He loves the place and the residents. One of my biggest concerns is the response time. It's often unacceptable. I've asked if they are understaffed and they say they are not, but dad is still having to wait 30 minutes to an hour for a response a lot of times when pushing his call button for assistance. They have a bus for outings and we were told that they do them weekly, but they don't. Outings are very rare. I asked a few other residents and they said it's normal that they don't have outings very often at all. Every day seems exactly the same for them. Activities aren't organized. Dad has tried to participate, but some of the residents there to play can't mentally engage and he would get frustrated. So he stopped going to them. They did just get a new manager, so I'm hoping things improve. The staff is hit and miss, some are compassionate and to some it's just a job. Meals are ok, no complaints from dad. The facility is clean, it never smells. When I expressed my concerns/complaints, I was asked to give them 30 days to correct things and make it right, so we're still waiting.
