The first review I did after my first time at ivy creek.
The last managers were awful. I got a phone call that my dad passed during the night bc the manager said he seen him the day prior. In fact he hadn’t seen my dad for days bc he was already dead.
They were no help as far as where the carts were so I could lose my dads belongings. He told me my dad would owe November rent bc they weren’t given 30 day notice that he was leaving (dying). He died around [date removed] They told me I could only put one bag of trash in their dumpster. I live 2.5 hours away. I asked for my dad’s military pic that was on the wall. O never received it or. My dad didn’t care for the last mngr
Hopefully they find a full time permanent couple to run ivy creek. My dad said that he knew 3-4 different managers in a year.
I spoke to [name removed] who was very kind and caring today.
I’m not sure why nobody stays as permanent managers

Our Family Experience.
The staff does not stay long enough to properly provide the correct care for the residents. Every time you turn around there are new Managers. Nothing is consistent. Again mangers and staff are not there long enough. My mom doesn't do an activities because she rather do an activity that she learns something!
The cost is reasonable. Personally I love it Ivy Creek. It is just the constant turn over that is a huge problem. I mean a real problem!!!!

overall pleased but definite room for improvement
Positive: it's a lovely facility decorated to feel like a hotel. The planned activities, from outside excursions to in-house entertainment, are well done. The staff were always friendly, helpful, and available. The cleaning and maintenance staff do a good job of maintaining the facility, including in-room cleaning if required. The facility transportation is friendly, reliable, and knowledgeable about the area. There is the option of having doctors do house calls for well check-ups, if a ride to a medical facility can't be arranged, but it almost always can be.
Negatives: staff turn-over is constant, including 4 changes of managers in one year and a revolving door on wait staff in the dining room and kitchen. The food has been questionable at times. Once, enchiladas were served to senior citizens, some of whom can't tolerate spicy or diary heavy food. In fact, healthier dietary options should be offered for those needing to mind their diets for health reasons. Sometimes they did not have enough wait staff to get food warm to the tables. At one point the chef resigned and there was not a replacement chef for a week or two. Of course all this happened as the country was still rebounding from Covid and food prices were fluctuating wildly, so I give some grace for that. But it is a concern worth noting. Hopefully this will be corrected in the near future. I should clarify that staff turn over is limited to managers and the kitchen and wait staff. The maintenance, cleaning, facility bus driver, and activities staff was constant.

This facility is beautiful and always clean. They have a movie theatre, activity room, and lots of places to lounge. The residents are awesome and make the facility feel like family. The managers are very understanding and will go out of their way to help!! [Name removed] and [Name removed] are great managers. Very professional and can laugh with at the same time!

This is a great place to go if you are looking for a safe community, lots of activities and good meals for Independent Living. However if you need a higher level of care it is not the place for that.

They have a lot of activities available but my loved one has not participated. We picked this community, because of the price and when we looked at it, it was realtively new, nice and clean. It seemed like a good fit. I would recommend to other families.

Impressive
Ivy Creek Gracious has a good reputation, and I've heard and seen positive things about it. There are many enjoyable things to do, beautiful scenery, and delicious food. Beautiful work lines line the walls of each corridor in this spotless facility. Outstanding management. For the benefit of the residents, they have gone above and beyond! We were actually looking for a space for dad when we visited, but the location ultimately leads us to [removed], nearer us. We were so impressed with the place.

I liked Ivy Creek a great deal. It was a very nice facility with a big, elegant dining room. It didn’t work for my loved ones primarily because they felt it was too big and glamorous. They prefer a more modest setting. But I liked it a lot.

I Would Choose Ivy Creek For Myself
This has been an incredible experience. My loved ones and the family are pleased with the experience at Ivy Creek. There was nothing that compared to being here. The management team has been wonderful to work with.
The food is delicious and great for my loved ones. Every day there is something different served for the residents. The community is so nice when they see the family and make sure they say hi to me. The staff is very genuine.
Some of the activities available include bingo, shopping sign ups, movies, celebrations, holiday decorations, and more for the residents to choose from. The community even has transportation for field trips.
I'm so thankful we found Ivy Creek.

A good place to live
My loved one likes to socialize a lot with the residents in the lounge and has participated in bingo also. I do feel that the main manager couple that lives in the community are wonderful and receptive and very open if you need to speak with them about anything. They create a really friendly and open environment.

We had a great tour with Ivy Creek. The gal who showed us around was just lovely, but the apartments here did not have kitchens and my mother in law still likes to cook.

It is a like family environment
The staff members are just 10 stars, right away they stood out to us. The are so friendly and know everybody by name, and on our tour they were not afraid to ask the residents right in front of us how they like Ivy Creek and how they like the food. All the residents said it is a family environment. The meals and dining service is fabulous and they have really great activities. We are totally happy with Icy Creek and out of all the community this had the best value for everything they offered.

Very Blessed to have found this place.
In the middle of May I brought my Aunt {81) from Florida so that she could be near family. I have to admit the month to month lease was peace of mind since she was moving here site unseen. Well here she is 4 months in and not 1 complaint. The food is good and plenty . Her Apartment is cute and she says the size is perfect. There are different Activities to choose from and plenty of trips out to stores and excursions. I think She loves the scenic rides with [name removed] the best. She enjoys her sweets so the 24 hr soft serve ice cream machine is a big hit. The staff at Ivy Creek are so nice and helpful. [name removed] & [name removed] the managers are fabulous! [name removed] from maintenance is always pleasant and ready to help even when its her fault for pushing the wrong buttons on the AC. [name removed] always takes time to bring a smile to everyone. If you are looking for a 3 meal a day, beautiful home go visit Ivy Creek, we are happy we did. In fact my Aunt will tell you she should have done this move years ago.

Ivy Creek is a professional, caring, responsive facility.
I think they have a lot of opportunities if the resident takes advantage of them. They are certainly interested in the welfare of their residents, and they get to know them. The food is pretty good. In my estimation, they have been great. My loved one has been there several months now, and my only question is how long she'll be able to stay with her health situation, but that will be my decision when the time comes. I have experienced no pressure from Ivy Creek by any means.

We chose Ivy Creek because of the convenient location of the facility, it is one of the few places that takes younger residents, and also you did not have to buy in, it is just monthly rent. They provide a bus transportation for residents to take them places. He is in a studio apartment and for him it is fine for his needs. They are a pet friendly facility and they do not charge any extra fees. The facility is geared towards independent living, but they have care services you can add on if needed. They have 2 sets of residents managers which is nice so someone is there 24/7. Overall, I would recommend to others looking.

It felt like dropping her off at college, and Mom is thriving.
I think they helped my mom transition well. They supported her with making friends. The community looks out for my mom, but doesn't hover, which is nice.
The staff are easy to get ahold of, and they are quick to resolve issues if any arise. The maintenance team is on top of it.
