My grandma had a terrible experience at this hospital she had a heart condition yet they didn't give her anything in case of an emergency, she also fell a couple times yet they wouldn't help her. I would suggest not taking any of your older family members to come here

The Grove was our second choice, it is a great place and all of the staff were so friendly. The location was just a little further from me than I would have liked.

This is a different type of assisted living. It is more of an apartment or older hotel feeling which works very well for our loved one. Other living options available there. They could use more staff but do a good job overall. They are friendly and attentive. The rooms are spacious with a sliding glass door and very small patio which adds to the spacious feel. The bathrooms are a bit smaller and not as modern. A large walk in closet and another spacious closet provide ample storage. The facility is an older building located a few blocks from the Mission Inn in downtown Riverside which makes a nice walk. Located in a residential type neighborhood makes this feel more homey. Parking for visitors can be difficult at times. I have heard some residents complain about the food but seems to be fairly standard and no complaints on our end. The biggest issue is probably the slow elevators! If you are looking for a mid or lower priced facility, this is a good choice. I cannot compare the living here to other facilities. This is not a smaller more intimate setting so may not work as well for some or perhaps a more elderly person or those who need a more social environment. There is a variety of age groups here. They also have independent living. There are daily activities. Transportation to appointments or activities is provided and [name removed] is so helpful and accommodating to his passengers. After visiting several places we decided on The Grove and after some time feel we made the best choice for our loved one.

I toured this place last Saturday and I had a great experience. The place was clean, almost every staff member said hello and asked if I needed any help. I brought my mom for lunch that weekend as well and she really liked the food. We even saw one of the staff members eating with a resident. When I asked him why he was eating with the residents he said, “we always test the food out to make sure it tastes good”. I was really impressed and so was my mom. The girl giving us the tour seemed to know everyone by name and everyone was trying to talk with her. You can tell they liked her and talking to her made them feel better. We put a deposit down and will be moving in next month. I hope this helps anyone in the future when deciding on a place.

Went to tour the facility. It’s beautiful with lots of pretty furniture, it’s super clean, friendly staff and has spacious rooms. I was given a tour by [name removed] the Administrator. She was patient and friendly with us. I would have loved to move my mom in there that day but unfortunately they were full (which is a good sign), we put ourselves on the waiting list though. Their prices are absolutely amazing for the care they provide. I definitely I recommend others come and see this facility.

I toured on a Saturday when there wasn't a lot of reception staff available to help me, so I had to wait a while. Once I was helped, the woman was very friendly. The studio room seemed a little smaller than other facilities I had toured. There wasn't a lot of parking for visitors though, and on a weekend near the Mission Inn in Riverside, there is almost always some event going on, so there wasn't a lot of street parking either. It seemed a little too accessible to me from the street, and not enough private walking area outside for seniors who might be more mobile. It would probably be best for seniors who by nature of their health were naturally more confined to indoors.

The Grove is a top notch senior care facility. I loved the fact that The Grove is spotless and always smells fresh. The color scheme is uplifting and Has the feeling as if you are walking into a fancy hotel, but warmer. I also like they have all levels of care including rehabilitation. This way, my Mom would always be going back "home" if she had a hospital stay. But, what "sold" me was that my Mom loves it here! I can understand why, the staff is caring, the tightly knit community that is felt amongst the residents, the food is delicious and the activities are top notch. The Grove will not disappoint!

The clean facility maybe five star but the care given is substandard lights are on forever before anyone responds. The therapy dept the actual workers do a great job the head of them and the social worker are all talk and chart things untrue to pass things off with medicare etc. they are not for the patient its about money and keep that five star unearned rating.. If your loved one will depend on them find another place....

The Grove Care and Wellness My parents are residents in the assisted living facility at The Grove Care and Wellness. My step father had to be placed in the skilled nursing facility there and at the same time my mother was placed in home Hospice. The General Manager and his assistance made sure that my mother could remain there to be close to my step father while on hospice. Everyone there are the most compassionate people I ever met. My father remains there residing in the assisted living unit and likes it.

I am very happy with the way the staff at this community took care of my mother while she was there. The maintenance did a fantastic job keeping her room clean, nothing was ever out of place. They always returned her clothes back to her room and put them away for her, there was never any confusion. The food served was great! Very delicious and nutritious. I would defiantly recommend this place to anyone,

For a five star facility as they are rated, this place really needs to work on actually caring for their patients. The service is at times mediocre and we've had nurses tell our dad that he shouldn't bother with pressing the call button because they are too busy doing rounds. We've had bad experiences with special requests (as our dad would need help getting in and out of the wheelchair.. They would let him sit in the wheelchair for hours before they'd find available staff to help him go to bed). If you are looking for a quality care facility, look elsewhere! They may have nice furniture and a nice place, but believe me, they will not take time to make your loved one feel comfortable. They only do their job at the minimum & we had a huge mess with them getting medicines & records right. We complained to the social worker (Lily) and she promised changes but never followed through. They will tell you all you want to hear but won't actually do it.

We are very happy with them so far. My loved one likes the food. We have't had any complaints. I would think they get a five.

My brother has been there a little while and I would have thought that they would have his routine down by now. I have asked repeatedly for certain things, and I just don't get them. For example, I have told them that when they serve him breakfast in his room, they need to open the milk for him as he has arthritis and cannot open it himself. They still do not do that after multiple requests, so he cannot even drink the milk they bring. Any time he buzzes for needing something, it can take an hour before they respond. Some of the staff there (particularly the higher ups) are very friendly, but some of the others act as if they are doing my brother a favor just for doing their job, rather than doing it cheerfully.
