I could write pages about the positive qualities of Oakmont Cardinal Point. The competent, caring, thoughtful - and friendly fun - staff have been well documented, as has the location on the estuary, architecture, and decor of our building. Having varying levels of exercise classes is a much appreciated positive for me. I also like the other many and varied activities available. The best part is that I can maintain my own autonomy: either join a group or enjoy my own space. Of course, transitioning into a senior facility means letting go of some of our lifestyle; to my surprise, I realize that I have gained so much more than I lost. The acclimation process can be a challenge, but OK if managed with humor, interest in others - and patience. An example would be learning the protocols of our dining process. Very good food, by the way. Here at Cardinal Point, I am happy, safe, content, and have a strong sense of being well cared for.... Read more

My wife and i moved into a great apartment at Cardinal Point 12 years ago. Regrettably my wife passed away a year ago and I live alone so I depend upon all of the services of this facility. The food is very high quality and varied and well prepared and the care is friendly and professional to keep residents safe, secure, and well entertained.

My husband and I toured Oakmont as part of our search for our eventual landing spot for retirement living with a care component. We had an overall positive view of the property and community spaces and personal living areas. We were matched with a resident and shared lunch with him. That was a totally delightful experience! The menu was more exciting than I might have expected for lunch; the food was prepared on a par with nice restaurants and the presentation was equally attractive. I had a composed salad and salmon and both were done to perfection.

We chose Oakmont because of the proximity to our former home that we lived in for over 50 years. It is a community that we knew and we knew people who have lived here as well. We are in the largest apartment they have which is 2 bedrooms 2 bath, it is great size. They do have other options on room sizes as well. The staff are still very attentive and they address your questions and needs. I would recommend to others looking as long as you can afford it.

I am so impressed by the competent and caring staff at Cardinal Point. My mother-in-law has lived there for 2 1/2 years and said, "I wish I had moved here 10 years ago!" She was in a nursing home briefly a few months ago and couldn't wait to get home to Cardinal Point. Ramon the social director deserves special praise (and maybe a raise) for his dedication and sensitivity to the residents' needs.

I have been a resident of this community approximately one and one half months. I had researched several facilities in my area and decided this one, Cardinal Point, was the one I most wanted to join. I am very happy here and plan to live here for the rest of my life.

It's very clean, and the staff is really friendly. They are quick to respond to questions and concerns. The food is excellent. We chose them for a combination of reasons, we liked the look and feel of the whole place, the quality of the food was good, and we liked the people. It was also in a good location for us. It is a lot of money, but there is a waiting list and it can be hard to get in.
