We were looking for a place for my parents. We had a tour with [name removed]. He was great! The campus is clearly older but the new paint looks really nice. The apartments felt homelike and we think it will be an awesome fit for my parents.

Our family had an in person tour with North Chandler Place and it was a great tour experience but it wasn't as communal as I thought it would be and so it was just not going to be the best fit for our loved one.
North Chandler Place was the least expensive facility that we looked at during our search. The facility is older, but when we were there they were actually in the middle of doing a lot of upgrades and renovations. It is a very large facility, you had to travel kind of far just to be able to get to the dining room, activities room, etc. and that was not going to work for my loved one.
I had a wonderful tour experience at North Chandler Place. The staff were all so friendly and responsive. The facility itself is larger which was the reason we did not choose it. My loved one has vision impairments and so I thought a smaller facility would make it easier for her to get around. It seemed like a great place.
When we first got there, we were told they were making changes and that it would be more clean, but nothing has changed as of yet. I will say, the staff has made some positive changes, but still needs work. They still need to step up to the plate. They do have housekeeping, but I've had to remind them to do things that I feel like I shouldn't have to. Communication has been pretty good. The food is not good and definitely needs to improve. The variety is good but quality needs improvement. At this point, I wouldn't be quick to recommend them to friends and family. Overall, the facility is ok but definitely needs improvement.

My friend ( a stroke patient)lived at North Chandler place for 6 months! I took her out to dinner last week! Then….. the inexperienced staff dropped her out of the hoyer lift and within a week she was dead??she lived a wonderful active life even after her stroke for many years! This place is horrible! Do not send your loved ones here!!! Management would not accept responsibility????

The number one thing is keeping good staff including director and management. Also the kitchen prep staff. She was there for a month without the heating and or AC. Called them four or Five times and they finally hired a new facilities director and replaced with a new unit. The food service now is much better, they have had turnover in staff which does make it suffer. They have also had some problems with housekeeping in addition. It is the main areas that need the work especially the hallways and carpets. They are certainly working on it and I believe it will be resolved. The apartments have been updated but hoping the rest of the whole building will be updated at some point. Activity director is phenomenal and do a great job.

The situation here is the Frontier company bought this place from Brookdale about a year ago. Before that Brookdale as we understand it when they were going to put it on the market they stopped putting money into the facility. The Frontier group bought it and there was an initial period where there was lack of leadership and direction. They did hire a new executive director in the last 3 months and he has experience in the VA healthcare system. He is doing his best to bring up the quality of the place and he is doing a great job - he is very hands on and we have seen those changes he is making, he knows what he is doing. There is a new independent living director and he is making improvements to this side of the facility. They have just hired a new chef and he is improving the quality of the meals and doing his best. They are updating the facility and doing new landscaping. They are upgrading a lot of things. We like that They do not require huge down deposits and they have month to month leases. We love our apartment, we have 2 balconies and also get a lot of natural light in here. The unit sizes here are much larger than other places that we looked into. Our apartment is 1330 square feet which is the largest we saw and we have huge walk in closets. The only thing we do not have is an oven. The facility has more of a campus like, relaxed appearance. There is a lot of outside space and greenery - they are working on new landscaping as well. We would recommend the facility to others looking - they have a lot of potential and they are slowly making changes step by step.

If I'd known about the dining experience, I would not have come here. There's continuous turnover of the cooks and servers. During meals, there's only one entrée. There's one main entrée and a side menu - which is comparable to a McDonalds menu. I'd tell others that you should be fairly mobile if you come here. I am, however, satisfied with my apartment.

My friend never made it to the assisted living community; however they were in the rehab area of the community. The issues I had was with management of rehab and the community overall. There were things missing from the rehab area that my friends was in that belonged to them. I had to pay for the room in the assisted living area. Since my friend never made it into the assisted living I had requested the community fee to be refunded to me. The community never refunded me this money that I paid.

I would encourage you to look around at different communities. There are rules about North Chandler Place that changes each week. The food is okay here at the community. The chefs have been temporary recently. The dining room staff change regularly. The staffing is low in the community recently.

The staff are very friendly and helpful and they offer a lot of services. We like that we can customize our loved ones different level of care and things she made need assistance on. We also like that she can age in place there, because moving our loved one from this community to another would just be difficult. The activities they offer are good.

This community has a normal type of setting to it, it does not feel like a nursing home. It is surrounded by greenery and trees. He seems very happy so far and his apartment is just perfect for him. The staff members are awesome, especially the lady our family has dealt with so far [name removed] is just the sweetest most awesome person ever. The maintenance team is always quick to respond when our loved one needs something .

We had a great tour with North Chandler Place. The facility is gorgeous and very centrally located by everything you could need.
We liked the facility and had a good tour, we just thought it felt a little more institutional than we would have liked.
They have a lot of activities. Everybody is very friendly. The staff are wonderful. If you need anything and call the office, they're prompt in taking care of any problems. I like my apartment very much. There's lots of storage, it's comfortable, and It's spacious for just me.
