They're doing really well with my family member. This is the second place we've had him at, and we like it a lot better. It's half the price. The building is nicer. The staff are good people. [name removed], the head nurse has been really helpful to us. And [name removed], his caregiver has been great. I'm really pleased with his care. Also, he's a picky eater, and he likes the food there.

It is friendly community and clean. The only thing is the hot water runs out to fast and billing is confusing and takes time to understand.
Everyone is so kind to my mom and pays special attention to her needs and wants. She seems very content and that makes this transition so much easier to bear. She always seems to be in a good mood and speaks highly of everyone caring for her.

Paramount Senior Living is a perfect fit for my Father. My Father was raised in the area, so there are many residents that he already knows. Aside from that, with the very nice facilities and super caring staff it's as though I've sent Dad home.

After learning that my sister's assisted living was closing and I only had 30 days to find a place for her to live - I was pleasantly excited to find Paramount Senior Living. I had already looked into this place about 6 months ago. I was met with great enthusiasm. The staff was extremely helpful in getting my sister moved in and she seems to have adjusted nicely to the Memory Care Unit. The entire staff has been able to welcome her and being sure she has what she needs. The staff has communicated needs to the family and that is so appreciated. The activities for the residents have been fun to hear about and there is a variety of activities for the residents. I'm so glad I was able to find Paramount Senior Living at Cabell Midland.

In September my husband needed special care that Paramount was able to provide. Checking him in was done quickly and everyone was helpful with the transition that can be difficult. They provided the workers, care, meals, and activities that were needed to meet his needs. Could not have ask for better care.

I was looking for a facility for my loved one that had life and was full of happiness and I just did not find that here. The facility was clean and tidy and they offered a lot, but it felt too clinical. The person showing me around was not enthusiastic and just did not seem engaged. There was no one doing anything, everyone looked like zombies. It was just not at all the atmosphere we were looking for.
The nurses are wonderful. They answer all my questions. But they're very short staffed with the aides. Some of the aides are good, some are not, and they go through a lot of them. With the food, I would like to see them give the residents more options, and it doesn't look very good. If my loved one is not feeling well and can't go down to the dining room, they bring her food an hour or two after everyone eats in the dining room, and it's cold. They do have a a fair bit of activities - things like Bingo, movie nights, parties, games every day, and the women get their nails done.

I would not recommend Paramount Senior Living to others for their loved ones. I was out of town and a family member took my loved one to the doctor. The doctor called an order to have my loved one taken to the hospital due to swollen feet. The community didn't call me until 7 pm to see if I wanted my loved one taken to the hospital, after receiving the order around 2:30 that afternoon. After this I started to pay closer attention to the care my loved one was receiving. Since I am the POA, I requested the medical records of my loved one and the community charged me over $100 for the records. Due to my distrust of the community I moved my loved one out of the community.

In the beginning our experience was very good, but towards the end they just seemed to be short handed. When our loved one passed we went to go grab her belongings and there was an entire box of things that belonged to another residents. Also, we had another residents hearing aids, and when we went to ask where our loved ones went they did not seem to have any idea, or any concern to find them. They also did not seem in a rush to get the hearing aids back to their owner.
They're really easy to work with, very friendly, and very helpful. I like the place. Every time I go in my loved one's room, it's clean, and all the spaces I've seen have been nice and clean as well. They've made an effort to keep up activities safely during the pandemic. Lately they've done bingo and held an Olympics. They seem to have something for them every day, which is nice. They've started having church services again on Sundays, outside in the pavilion area, and I know they had dancers perform outside recently. There's a front porch with rocking chairs, and a little gazebo outdoor stage sort of area. I've been very pleased. I would recommend them to others.

Don't go to this community. The food was not good quality and we did discuss it with the community and nothing was done. I ask to meet with the dietitian and I was never allowed to. There are no activities for people that are stuck in their rooms and can't go out to participate. There is no call bell in my loved one's room if there is an emergency.

We have always heard the food is really good, and we do think the activities are okay. However they could really use improvement on their communication, they call us on small things they should be well equipped to handle and do not call us when important things with our loved one arises. They also allow people on the do not call list to contact our loved one.

We chose Paramount Senior living mainly for the location. The room sizes seemed adequate, My mother had a studio and it was perfect size for her. She did not complain about the food, she thought it was good. My favorite part about the community wold be the staff members, they were really good with my mother. I would recommend this community.
