Staff all very nice, make you feel at home

I can not say enough about how wonderful this community is. Every part of the staff has everything covered. This community is medically disguised and feels like you are in a nice hotel. They assign a concierge to a new resident to help them get involved in the activities and they go to meals together. They have addressed every issue from day one. You could not find better food or care than at this community.

I came here 3 years ago and they have spoiled me rotten! I was a widower 8 years keeping house by myself and now all my needs are more than met!

Excellent, beautiful and well managed home. Problems, though very few, are resolved quickly and always with a positive response. These people strive to be the best at what they do and it shows.

Middlewoods of Farmington is everything we wanted and more. The building is lovely to begin with and the current renovations will make it even more attractive. The staff takes a personal interest in every resident and they go above and beyond to look out for everyone. The attentive care services have given us a much needed peace of mind. The on and off site activities are extensive for a facility this size, and what's interesting is the high degree of participation we have noticed. It is also noteworthy how much input the residents have regarding food and other services. And speaking of food, we would give 5 stars to the food, for which you do not show as a separate category for rating purposes. The variety and quality are wonderful, as is the personal attention of the wait staff.

My mom has been at Middlewoods of Newington for a year now. It is very clean and well kept up and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable and the hallways resemble a college dorm with small tables of knick knacks and seasonal decorations. My mom gets her hair, nails and pedicures done on the premises. Also on the premises is a geriatric doctor and psychiatrist, both of which my mom sees. There are activities every day and also a van that takes residents to doctor appointments, the store as well as field trips and Wii bowling competitions with other assisted living communities. There’s something for every level of care for seniors and I am very happy to have my mom living there.

I think its friendly, clean, and the food is really good. The staff is very friendly. Friendly and professional at the same time. They also offer a variety of activities. This has been a positive experience for my sister and I.

I have been a resident of Bishop Wicke Health Center for over 4 years. I am unable to stand, am wheelchair-bound and have only minimal use of one hand. I am given choices in what delicious food I want, and the engaging activities I attend. I'm extremely involved in my own healthcare, which the staff at Bishop Wicke totally encourage, support and facilitate in every possible way. I would recommend Bishop Wicke without reservation because of the friendly, home-like atmosphere and the compassionate outlook of the employees who care for me.

When my family had to find an assisted living facility for my mother coming out of rehab, we toured a few facilities in the area. Middlewoods of Newington was the one we selected because of the smaller size and more reasonable cost. We have been very happy with this choice. Mom loves it and all of the staff have been very friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend it.

Things have gone very well at Atria Greenridge Place so far! Everything has been great, I'd give them top marks across the board. I'd rate the friendliness and activities even higher if I could, the staff are all very nice and they've got a lot going on to keep their residents entertained!

Committed, caring staff. Professional, engaged management. Everyone, from the wonderful Receptionist to the Executive Director are engaged and committed to their mission at Atria. The Sales Director is every where, helping and engaging residents and their families. The staff is kind, caring and respectful. Their name tags indicate their years of service and many have been there for over 3 years. Communication is excellent with all calls and emails returned promptly. They are clearly committed to the care of our mother.

My grandmother has lived at Bishop Wicke for 5 years. I could not imagine a kinder, more caring team of people for her to depend on. I do not say this lightly as I am a nursing home consultant and have visited over 75 homes, many considered the best in their geographic area. Though I moved two hours away, her and I decided that it was better I drive the distance to visit rather than leave the phenomenal people there. When I was recently asked by a nursing home professional the best place they could visit to see truly caring teams in action I answered with Bishop Wicke. (Did you know ppl from around the WORLD come to tour them to learn their "secrets"?) No place, even my own home, is perfect but I always trust their clinical judgement and most importantly that they are doing the right things for my grandmothers happiness. I know WITHOUT A DOUBT that she would not be with us today if not for Bishop Wicke's compassionate care.

My aunt is in the dementia unit and gets very good care! She likes it there. I didn't think she would like it but she feels at home, believe it or not. She likes the activities. She likes the bingo, goes to the entertainment in the other area when they have it, and she likes to do the crafts. She doesn't tell me everything that she does but I know she goes to birthday parties and things like that. It keeps her occupied and she likes that. I think the staff is very good and I really like that they let her go outside. There is independence if she needs help they help her. She likes her room and everything really. It's clean and never smells. It's a wonderful place! The just help her when she needs it. Even the doctors said she's the best they've ever seen her. She's being well taken care of!

They've done anything I've needed them to do and if I've had any special things done, they've done those things too. We looked at a few places and Atria seemed to be the best location for my aunt. She's adjusting. It's taking her a little while but she's doing okay. She's well cared for. It's very clean and they're very nice. They're always happy to see me and they let me know about different things going on. From what I've seen everything seems to be great. They have lots of activities. They have outings that they go to and during the day they have different things for the people to do. Everything that I've seen has been great. If I have to go somewhere when I'm older, this is the place!

Mom is very happy here!!! The staff is truly amazing and has incredible patients with mom. Even during the difficult times recently I always know mom is safe and in good hands, so it makes it so much easier on myself and wife.

We toured this community for the care for my mom. The menu was. nice and seemed to have a good variety of healthy meals. The staff is attentive to the residents. We did like the list of activities that are offered. We would recommend that families tour this community for the care of a loved one.

My mother-in-law has been at Middlewoods of Newington for 3 years. She entered at age 95 and is still going strong at 98! The care and quality of life at Middlewoods of Newington is second to none! All her needs are met and exceeded at this facility. Her studio apartment is cute and homey, the meals are excellent and there is something going on all the time! The staff is high quality and cannot do enough for the residents and their families. She is safe, mentally stimulated and very happy here. My wife and I have tremendous peace of mind and enjoy our visits with her and the other residents here. We would highly recommend Middlewoods of Newington for your loved one's assisted care.

We were so happy and excited about this place and we still are.. they have different areas or units for different things and everything is kept so well and in pristine shape. Just a little pricy. Other than that, great place!

We toured this community when while looking into care options for a loved one. The place is great, the people are friendly, and we like that it has a smaller floor plan so that my loved one doesn't tire herself out when walking to the dining room, or to do activities.

My Dad was at Atria in Rocky Hill, CT for only a few short months, due to his degenerative illness which ultimately resulted in nursing home care. We had hoped he could stay a much longer time, since he really loved being there. We had a great experience with Atria from the first phone call and throughout the time Dad was living there. The process of moving in went smoothly and every questioned was answered. Atria staff is very friendly and we felt very confident moving Dad there from New York at the age of 83, where he had lived his entire life. Again, we wish his stay could have been longer. I, and I know my siblings, highly recommend Atria at Greenridge Place in Rocky Hill.
