This is a gorgeous but mellow place with caring staff members. I had surgery and my needs were complex and the nursing team was able to make me feel safe and their expertise to hospital like procedures kept me worry free. I was discharged home with their outpatient therapy. Their therapy is top notch. The best therapy team you'll find anywhere. The therapy gym is clean. I toured upstairs too before being discharged. I toured a couple of model rooms and they are gorgeous. Some bigger than others but beautiful. Food is provided at the assisted living. It was very impressive to see that the therapy team work with the residents in the assisted living patients too. The breakdown was good and I knew when my wound doctor came and the infectious disease, they had pain management doctor coming in too. Therapy used dry needling to ease my pain. As i said my case was complex, they had a machine in therapy that helped me deal with incontinence. Thank you health care of Plano for a job well done... Read more

I toured this community. The Assisted Living side felt a little dark.
Mom went to HRP after being hospitalized after a fall. At first, her therapy was a success. After time, mom was able to dress, use the toilet, and do all other self-care alone. She could also walk 250 feet. She was due to be release on a Friday, but a problem arose with her new accommodations and she had to stay over the weekend. During that time, she fell 3 times and was reinjured. By Monday, she couldn’t dress herself, walk more than 50 feet without resting, and she needed to stop for breath after just a few words. HRP should have called mom’s insurance company, reported her injuries and requested that her coverage be extended so she could heal. Instead, they discharged her. Her new assisted living home said that they never would have admitted her if they knew about her condition. Mom ended up back in the hospital for a second time. She left HRP in worse condition than she entered.

My mother needed a short term rehabilitation facility in October 2020, and after reading the most recent reviews of Healthcare Resort of Plano, I chose this facility. Don't let the reviews, the appearance of the facility, and the untruths told by the administration fool you!! I'm so very sorry to this day that I let my mother into this HORRIBLE, UNORGANIZED, NON CARING, NEGLECTFUL, RUDE, UNATTENTIVE, MISGUIDED, UNPROFESSIONAL, NONRESPONSIVE, FACILITY!!!!! From the top administrator [name removed] who oversees a disfunctional facility, to the nurses [names removed] who are the upmost of noncaring, arrogant, and RUDE. MY MOTHER PASSED AWAY 48 HOURS AFTER LEAVING THIS FACILITY. THIS FACILITY NEGLECTED MY MOTHER'S MEDICAL NEEDS. WHEN I PICKED UP MY MOM, SHE WAS DIRTY, SMELLY, HER HAIR WAS VERY MATTED, VERY SICK, AND CLEARLY NEGLECTED!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES TO THIS FACILITY!!! I SURELY REGRET IT!!!!!!! Read ALL of the reviews for this facility. [name removed] in 2017 and I had the same experience.

The best in Plano. Clean, no smell, therapy team is great. I do outpatient therapy here and I love it. They have alternative approach to pain management during therapy sessions.

The facility will be 2 years old May 2018. Common spaces are nice and welcoming. There are 30 units at this location, meals are served in an a la carte fashion - when you want it and where you want it.

My mother was in the 'skilled nursing' unit on the first floor so that she could have rehab for an injury. At first, I was impressed by the new construction, cleanliness, and the rehab staff. That staff is good! However, it quickly became apparent that the facility is very understaffed/undertrained in terms of floor nurses and aides. They are pleasant enough, but the staff let her sleep in her clothes for days because she forgot that she had pajamas in the drawer. No one was there to assist her getting undressed at night. In addition, if she ran out of clothes, they showered her and put dirty clothes back on her without calling me. Really?

Nice and clean place, but had a feeling of a "nursing home" rather than a place to "live". The name is not good for a place to live long-term.

The rooms were small and the lay out was not really comfortable. The kitchen was way too small. No counter space at all. It just felt unfinished.
