The care is MUCH better than it was when we got there initially, when they were still in a transition period with different staff members and aides (like a lot of facilities were at the time). Now that they have a more established set of aides, things are much better, and Mom is doing much better. They offer plenty of activities. It's located in a lovely area. The facility is very clean. They just upgraded all of their décor, flooring, furniture, etc. I like that they have nice music on in the lobby during the day. The nurses are wonderful and approachable. They are responsive to me when I have questions or concerns. They are very accommodating, they get things done, and they provide great care. I like the fact that we can maintain our private physician, and that the interaction between them and the nursing staff at Independence Manor is going very well. My mom wasn't easy initially with her dementia symptoms and went through an initial adjustment period. But there is a concerted level of cooperation between everyone who works there, and they all worked together to help her get settled. Now that mask mandates have expired, they allow staff and family in without masks, and it's really nice to see everybody's faces. I am very well pleased with our experience and would definitely recommend Independence Manor to other families.
