They were very welcoming and open to my loved one and my family . They go out of the way to work with the residents and accommodate their needs. Everything was as expected or very much higher than expected.
It was the best place that I have found after my search. My loved one is transitioning well, and I'm happy with the results. Some of the activities available are bingo, dance nights, game nights, and more for the residents to participate in.
People, workers are very helpful & nice. Food is great. Things to do are fun.
The Commons on Thornton is just a wonderful place. My brother came in needing a lot of care and is doing really well now and he loves it here. The staff members have gone above and beyond for him and for all of the residents that are here. They are all very caring and we are really happy with our choice. I would recommend them highly.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. We're grateful to hear that our professional and caring team members have made such an impact. Thank you for choosing The Commons. It's our pleasure to be of service to your family.
I think this is a nice facility, and the staff is friendly, and the community is very clean. I would recommend this community to others. This community was recommended to me by a friend of mine
A place to call home. I truly love living at The Commons, since our first tour, when I experienced a sense of comfort and warmth from the staff and residents, it felt like home! We have been here almost 3 years and love how staff are so attentive and residents are so friendly and of course, because of the virus, we understand that restrictions must be put in place for our safety and well being. I just want to say thank you for all you do for us. We appreciate it!
My son and daughter found The Commons on Thorton to be the best in Stockton.
All the services provided by the Commons have been excellent. I have faced the people who work here to be friendly, kind, and thoughtful. Everyone has gone out of their way to ask if I am comfortable, and they really seem to care that my needs and even interests are met. I am happy to be here and blessed.
All my needs are taken care of. During the coronavirus thing, I feel you are doing all you can to protect me.
Care is excellent. Caregivers are cheerful and enjoy the residents. They do an excellent job with each individual resident. It is remarkable that the kitchen is able to supply us with adequate and tasty food in our individual apartments during this period of the virus. I congratulate the chef and servers.
I have lived at the Commons for over 3 years and I enjoy living here as we can do exercise, walk, and any other activity to stay active and fit. Happy hour every Friday is my favorite activity. I like the food here and better yet I do not have to wash any dishes. The staff is very helpful, if you need help.
I am happy here and enjoy the friends that I have met. I enjoy the staff here and we seem to get along very well. I could not have found a better place to enjoy life here.
The "Commons" offers everything a resident needs (except a pool). If you need outside services they will arrange to accommodate you. The entire staff is very efficient and friendly. During the "pandemic" they have kept us very safe and free of infection. I would recommend the Commons to anyone in need of their services.
My daughter toured (3 daughters) toured this community. Also my brother, they also thought it was great and was as close to home as you could get. They also looked at others and not one could compare. I have met new friends that I haven't had a chance to meet before I came here. All I can say is, thank you and love my family.
I think it is a great place to go. it is a small facility so I feel they can manage more. Thornton Commons does very well helping out and working with the hospice team. My father passed there and my mother still lives there. My mother is happy there . The staff are pleasant to her. I would recommend this community to other families.
Would have been my choice if we hadn't found Alcor. It was smaller than Emeritus. I liked the people there very much and the residents seemed happy.
We went there before I put mother into another community. There were two women working there. One said one thing, the other said something different. I paid the money and they assured me that they would take mother. Then when the time came, they told me nothing was available. I had to fight to get my deposit back. I would not recommend that place to someone my mothers age. maybe for a younger person. I don't think that my mother would have gotten the care that she needed. I think that she would have been on her own. Especially for what they charge.
I like this place and it would cost less than COaks plus 24-7 care givers. Clean, new, rich without being 'grand'. I saw the Renaisance (memory care) building.Garden courtyard, therapeutic animals, semi private means 2 rooms that share a roomy bathroom between them, with a roomy shower.Paige, the Recreational Therapist with a 4 yr degree in the field; did not meet Paige. 24 apartments, 2 of them coming available. I liked one #110, with courtyard on one side and tree, vacant lot, on other. The other, #120, is in a 'busy location' still with a tree out the window. Staff interaction for night wandering. Apt doors open, staff encourage resident to be involved. Maryanna, director/coordinator. I was not there for a meal. Dining room and menu appealing. Hydration program, fruit and treats. Current costs: $5225 Private, $4699 semi private + Level 1 $375, Level 2 $750, up to Level 4, 'almost hospice'
Since moving my parents into the Commons, the staff has gone above and beyond my expectations in the care they receive, the activities provided, the extra security, and the overall atmosphere. Each and every staff person has treated my parents with dignity and respect during what turned out to be a very difficult transition for both of them. If I had to choose again, I would definitely choose the Commons. My parents both needed extra care later after living there for a while. The cost is definitely worth the extra care they have provided. The security knowing my parents are being well cared for is priceless.
