  • Not recommend for Memory Care

I had issues with the hospice nurse. She ended up very medicated. They do not have a lot of activities, there were no trips offered. They have a new director and a new activities director so hopefully things will improve.. They only do activities in the Assisted Living not in Memory care. The staff is good and does their best. The issue is with leadership. My mom declined quickly after she moved to Raintree. We did not have good communication with the community. The more experienced care givers got moved to Assisted Living not Memory Care. The nurses are very good but they are spread thin.

  • Be Very Cautious/No Care During Meals

I'm a resident here. There is NO assistance during breakfast or lunch. According to the executive director, caregivers are not allowed to help residents during that time. This has been a major point of contention as I was led to believe I could get help 24/7. When I visited, before I moved in, I was offered a room for a certain price. I specifically asked for no carpet because I'm in a wheelchair. The day I moved, I was put in the smallest room they have, with carpet and a mirror that was too high for me to see into. I was told that this room was temporary and they would move me as soon as a larger room became available. It's been almost 5 months and I'm still in the small room. WORD to the WISE: Get everything in writing and don't sign to say you received any paperwork before you actually have it in your hands. I would highly suggest you get a camera too. Raintree Terrace tried to increase my rate by $1,000 without a notice. My room isn't cleaned weekly. Sheets aren't changed, and a few of the caregivers are very disrespectful, staying on their cell phones, refusing care, and cussing. I'm often treated like a misbehaving teenager. So why so many stars? 2nd and 3rd shift have been great, for the most part, after the caregivers who didn't want to help me get in the shower moved to 1st shift.

  • They had a duty but did not deliver.

I chose Raintree Terrace for my Dad believing he would be safe and cared for. We chose a Private Memory Care room and I paid $4,680. We made arrangements to have him transported from SC to TN. I changed his room to Semi-Private due to the expense of transport. Raintree was in contact with the Rehab center and also the Hospital he was being discharged from all week before he got there. We were promised there would be a NP there to evaluate him on arrival. All I got was one nurse covering Assisted Living and Memory Care. I trusted she would do the right thing but my father was deceased by 3pm the next day. His BP went into stroke territory but they did not call an ambulance and did not have his meds ready for him. When I got the call the Administrator sent me to the Emergency Room but he never arrived there and I had to go back to Raintree. I believed the girls at Raintree when they said I should chose them and they would take care of my father. They did not and he was dead in less than 24 hours. Do not fall for all the fancy stuff. Make sure there are responsible people who make good decisions. They had a responsibility to call an Ambulance if the situation was beyond what they could provide. No one did. They were provided all the info they needed from the Rehab center and the Hospital along with Dx reports and his prescriptions. They were ill prepared for his arrival. I am sorry I chose Raintree.
