October 11, 2022Thank you so much for your positive comments about Arbor Terrace of Knoxville! Until the next time we meet, take care!
Arbor Terrace of Knoxville was my first choice. It was just a beautiful facility. The rooms were very nice. The ambiance and longevity of the staff really stood out to me, as did the friendliness and thoroughness of the person who led the tour. We chose a place that was a little less money and felt more affordable for us, but I'm somewhat questioning that choice now. . .

September 27, 2022We're happy to her you enjoyed your visit to our community. We hope to be of service to you again in the future!
There is no hesitation to place a loved one here. The care and the longevity of the staff sets the community apart from other communities in the area. The care that my loved one receives is personally geared to them. The staff communication with the family is good. The community sends out updates to the family about what activities our loved one has participated in. They also are prompt to send out and honest about concerns that may be happening in the community

August 27, 2022Donna, your wonderful feedback and rating mean a lot to us. If you ever need anything else from us, please feel free to give us a call or stop by. Have an awesome day!
I'll start with a caveat based on some of the other reviews complaining of meals served on disposable plates, etc. Because facilities like this are required by law to take more precautions than most of us during the pandemic & due to staffing shortages that every single industry is facing, you are not going to find ANY assisted living able to serve restaurant presentation type meals on fancy fine dinnerware right now. I've been in healthcare 30 years myself & have never seen more challenges in the industry. Please be gracious.... I would highly recommended Arbor Terrace. I only wish we had known about Arbor earlier. It was hard for Dad to leave his beautiful home - but there was just no way he could navigate the stairs and stay there alone anymore. But not only does he have a beautiful comfortable apartment there, I feel like we have both gained more family members in the beautiful community provided by the Arbor Terrace team. It's not just a place for Dad, it is home & family.

July 27, 2022Tracy C, your wonderful feedback and rating mean a lot to us. Thank you for sharing your experience! Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for your family; we are more than happy to help!
While they have MANY good people working there, who really care about the residents, we were “lied to” and had to move my Mom. I’m sharing this in hopes of preventing others from having to go through the same pains and hassle. Their food and food service was very substandard, which was a BIG misrepresentation, during their sales pitch. Much of it canned and always served on styrofoam with plastic utensils. Their sign in/accountability system is cumbersome and inefficient. And most importantly, they couldn’t seem to pay close enough attention in administering my Mom’s many medicines and because of that, the meds most likely were frequently not working properly. Don’t make the same mistake we made. Look around. There ARE better places in the area.

Our family had an in person tour and the tour was fine, but the reason we did not choose Arbor Terrace was because their memory care unit is on the third floor and we just did not feel comfortable with that.

December 21, 2021Carolyn P, thank you for your review and high star rating; we are happy to pass along your comments to the team here at Arbor Terrace of Knoxville. Have a great day!
The staff members here are very friendly, and the meals are pretty good. They activities are great, everyone there has been vaccinated so they are able to go out and about. It is a little expensive, but the services, friendliness of the staff and their communication is 100 times better then our previous community and completely worth it.

December 29, 2021Kimberly B, we're glad you had such a wonderful experience with us! Thank you again for leaving us this review!
I would want others to know that part of the reason for my ratings was that they have been quite understaffed since the pandemic. They do not have time to spend with residents anymore so if she needs any type of help it takes forever to wait. The main issue that I have is the food that they serve, they give lots of sandwiches for meals. The food they serve is pretty much just industrial, the quality is not good and it is not freshly made. They are not well balanced and portions are small. I have been taking her meals since she will not eat it. Since covid she has not been able to come out of her room at all so she is not getting any exercise recently whatsoever. As far as the nursing care, they are good and they check on her and make sure she is doing well. They have also been good about communicating with me if there are any issues.

I was very impressed with Arbor Terrace. All meds and health updates are entered on the computer directly after the resident has been checked on. This facility has both outside and inside video cameras, many do not. I'm very impressed with the training of all new hires. They have to interview with every department head and have a complete background check. Most of the staff here are tenured and have worked here at least 5 years and many have 10 years of service.

June 15, 2018Thank you very much for your insight. We take great pride in having what we feel is the best staff in senior living today. We are so glad we could meet your high standards!
Very impressive. The thing that stood out most to me was the long term tenure of many of their staff. They love working here and they love seniors. I think this would be an excellent choice.

We toured this community and we were so impressed with the menu. We liked the staff and the community were very clean and maintained. They had great entertainment when we toured the community. This is a nice community. Families might want to see the community for the care and the cost. They did not have a lot of men at that this community. Families might consider a tour of this community

We are pretty pleased with it so far. All the people we initially made contact with, seems to be real enjoyable to work with. They are very open about things. Seeing the staff's interaction with the residents, seems like more of a family than just a job. The other residents seem to be pretty welcoming. He loves the food there. They have him going from one activity to another, and they keep him pretty busy. They were pretty similar in price to everything.

We toured this community when we were looking into care options for my loved one. I really liked the look of this community. It was a beautiful facility, and the staff all seemed very friendly and professional. Unfortunately it was a bit too far for us to consider it as an option, but it is definitely worth a look!

This seemed about the same as the other two places that I saw. It was clean, the staff was friendly and the price was about the same. It seemed like a good option but they didn't have any space available at the time.
