I would recommend it. This is a locked memory unit. Some of the things that have been promised have not been yet and we are trying to working through those now. The staff were supposed to be helping my loved one get out of bed. They told my sister that if my mother didn't want to get up, then she wouldn't get her up. She was in bed after 2pm. She had not had her medications as well. They provide activities for the memory care residents like painting, coloring, amongst other things. They go on field trips. The facility has very good ratings, we have had very few problems or complaints. The memory care portion is completely separate from the assisted living side. We went with Paintbrush because my sister knows another family that has her mother in the memory care unit as well. I have eaten here twice and love it, the food is great and they are higher end meals, I would compare them to nice restaurants. The meals are not served on a strict schedule which is great so your loved one will never go hungry, I would give the friendliness of the staff a 10 if I could. The pay is all inclusive so they are not nickel and diming you like some other places. They always call you if there are any questions or concerns and really go above and beyond. They keep the doors open to residents rooms so sometimes things get taken or people wander in, but that seems to be an issue wherever you go. Setting up the pharmacy and the new doctor paperwork was easy, they cross all the T's and dot the I's for you. Mom is always clean when we go to visit, her room is tidy, and her laundry is done on a regular basis. They have activities going on throughout the day so there is always something to do. They have someone who comes in that does the residents hair and she is so kind and patient. We got a private room with a private bathroom which was a huge bonus. They have a courtyard right outside of the common room and luckily moms room overlooks the courtyard so she can watch the hummingbirds. She is really thriving here and has improved greatly. They have great safety protocols and really have the residents safety and best interest as the top priority. Overall they have been great and are like family to us. We are very happy with our experience so far and they have given us peace of mind. I would tell others to look here first then go and look at the others.

I toured this property a while back; but it came between Paintbrush and another community. Overall it boiled down to size and availability.
I went to visit at 1:30pm, and asked the front desk if we could visit in the main lounge area. [name removed], the receptionist said that area was only for Assisted Living. [name removed], the new MC Director, came to the desk and said we could. She said my friend had eaten her lunch & desert and was ready for me. I went to the MC side there she sat, with her head on her chest, white as a ghost, her food untouched. One of the aids said my friend had been "playing with her food" for 1 1/2 hours. Her food was untouched. I have pictures. I asked if we could eat in the Activity Room , she said no because food sticks to the carpet. There is no carpet in the room. The aid came in and tried to make my friend sit down and friend got hysterical;. I told the aid I could get her to sit, which I did. My friend kept mumbling that she didn't want "those ladies in here". Her head was down and her hands were on either side of her face like she was trying to protect herself. I have videos .

The community was easy to work with, they answered all of our questions. They were helpful as they could be. They were always so pleasant when they would call to check in with us. My mother-in-law is super happy here.

The rooms at the community are spacious, but we moved our father because we did not think he was getting the proper nutrition and care he needed on the memory care side. We do not think the memory care side was as good as the other side.

Our experience was negative, our loved one became dehydrated and fell and broke his hip. Because of the dehydration it resulted in him being moved to memory care where he had to be reminded to drink his water.

This place is new and welcoming. They have all the facets and more that you could want or need. The staff is friendly and so exceptional. The residents were involved in activities. The rooms were clean and tidy and they serve food at anytime. They have a full calendar of activities. Definite place to consider. They also offer downsizing and moving help.

Switching to Paintbrush literally saved my mom's life. Mom is a memory care resident. In her former residence she was on over 14 drugs a day, some of which were conflicting in their intended results! She was set in a hallway all day and had to eat meals in her room due to low level of staff to patient ration and low staff motivation. At paintbrush there is more care and compassion in any ONE of their care providers than we previously received from the entire staff at her former facility. At Paintbrush every one of the staff are efficient, professional and yet genuinely caring and kind (and openly expressive of their caring and kindness). They are open and informative about her care plan as well as her meds. and daily activities. This communication is so important to us as each of her children live out of state. Our only regret is that we didn't get her in Paintbrush sooner!! We are forever grateful for all that Paintbrush has done and continues to do for our Mother. With Gratitude, [names removed]

My Mother and I really like this facility. For Mom, she liked the "hotel" look...less institutional. It's spotless, the staff are friendly and kind to their residents.

Understaffed Clean and well kept. A little pricey though. Owners seem to be more interested in their profits than hiring adequate & trained staff. Is there an RN on duty? How well is the staff trained to dispense meds? In an emergency or should one of the residents fall, or a fire erupts what happens? Do they just let my loved one fall or [Removed] because the owners don't want to add more staff because they want to collect it all? [Removed]! The State has been called numerous times on Paintbrush. What looks good on the outside isn't always good on the inside! I will continue to voice my comments, concerns and reviews until something changes there.

I have no complaints about how things are going for my mother since she has recently made the move into this community. The staff are friendly and have made sure to accommodate her needs to the best of there ability. Anytime we have had an issue the management teams handles it right away. They make sure to get mom bused over to her doctor appointments and that her medical needs are met. I would defiantly recommend it to anyone.

My mother recently made the move to Paintbrush Assisted Living and Memory Care a few weeks ago. She is still adjusting to the changes like meal times, activities times, and other changes. The meals that they provide for her are great, she likes them. She has a friend that moved in before her and liked it.

My tour of Paintbrush was a good experience. Everyone was very friendly and the place was very nice. It was just a bit more expensive than what we were looking for at the time.

We chose this community because when you walk in, it's like walking into your home, it is warm and inviting. The apartment that my loved one is in is very nice. The staff is excellent but they are short in staff. They also lack in organization and I believe that is also because they don't have enough people and it is a fairly new community. The food is terrible. I like the locations and the positive atmosphere, but they have some improvements to make.

My mother has been living at Paintbrush in a lovely apartment for a month now. The staff is very attentive and friendly. It's nice to be welcomed with a friendly smile each time my family and I visit. Facility is very clean and well maintained. Food is great too! It's nice to be able to have a nice meal with mom in the dining room.

I have really enjoyed having my mother at Paintbrush Assisted Living, she's doing well. However, she is diabetic and they have not provided a diabetic food menu item for her. Her Dr has it on her orders as well that she needs to be on a diabetic diet. There is another resident having the same issue as well. There are not very many activities, especially in the evening. After the activities director leaves for the day, the residents are very bored. I think this place could use a dietitian and evening activities.
