I'm speaking to one about it tomorrow. The staff at the Grove is incredible. The fact that a large part of the staff are still there from when my father lived there from 2012 until he passed to heaven in 2015 is a testimony to the type of organization and caring in that community. To be hugged on and loved on by staff when we moved my mom in was so helpful in our own stress of finding the right place for her. She made her own choice but we were so happy she chose the Grove. Already the staff has been incredibly flexible to my mom's needs and [name removed] the chef made a special gluten free meal for our family in the family dining room the day we moved her in... that kind of special attention can't be found everywhere! The quality of care...my only concern was that the staff were not always on the same page. My MIL needed more than the average care for an Assisted Living facility, so it might have been more appropriate to have put her in a Skilled Nursing facility....but she adamantly refused to go to one. I don't think she ever adapted to being there. Her health declined rapidly and we lost her after she was in there for 3 1/2 months. But we don't blame the facility. They were very supportive and accommodating when hospice had to be called in. And extremely helpful during her hospice care. It's a great facility overall. Had her health and mobility been better, she might have thrived there. Would I choose this facility if it were me? Absolutely, I would.
