The main thing is to make sure that everyone is on the same page when it comes to the care of your loved ones. Communication was not the best but they did return calls in a timely manner. I would recommend this community to others.
my parent is here and does not get the care she needs. it is almost all dietary related - they only serve pre-packaged meals that are high sodium, and high carbs - with most of the residents requiring a low sodium and low carb diet. Seriously - it's a HUGE problem and with multiple complaints, multiple meetings - it just is not changing. And it's not at all healthy. There is a major problem here with staff - so much turnover - and the kitchen staff is the major center of it.
Our mom was a resident at The Lodges of Durand . She received excellent care in a very warm and welcoming environment. Towards the end of her stay there she was on Hospice care. The staff of The Lodges worked with Hospice so that our mom could be with people she had come to love in a place she had come to call home. This was a tremendous comfort to us. We will forever be grateful.
We like the care from the staff at this community. We like the clean community for my father. His room is very nice and very big and he is happy with the nice size. They offer a good menu that my father is please with .Activities are offer for him to participate with the other residents. We would recommend this community for the care of loved one .

I toured this community for care. They had the excellent staff. The community was nice and taken care of. The dining room was nice but we did not see the meals or a menu. There are a good variety of activities. We would recommend that families take a look at this community for the care of a loved one.
