Great place to live. I picked this community, because of the independent living cottages, and the value for price is good.

The staff were nice during the tour and they provided great information. We didn't see any of the residents during the tour. The community felt like a nursing home to us.
Our family had an in person tour and we were arrived late morning and all the residents were still in their rooms, there was not a lot of activity going on. Also we first were schedule to see the more independent living but we realized our loved one would need more assisted living and when we wanted to see the assisted living side she was not really interested anymore and said if we had questions we should just email her.
Our family had an in person tour and this was a very close second choice for us, we really liked everything we saw but the location was just to far away from us.
I think The Brennity at Melbourne Senior Living is great.

We toured with The Brennity at Melbourne and thought it was a very nice facility. The staff were great and showed us all around and answered all of our questions. We just got a different feel at another place from all of the people and that was the reason we decided to go with them over this one.
What we really like about The Brennity is that it is very clean and peaceful. They have rules there which they follow especially when it comes to covid and if they ever have an outbreak. They are very on top of it, they are not lackadaisical about things and we feel our loved one is very safe there. It also is just a beautiful community and we would recommend them to other families.

We toured The Brennity at Melbourne Senior Living, the community was very lovely, we liked the people and it seemed very nice. At The Brennity when you move from independent to assisted living, you are basically living out of one room. I felt as though I'd would've been moving into a hospital. Our top two community choices allowed residents to stay in a normal independent apartment, but assistance comes in and helps with whatever you need throughout the day. We preferred that rather than being in a single room. I didn't like that idea at all.
Living at The Brennity My wife and I moved to the BRENNITY,Melbourne Fl in May of 2018. When we moved into our cottage it was very nice, - people were friendly, employees were friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. Around the last of November or the first of December everything changed for the worse. Decisions by local managers as well as people from corporate changed our transportation arrangements, we had to wait three weeks to go shopping (at Christmastime!), we could only get free transportation to doctors on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and extreme costs were charged for other trips. The food became noticeably worse and folks began to move out. After a short period of time a group of home office employees came in and had a meeting with all concerned residents. All of the local managers subsequently disappeared, and some of the home office people were assigned to get things in better shape.

The Brennity did a very nice job with our tour. I really liked the facility and the staff, but they only had studio apartments available and my loved one was looking for something bigger with multiple rooms. They did great with following up with us after the tour to check in.
Our family had an in person tour and it was fine, we liked that it had a washer and dryer in the unit which made doing laundry very convenient. However with our loved one still being able to drive the location is a pretty busy area and he did not really care for that.
Not enough staff, food shortage, did dispense medication properly - Residents falling numerous times needing hospital care w/ stittches - spouse sent to hospital and no one contacted me.

We chose The Brennity because it had a large independent living section. The apartment sizes here are very nice size. The residents are very friendly and welcoming. It does seem that they have been short staffed recently. I would recommend to others looking.

We specifically chose this community because it felt more like a resort hotel, it did not feel institutional or hospital like. You can rent small homes, apartments, they have assisted living and memory care. The residents can roam indoors and never run out of places to go. Nothing is locked down so you are free to go wherever whenever, the residents have a sense of independence. They have basketball, bocce, lakes and a swimming pool. So if grand-kids come to visit they can swim in the pool, or do the other activities the community offers. Our only issues we had is with the nursing staff, their communication was horrible. They did not seem to know what was going on, and we figured out because the traveling doctor told us they recently lost the head nurse so it was taking awhile for the new staff members to get trained, and everyone was always so apologetic. However, putting the communication aside, the care they showed our loved one was wonderful, this was truly the best place he could of been at. He was only there for two months before passing but our family had such a positive experience.

They are putting in good efforts to bring back the activities, but they are still pretty limited. We do think the value for cost is appropriate and we would recommend The Brennity community to others.

When we first moved in ,this was a beautiful southern mansion style facility. It’s been remodeled to look like a dentist office with no awareness of geriatric safety, tile floors for main areas very slippery in rain and a hard surface to for falls. They havehad 12 managers in 12 years! Corporate offices in Texas . Recently added recreational area which over 80’s could not use- anyone want to push a 4 foot chess piece? In the heat of florida with no shade coverings? No triage medical services- don’t be fooled by claims for on site nursing for Independant living. No small market for basics like milk. Expect at least 3% increases in rent every year. The remaining staff is great and trying very hard! Apartments are a nice size and include washer and dryers., but make sure the rug is replaced before you move in.

Our experience has been great so far, she loves the food there it is serve restaurant style for every single meal. The chef there is great, the community is very nice and clean. The staff members are always friendly to us. The activities were limited for awhile due to the restrictions, but now they are starting to bring things back and let the residents walk around freely.

I am thinking of taking my husband out. He has fallen and they do not know how he fell. The first time his medications were due for renewal, they waited until he ran out so they could use their pharmacy instead of VA> they did tell us they were gonna take him and drop him off at his appointments. They are very understaffed and when you talk to the director he says they are not understaffed. They have 1 nurse for the entire facility, that is for independent living, assisted living, and memory care. They have their doctor come in without any authorization and prescribe sedatives for memory care patients. Overall it has not been a very good experience.

We haven't been able to visit since April, and the communication has severally been lacking between the staff members and the residents and the staff members and the families. Our loved one fell outside and she had to get herself over to a tree to get yourself up and the staff didn't know about it. She had also fallen in her room, she was able to pull the cord to get help but the staff members did not tell us about it like they should of, we had to hear about it from our loved one.
