I was not impressed with Sunrise. There would be staff that got my loved one confused, with other residents when the family would check on our loved one. There were times that the staff would lock our loved one in their room. Then the staff claims that someone must have accidently locked the door. The memory care floor seemed to be dingy. There are three floors of the community. The assisted living floors might be different than the memory care area that

I would highly recommend Sunrise of Chesterfield. They can handle medical needs like a skilled nursing home but they have the look and feel of a luxury retirement community. Both of my parents are moving in a few weeks from now. My siblings met the entire team in the tour and parted with a homemade cheesecake made by the chef. My family was very impressed with the activities they saw while they were on their tour. My parents can’t wait to move in!

The recent price hikes really suck. Because of these unexpected price hikes for example $50 a day they're going to be pricing my brother right out of that home. Because of this reason, I would not recommend Sunrise of Chesterfield to others.
[name removed] and [name removed] were so very kind and hospitable. The community is so clean and the staff look so happy to work there. [name removed] holds such care and positivity when she comes to work and it’s comforting to see someone like that being in her role as the leader of the building.

Dad is happy here, but we're still not sure about it. He loves the place and the residents. One of my biggest concerns is the response time. It's often unacceptable. I've asked if they are understaffed and they say they are not, but dad is still having to wait 30 minutes to an hour for a response a lot of times when pushing his call button for assistance. They have a bus for outings and we were told that they do them weekly, but they don't. Outings are very rare. I asked a few other residents and they said it's normal that they don't have outings very often at all. Every day seems exactly the same for them. Activities aren't organized. Dad has tried to participate, but some of the residents there to play can't mentally engage and he would get frustrated. So he stopped going to them. They did just get a new manager, so I'm hoping things improve. The staff is hit and miss, some are compassionate and to some it's just a job. Meals are ok, no complaints from dad. The facility is clean, it never smells. When I expressed my concerns/complaints, I was asked to give them 30 days to correct things and make it right, so we're still waiting. At this point, I'm not sure if I would recommend them.

The location of Sunrise was further away than we would have liked. They only had an upper level apartment available which would not have worked. The facility itself was not as clean as some others we looked at and the atmosphere was more dark.

I think they're very pleasant and very helpful. The only thing that's a pain - and I know they have to do this for safety - but every time you come in, you have to use the computer and put your name / address / phone number / and why you're there, which can be hard if your hands are full. Parking isn't too good either - there's not enough of it.

They just don't have enough help. Because of that, their services are not up to par. The staff are okay. The night staff seems to be very attentive to my loved one, but the day staff not so much. We give reminders, and then they don't follow through. Again, they are just so short-staffed. Their medical wellness center is awesome though. I give that 5 stars. And the apartment is lovely. But the care is just not up to par.

Our family had an in person tour and the facility is nice, the room sizes were very nice and gave an edge over another community. The people were super friendly here, even though you could tell they were short staffed.
Our family had an in person tour and the lady there was extremely friendly, but the rooms were just to small and they seem to nickel and dime for everything. The place was beautiful though.
I was not a fan of Sunrise of Chesterfield. I felt like it was dark and dingy and I did not like the room arrangements.

This community is very much like home and everyone is very friendly. They seem to take very good care of the residents at this community. They have activities like word association, bingo, social hour and alcholic drinks. They also have a lot of karaoke for the residents to sing.

This is a very friendly place but right now they are understaffed. The staff are not providing a clean environment especially in the dining room. They have no to none activities for the residents. They watch a lot of t.v. and there is someone there who is not really fit for the activities director. Memory care is not treated well and they are supposed to be getting together to make a new calendar for the activities but we have not seen changes yet.

We've had a few issues here or there, but everything has always been straightened out once we brought it to their attention, including an issue with the room and a financial/billing issue. We really like the size of the community. It's a little smaller than some of the places that we looked at, so there aren't long hallways that you can get lost in. I think they provide all the care that we need for our loved one. All of the receptionists, and one in particular, are so nice when we walk in. We feel like they are responsible with Covid issues. They require mask wearing and hand washing, and they do contact tracing. So we're comfortable with that. They offer a lot of activities, although our loved one has not been able to participate in much. But we've been pleased overall.

My mother-in-law is doing well and getting stronger after breaking he hip at home. There have been a few details that needed straightened out but staff was very helpful getting these issues work out. The staff-especially the receptionists are all very friendly and helpful.

Our tour with Sunrise was really good. The facility was just a little too far for what we were looking for.
The activities would be much better but they are limited because of the covid restriction. Our first impression of Sunrise was that it seemed more homey, and that it is non institutional.
