't adjust it. They have a center courtyard that is completely surrounded by the building so the residents can safely walk around.

Our Experience

My loved one is a resident at The Promenade at Middletown. She hates the food, other than the sandwiches. The activities are good, though there are not many outings. The staff is okay, but can get a bit snappy with the residents. I'm not sure of the backstory on why, though. The cleanliness is good.
