There has been a lot of turnover in staff this year including the director. \nHousekeeping is adequate. I would prefer more deep cleaning and detailed cleaning, but it's ok. Laundry service has been great and mom really likes the person who does her laundry and the one who does her cleaning so that's important. \nCommunication is hit or miss. I get information on upcoming events, but reaching a nurse or maintenance person has been challenging. \nFood is high quality and a good variety!\nThe heating/cooling system needs replaced! The thermostat in the room doesn't control the heat. It gets extremely hot in mom's apartment and I had another resident tell me she has to keep her door open because it's too hot. Air conditioner is wall unit. Last summer it didn't always work. \nOverall, mom is content and I know she's safe. She doesn't require much help so it's been good enough for her. Staff is friendly, caring and earnest. The kinks in a management reorg last summer/fall have been mostly ironed out, but communication is not yet as smooth as when she moved in. Food is totally amazing. Location is great, especially being across the street from a CVS Pharmacy for urgent meds and OTC stuff. Grounds are lovely with mature landscaping and beautiful courtyards.
