Facility description is way oversold!

Some staff are excellent, others just don't care or aren't trained at all. Always short on caregivers. Caregivers seem to be on their phones quite a bit. They would rather dope them up to make their job easier. Activities do not stimulate. They hardly talk to the residents. Breakfast is basically the same everyday. Meals do not match ability to eat. I would not eat there. Rooms are not always locked or closed. Residents wander on their own. Management is MIA on the floor. No accountability for workers.

Not a good expereince

This is probably only good for someone who is ready to sit and do nothing. It there were any problems, I don't feel the staff were equipped to handle them. The staff were very aggressive with my husband and did not seem to recognizes problems for what they may be. The staff was minimally trained and it was very poor care.

Not impressed by tour

I was not impressed by what I saw here. The person I scheduled my tour with was not available when I arrived, which did not leave a good first impression. In general the community just didn't have a very friendly feel, and I didn't think it would have been a good fit for my loved one.

I went by there and it very pretty from the outside. I received a brochure and it was very expensive. For me it was to far out and there's lots of traffic and some construction in Stone Oak.

Caution—Franklin Overpromise

My mother was living here and the administration is not at all helpful. They put the residents through all kinds of rules and requirements to do simple activities like going to dining room or making a reservation to take the community van to the grocery store. Their facility manager is extremely rude both to employees and residents. This is a very expensive facility to live in, and yet the management came back and pressured all the residents to ‘donate’ money to provide holiday bonus money for the underpaid staff. This little group of elderly residents ‘donated’ $40,000 from their own money. This is over and above the very high costs required to live here. There are staff memebers who are very caring, but don’t be fooled about the facility—it is focused totally on making as much money as much as possible from these sweet elderly residents.

Horrible

Not the right place unless you’re ready for a nursing home. It’s advertised as a resort style living, but far from it. The staff were real nice when I moved in , however as soon as I decided I wasn’t happy there, they became rude and at the end very mean. They made my move out very difficult. The food was disgusting, cold and it was hit or miss if you received the food you ordered. The residents weren’t very nice either. I would not recommend my parents or anyone over 55 ever living here. They just want your money and nothing else. So they will sale you a dream vision of the place, but once you move it it’s not as they would have you believe. Frankly I felt I should have been reimbursed for the false advertising and emotional and mental anguish I suffered at the end. They made my move so stressful that caused my health issues to flare. I was really shocked at their true colors and how they treated me.

Would never recommend memory care

We had a very bad experience overall, the food was not edible on the memory care side, it was not good at all. Our family hired an outside agency to with the care at the community because the staff did not do much. Our loved ones clothes went missing at one point, the management was not willing to work with us and their was no leadership.

Disappointed - Family/Friend
Memory Care

Very poor management, service and food

There is significant turnover in care givers due to poor management and supervision. Further management appears disinterested and aloof from interacting with residents. Often evening shift is understaffed due to absenteeism. Inadequate help serving in dining room and particularly on weekends. For the entire assistive living mealtime, service is usually carried out by one who dishes out the food and another delivering the plate. Management has been known to yell at residence. There has been untrained or poorly trained med distributors resulting in errors in medicating residents, with at least one known overdose. Food quality is substandard and poorly prepared. Portion control is inadequate and menus repetitious. Residence concerns are rarely addressed in a satisfactory manner. Residence town hall meeting occur without microphones making communication difficult for most residence. [removed] by staff is a recurring problem. Building and room quality is fine.
