Everything is going pretty well so far.

Everything is going pretty well so far. I don't have any complaints, everyone has been helpful, and responsive. They were comparable in price to most other places, and even less than some.

So far it's working out okay.

So far it's working out okay. They could use more staff on the evenings and the weekends. The food is catered, and while it isn't home cooking, they do have fresh fruits and vegetables, and a nice variety of foods. It's pretty clean and the staff is friendly. They were right on top of things when my loved one fell. Overall I think they do pretty good.

parents are very happy

My parents are very happy at Villa Pueblo Senior Living Community. The villa itself is a little older so things aren't quite as convenient. They are remodeling which will be nice. Overall I am really happy in dealing with them. The staff has been so good in helping us navigate through this whole process. I am just really happy to know that my parents are safe and secure. I am extremely pleased with this facility.

Above Average Community

Emeritus at Countryside Village is a great community. The staff goes above and beyond to accommodate their residents. My Mom is a resident and she is really enjoying the food and the well organized dining room staff. There is a variety and lots of food available. They do have call buttons in the rooms for safety and security. Mom states they are very attentive to individual needs. She had a problem with some plumbing and maintenance was there to remedy the situation. Mom does miss being able to cook and clean on her own.

Nice place, overall

Overall we've had a pretty good experience with Villa Pueblo. We had a few issues along the way getting our loved ones moved in, but for the most part they handled everything very well. The facility itself is well kept and clean, and the staff all seem very friendly. I would recommend them to anyone looking into senior living in the area!

I am happy with the care that she receives.

I'm not happy with the maintenance department at all when they say that they are going to get things done, they do not. I am happy with the care that she receives. They have a new administration. They just increased the rent and we weren't told that it would be that big of an increase every year. The bill is so not user friendly. It's difficult to read and understand what the charges are. There's a good variety of things to do. There is never enough parking because the employees are parking right next to the building. They have really treated her well. The staff really helped her to adjust.

Very accomodating, tried to address our needs

It was a good place, my mother really enjoyed the recreation program and the recreation people, she really participated in those. I think the staff overall were pretty good and when she brought up a problem it was rectified. My mother had broken her hip and was wheelchair bound, she had to be transported and her issues was after dinner, she was left next to last; so my sister took it up with the administrator and it was handled. Obviously, the people always complained about the food, 3 times a day, the food is the main thing to do. She couldn't chew her vegetables, it wasn't a major thing and she cleaned her plate so you have to take that with a grain of salt. One issue, and I think it's true for other assisted livings, my mother was going to have to stay there long term, she didn't know that yet, but our biggest issues was, if you're wheelchair bound, you can't get out of your room yourself. There's no push pad which surprised us, they should have a couple of wheelchair acessible rooms, but you have to pay for an escort service and that was a little frustrating. You can't come and go as you please, it just seems, in general, assisted living should have that available which would have made her happier.

Not alot for younger people

The cleanliness is okay from what ive noticed, for instance, the salad bar is not very cleaned up, stuff like that. My daughter has been here a couple of times with some maintenence problems they say have been fixed and everytime it goes out they have to come back in. i haven't done wnything with them at all with activities jsut mainly shopping, theres really not anything i would want to go to, like playing poker or watching videos in the main room. I like it okay, i like the grouns and the gardens and stuff like that, the reason i picked emeritus was i was backed into a corner because of my age and this was the only place here that would take me.

The turnover is pretty high, and they are a little understaffed.

I think the biggest problem is having a hard time finding someone to help. The turnover is pretty high, and they are a little understaffed. Getting a callback can also be difficult, communication in general can be difficult. Things are not always exactly the way they say they are in the beginning. The food is pretty good, she doesn't complain about the food and they are usually prompt with that. She does think that they keep it a little too cold, it's overly air conditioned. It's clean, and the people are really friendly. Getting in and settled in wasn't as smooth as we thought, they didn't do an orientation, or really show us around, it wasn't as welcoming as we had hoped. We chose them because we had read some good reviews. We liked that they had all the different levels of care.

Needs Improvement

Friendly staff, but unresponsive and an inability to perform their jobs. Poor quality meals as mostly soft foods with little flavor and never served hot. Always lukewarm or cold. No condiments available. Decent dining room and again, friendly staff serving the food. Very little activities offered. Housekeeping doesn't get done. My mom has been there almost two months and no one has cleaned her room despite her putting her name on the sign-up sheet.

My experience with North Chandler Place

It is a nice place but I was disappointed when I moved in, it was not cleaned properly. It was painted but all of the door facings were covered with dirt. All of the people that I have met so far are very friendly and caring, especially the bus drivers and the maintenance staff. Due to my experience I would not recommend to others looking.

A community in transition

I just wish the staff would understand and show some compassion for the residents. I feel the staff are overwhelmed but them need to put effort into looking at the residents as people who had full lives and backstories, who feel the same things they feel, and are at a place in life where they have lost so much including their strength, homes, and pets. The staff aren't mean but they seem like they are just emotionally fatigued and shut down. There are three staff members that go above and beyond and the cleaning staff do an immaculate job. The new nurse's presence has been like a ray of sunshine. She's kind, warm, and speaks to the residents like friends and really shows that she likes them a lot.

The facility is in quiet location, the inside of the building is dated with the flowery wallpaper and old carpeting. They are working on updated and renovating the inside. Saw lots of residents walking to the dining room for lunch. The lunchroom is bright and the staff seemed friendly and caring to residents. Has a large, bright reserved Respite Room with a sitting room and fridge, microwave. No deposit required for reserving Respite room.
