Our loved one has since passed away but during the time our loved one was there we absolutely loved Courtyard Manor. They treated him so wonderfully, we could not of been any happier, our family was so pleased. We would definitely recommend this community to others and have already recommended this community.
The Director, [name removed] is wonderful and we feel she tried very hard to meet our needs. To place someone in a memory care facility the expectation would be for staff to be well versed in an array of memory care activities. Unfortunately, this was not our experience at all. At our insistence the Director ensured our request for the resident to walk around the yard whenever necessary-at least 3 times per day was met. Had we not made this request he literally would have spent the entire day alone in his room. As for dietary, the food is very poor which was immediately surprising and disappointing. After expressing our concerns, once again the director intervened. There were three individuals who we felt provided genuine outstanding care and concern and they were [names removed]. They were simply wonderful and they genuinely cared about their patient's welfare. Aside from these three individuals, our experience with anyone else was the complete opposite. Blatant dishonesty and rudeness was common.
Thank you so much for your suggestions. I received several phone calls from various facilities you suggested and they were all very good about helping us find a place for our loved one. Swartz Creek is GREAT and we're extremely pleased with the level of care being received. The staff is FABULOUS; words cannot express our gratitude. The Cyr Family
My mother is doing well here at this community. Everything is working out very well. She is receiving great care at this community. I'am pleased with all they have done for us.
Having to move Mom from one facility to Court yard was difficult on her. The staff understand that and help her to acclimate to her new surrounds. She is more active here and I can never reach her by phone as she is never in her room. They get appetizing meals, something her last place did not provide. Her room is always clean even though she seems to like hiding her clothes and snacks. I would recommend Courtyard for someone who needs supervision with some daily needs or more help as I have seen the care they give to everyone.
It has only been 2 weeks since Mom moved in but she seems to be doing really well. The staff has made her very welcome. She has gone on a outing and converses with other residence, something she would not do at her previous residence. The meals appear appetizing and she enjoys them. The only problem I have is that she has been categorized a level 2 and I don't feel she is there yet. The management is going to discuss this with me as they have been very understanding.
I was going to give a deposit to this community, however this was before we toured the community mom is currently living in. This is a small community of about 19 beds and it felt more like a nursing home. I did not think it was active enough for her.
The staff is very attentive and take really good care of my dad. The staff communicates very well and is very helpful in answering all of my questions. They offer very appetizing food. The community is kept very clean and smells nice. I would recommend this community!
My mom is doing really good at her community. We are all set and we think this is a very good place. I would recommend them and A Place For Mom to others. They are very nice and the facility looks very nice too. We think she is under very good care.
I toured this community for my mother and I was very impressed with what I saw. From what I saw the community is very well maintained, everything looked nice and clean. The staff was courteous and welcoming. They were informative and answered my questions. If my mother is to move here, I do feel that she will be in good hands. I feel like this would be a positive atmosphere for her.
