It's a very warm and inviting place. Everyone there is great to work with, it's just a really good place.
All of the staff members are really good and super helpful. Our loved one does not really participate in the social activities but he really enjoys going down to listen to the live music entertainment. We do think the residents sometimes get a little to much sugar.
My loved one has been at Carmel Village at Clovis now for almost 3 months and it has been a great experience so far, we have no complaints. This facility was our first choice and it has turned out to be a great one. I would definitely recommend the facility to others looking.

We have been very impressed with the care services so far, however there could be some improvements. The meals and dining service could be better it is not the best, and it seems like the activities are pretty repetitive so they could offer more of a variety. Also they could improve on their internal organization especially when it comes to the laundry service, our loved one has had things go missing and the house keeping.

This is a very nice place for an elderly parent to be. We feel very confident in their care that they are providing our loved one. We couldn't have more peace of mind with the staff and our loved one being in their care. My loved one has had a nurse check on them a couple of times. The meals are good and a variety of meals offered.

Our family is happy overall. My biggest complaint was the handoff day when we took our loved one in. It was a little disorganized and could have been handled differently. I was disappointed that the transition didn't go smoothly for our family and ultimately for our loved one. But the facility is very nice. Everyone has been friendly. I've seen some activities going on in the little amount of time I've been there personally. And overall, we're happy with Carmel Village.

They did a great job working with my family to get the best rates due to my loved ones limited income. They were very accommodating and helped us greatly with knowing what to do and what all needed to happen to get the best care for our loved one.

Our tour with Carmel Village was great! They offered a lot but we felt the facility itself was too big for our loved one and the size made it feel less homey.
If your loved one is independent this is not a good fit. The food is not very good and sometimes my mom goes without because she can't eat what they serve. In the past, the staff has not been as friendly as they should have. The price has been raised and we were told several things that would be done upfront but it was not. They have recently changed management and communication is better.

I was given a tour of the facility as well as an overview of the care given. A counselor answered all my questions. Best of all, the residents I encountered seemed very happy there. They had good things to say.

Meals can be the highlight of the day for people at this period in their lives. After two , month long visitation stays, as I reside out of state, I have found the food and service to be mediocre at best, at times painfully poor. I realize it is difficult for most to invest this time observing their loved ones living environment but I am sure for many like myself, unless Jesus walks through the door my parents are the most important people on the face of this earth.I am curious but there seem to be far to many five star ratings.

[Name removed] was amazing. She answered all my questions and showed the best cottage living home. It would be perfect for my parents BUT they ARE NOT ready to move at this time. I tried but dad says they are fine where they are for now. We are still talking to them. Thanks for the suggestion Best one yet.

We placed my mother in this facility and she could not be happier. [Name removed], the GM, is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. The food is outstanding, and the facility is very clean. My mother has found a new family, and now that she is in her final few days, the people care for her like she is their mother, not a resident. Do yourself and your loved one a favor and go tour the facility.

Very friendly and fast paced atmosphere. Good organization and the administration covers all the bases. Great cottages for independent living and clean, tasteful decorated main building for residents. Very good first impression and would schedule another

Best thing is cleanliness . You would think the walls would all be banged up, but it's not. Food is exceptional, chicken dishes are the best. Always hot. Plus, I asked for them to start having whole milk, and they made sure we had it. Funny how the waitresses say asparagus and chicken Kiev. They need to visit some fancy restaurants sometimes so they can read the specials correct. The one thing they could work on is the laundry, but I am learning the ropes here too.
