Autumn Care

Our experience with Autumn Care was extremely poor. During such an emotional and stressful time we felt taken advantage of and cheated. None of the information we were given verbally matched up with the paperwork received. When we attempted to cancel prior to the assessment our deposit was cashed and we were told there was no refund available, even though they admitted the information we received was incorrect. Our attempts to reach the owners have been met with total silence. Please don’t make the same mistakes we did in trusting Autumn Care.

The initial contact was very unprofessional, I still made the appointment. We felt it was all about the money, the owner had to meet a golf time, so barely had time to meet us. They don't give any snacks during the day. There was a girl that had just cleaned a resident, and still had the gloves on, and pushed the button to get on the elevator anyway. We just felt they were more about money than the residents, and opted for something else that is working very well.

We've had a very good experience with Autumn Care, overall! The facility itself looks very nice, they do a great job of keeping it clean, and there's usually some sort of activity going on for the residents. The staff are friendly and professional, and they provide excellent care for the residents. I really can't think of anything that I think they've done poorly!

They are doing a great job. The only thing is the scheduled cleaning is once a week and I think they may need it a little more often. I have been overall very pleased with Autumn care and with Brenda the administrator, they helped make this as painless as possible. They eat well and enjoy the food. I like that If you have one parent that needs memory care and one that doesn't, they don't have to separate them.

Brenda was extremely friendly and helpful, but they did not have any rooms in their Karns location, and only one expensive room in West Knoxville. In addition, we would need to furnish the room and we were looking for furniture provided.

The director has been extremely helpful and caring, and the staff seems dedicated and pleasant at all times. The building is new and attractive. I didn't tour any other facilities, so I don't know how it compares to others.

I visited Autumn Care in Karns first after talking to several reps of other facilities. My daughter and I did a drive by of others. Then I took a tour of the Faragut facility followed by several more visits to talk with the director, residents, and even had a meal with them. Finally I shared my choice with my daughter in law and a friend. By the end of these visits I had decided this would be my new home. I have moved in,met wonderful staff, and made many wonderful friends in the two weeks I have lived here. During this time the few things I have asked for have been dealt with quickly. Autumn care. Is definitely the right decision for me.
