I love Oakmont - it's a beautiful place, and the surroundings are beautiful. It feels like a whole other world with beautiful trees, and there's a lake across the street . The staff is wonderful. They're beyond friendly. There are plenty of activities, with movies every night. The food is good. My friend is doing absolutely wonderful there. If I had to go and could afford it, I would go there myself. It's just a really special and unique place, especially compared to another place I've experienced.

They gave a good tour, showed me everything, and answered all of my questions. But I thought it seemed just okay. It didn't seem as friendly as other places we viewed. The layout of facility was more closed off, and it felt sterile like a hotel.
We absolutely love Oakmont, everything that has come from this community has just been fantastic. The staff are so understanding when it comes to our loved one and her issues. At times she can be very difficult and they have so much patience with her. They are just so kind to her and the other residents. It is hard for her to love things and she now has been in assisted living and memory care and she loves them both. Every worker that goes by from the management team to house keeping and maintenance, they are always smiling, interacting with the residents and striking up conversations. We cannot image a better place, we have no complaints. The food has been great, the place is always clean. It is such a social life. Once a week they get to take the residents out to different restaurants and different sightseeing.

I loved the tour at Oakmont of Brookside. I was very pleased with them, as was the case with the other facilities I toured as well. Our final decision came down to location. We chose closest proximity to a family member.
Very nice amenities! Loved this place! They have memory care available in the event of needing that level of care.

We chose Oakmont of Brookside mainly because of the proximity to family as well as it was very clean when we toured and everyone was friendly. The room sizes at the facility are large and spacious. We were rushed in our circumstances, so I would tell others to take the time to understand what assisted living is. She moved from out of state so they helped with a lot of different things such as doctors recommendations. I would recommend them to other families looking.

The care givers are friendly, diligent, but we have noticed there is a lack of coordination between management, and the care staff, and management with the families. A lot of the care happens when you are not around and with the restrictions its hard to see everything, but what we have seen our loved one is well cared for. They are always willing to help and assist her. Our loved one has a social life and loves engaging in the activities with her new friends. She is also getting her medication on a regular basis and getting all her people.

The friendliness of the staff members go way above a five they are extremely friendly. The food the serve the residents here is very good, and they have been doing the best they can with the activities. The last few days they have started to loosen up and bring back more activities since covid has been more under control. It is a pricey but they do have a lot of to offer, and I am very happy here

this has been the best solution to an unfortunate situation. the staff all care very much for their residents. they keep them active thruout the day, not allowing them to stay in their rooms and be stagnant. their meals are preparred by an actual chef and are nourishing and delicious. we have been afforded visiting times on a patio even during the covid issue and staff is helpful throughout the visit. we have close contact with the personal manager for his health and medications status. A+++

They misled me to believe, after their professional assessment, that they had the levels of care to properly care for my mother. They do not. They are under staffed. My mother passed away two months after admission.

To Whom It May Concern, I am not one to write reviews but I think a few things need to be said to help those who are in a situation like mine. We moved Mom into Atria Bayside Landing after years of trying to navigate caregiving in home between hiring and helping with family. Once I walked through those doors, I never looked back. I toured 8 yes 8 senior living communities in Stockton and chose the best for Mom. The Executive Director [Name removed] , helped me through every step of the process from start to finish. She showed me around the community, completed agreement with me, answered all of my many many many questions and has responded to my emails within minutes at all hours of the night. Thank you. Next, the manintenance team, when we moved into the apartment they helped us set things up, the carpets were brand spanking new, as was the paint and furnishings and details. So clean. The caregivers especially [Name removed] and [Name removed] are so sweet and have taken to Mom. They help her with dignity and I could not ask for a better place.

I am very very happy with the care from the excellent staff who are the best. The community is very clean and we like that they do a good job of cleaning her room. They have a restaurant that has the best foom and the servers are friendly and keep updated on their meal need. They have great activities she loved being able to get out on the small trips away from the community. We would highly recommend everything about this community for the outstanding value and top care for other families

The kitchen and support staff has been nice and helpful. I have not been impressed with the administrative staff. They have been misleading, not forthright and giving me corporate jargon. We have run into some billing issues already and I have not had much luck correcting this. The food is ok. They did not clean my loved ones carpet before she moved in.

The staff are wonderful. They are supportive and encouraging. They are working with my aunt to help her improve and they show her respect. The entire staff are professional and quick to respond. The menu looks very good. They offer a lot of activities and outings. The community is clean and well maintained. I can tell the residents are the most important people to them and I would recommend this community.

The theme here is if a call button is pushed be there within 10 minutes. They have been prompt when needed and my mom's apartment has call buttons in every room of her apartment. The only issue is that the elevator is far from her and it gets hard at times. Since moving in, I have seem craft projects, exercising, Mojito happy hour; if okay in medical records, and performers. She loves her meals, breakfast is served all day and she likes that. There is variety and daily specials. I feel better knowing that she is safe with a staff member there through the nigh, she feels safe too. They have a safe and beautiful courtyard that has a great landscape and secure. Everyone is nice and helpful. I picked this because this is where I would want to go too. They are recommendable but it is expensive.

So far they're wonderful. She is very active at the community and participates often. We went to pick her up the other day and she was busy with yoga and aroma therapy. It doesn't look like the standard old folks home and that's why we like it. It very close to our home and we like that because if she needs something we can be right there. My mom said they offer an alternative menu if you don't like what they offer nut there is an additional charge. She loves the desserts and has gained weight since moving in. She's in a studio and it's actually pretty large.

they need to improve on their menu and give change on the lunch and dinner meals instead of the same food every week

Response from Oakmont of Brookside
January 26, 2017Thank you for reaching out. I'll be sure to share your feedback. I also welcome you to join our next monthly Food For Thought meeting where we discuss dining preferences and upcoming menus directly with our chef.
Atria Bayside Landing is a breath of fresh air when it comes to Senior Living! It is classy..serene, but most of all warm and welcoming! It is my personal experience that the staff is very dedicated & caring with the individuals entrusted into their care. They know each of the residents by name, and treat them as part of their own family! It is definitely a place that our family members are proud to call home!!!
