My mother fell or was dropped while living in memory care at Heartis Fayetteville. Nobody bothered to report the incident and it turned out that her knee was fractured in 2 places, requiring surgery. She is totally wheelchair bound now, completely ending her independence and mobility. I am so sorry I chose Heartis Fayetteville for my mother. I moved her out of there into a much better and safer memory care facility after hospitalization and 6 weeks of rehab.
You will have to get used to apartment living again. The walls are very thin, and you can hear everything that your neighbors are doing. The residents are very warm and welcoming. The size of the apartment is adequate for me. My biggest concerns is the food, as it is not what is advertised. The food and dining room service and hours is not what is advertised on the website. Food is only available 7-8 am and 5-6 pm and the website states that the kitchen is open from 7 am to 8 pm, but that is not what is happening. There are choices for meals such as chicken or fish, and I picked an entrée and then was served something that wasn't even offered to me. This is disappointing.
They gave us a really good tour, but personally I did not think it would be a good fit for my parents. The facility did not feel as homey and the staff and residents were not as friendly or welcoming as another place we were considering.
The day staff that take care of the residents have been great, very friendly, responsive, and just great at what they do. I do think we could maybe hear more feedback from the administrative staff. My dad is in the memory care facility and it is hard to get in. If they could have a code where family members could punch that in to get in, I think that would be much better than having a doorbell and having to wait for someone to let you in. Overall I would definitely recommend them to others looking, the upper management just needs to be more engaged with the families.
Right now our loved one is not the biggest fan and she feels like it is more of a nursing home rather then independent living.
Of all the places I toured, I really liked Heartis Fayetteville. I'm leaning towards them once the time comes, when my loved one needs that higher level of care. I appreciate that they’ve stayed in touch with me and given me a lot of advice.
I thought this looked like a good community. The people were friendly and took time out of their day to carry me around on a computer and show me what was going on. It was just too far away from our desired location.
[name removed] gave us a great tour and answered all our questions. The community was light and nicely set with plenty of green space around it. The apartments did have partial carpet, which we aren't huge fans of, but that is minor. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
I chose Heartis Fayetville because it was clean and neat and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. They also allow pets so I was able to bring my dog with me. They always have things going on all day everyday activities wise. It is a wonderful place and everyone is very friendly. I would highly recommend.
Moved my mother here (assisted living) about a month ago. So far, it’s been a pleasant experience, mom is adjusting wonderfully! The staff is very friendly and responsive. [name removed], has gone above and beyond, to assist my family and I. We are extremely grateful for her assistance and patience. Would highly recommend Heartis!
This community is beautiful outside but what happens inside is a different story. The have COVID and are not being truthful. Residents and staff are positive this entire month. The management staff is not helpful and do not care about residents. My parents are leaving due to this situation. The food is Horrible. People are dissatisfied and they are not making any efforts to improve the situation. They are not cleaning the community like they should and are being rude to those with COVID.

My mother lives in the Assistant Living part of Heartis Fayetteville and loves it very much. The staff is wonderful and friendly. All of her needs are taken care of and she has made several friends. The community offers a beautiful salon, movie room, activity room, dinning service, weekly cleaning and much more. MUST SEE COMMUNITY!!
My beautiful grandmother is a resident at Heartis of Fayetteville in the Assistant Living community. She lives the activities and the food is amazing. It gives me a piece of mind to know this wonderful staff is taking wonderful care of her. She loves the nurses and the rest of the staff. The building is beautiful and her room is very spacious. They offer 3 meals a day, weekly cleaning, activities, and a lot of socialization. This community is a must see!

December 17, 2020Thank you very much! Heartis is so thrilled your mother is able to socialize with our other residents and enjoys the activities.
I have lived at Heartis of Fayettevilfe for 2 years now in the independent living building and have had a wonderful experience. We play games everyday, dance, celebrate different holidays, watch movies, and have many activities. The staff is very friendly and will help anytime. Our new Chef seriously knows how to cook. We have 2 meals a day but three are available. Most of the independent residents go out to lunch together or just eat in our room. My room is beautiful with all kitchen appliances. Walk in shower, spacious rooms and walk in closet. Come join the community!
My father and I toured the Independent part ofthis beautiful community and fell in love. The sales team was very knowledgeable and kind. The community is extremely clean. The rooms are spacious with full kitchens, walk in closets, walk in showers, beautiful apartment. They have a Movie Theater, work out room, Bistro, game room, walking paths, and a swimming pool for independent residents. This is a must see community.
This is a great place to come. Everyone here is always friendly, this includes the staff and residents. The food is good here. The breakfast is being served in our rooms. The dinner is in the dining room, but they have us spread out.
My review is long, but worth the read if you are considering putting your loved one in Memory Care.... I left my original, 5-star review for Heartis over a year ago when things were going well there. I fully trusted *most* of the staff to look over my grandmother, who resided in Building A (memory care). I felt compelled to edit my review on [date removed] of this year because my feelings had changed (based on events that had taken place around that time). In that second review, I stated: “Things change. I cannot, in good faith, give this place the glowing review I once did because circumstances are different now. A couple of the nurses who I trusted the most are gone now, and to be honest, I am no longer 100% confident with the level of care my loved one receives here. I will change my review if and when things change again for the better.” I truly hoped things would get better, but I would be remiss if I did not admit that I was looking into other memory care facilities and even considering bringing her home. In hindsight, I wish I had. Just short of two months after I edited my original review, my grandmother suddenly died. On Mother’s Day, my kids and I went to Heartis to visit her. We brought gifts to celebrate the occasion, and we chatted with her through the window (no visitors were allowed due to Covid). Everything seemed fine. She looked fine, and I had no reason to believe that anything was wrong. That was around 2 pm on Mother’s Day. Six hours later, I received a call from a nurse at Heartis saying my grandmother had to be rushed to the hospital. Her breathing had become “labored,” so I was told. Just a few short hours later, my grandmother was gone. I will never know what truly happened in those six hours between when I left Heartis and when I received the phone call about her being taken to the hospital. I have debated about whether or not I wanted to edit my review again, and for months I didn’t, but I cannot NOT be honest with anyone who is considering Heartis for their loved one. The staff in Building B...phenomenal. Over the last couple years, I developed a great relationship with [names removed] and some of the other staff in that building. I can’t say enough about how they welcomed my family with open arms. They listened to my concerns whenever I had them, and I know they truly loved my grandmother. However, I cannot extend those same praises to all of the staff. If you are considering putting your loved one in memory care, I would strongly advise against it. I cannot speak on the Independent Living and Assisted Living facilities. Things may be different in those buildings. But memory care...run. Most of the nurses and even the health services director, in MY experience, left much to be desired when it came to providing adequate care, empathy, and compassion. I don’t like leaving bad reviews, and I had at one point decided that I wasn’t going to leave this review. But I would feel terrible about not speaking up and possibly allowing the same negligence to happen to another family. I am still mourning the sudden loss of my grandmother—my best friend—but writing this review has helped to relieve some of the anxiety and sadness that I have experienced over her loss. My review is not meant to be impertinent but rather to give a hands-on testimony of my personal experience with this facility. I hope it helps someone.
Every staff member knows who you are and who you are there to visit. We could not feel better about the safety and care for our mother. I have recommended Heartis to everyone. I visit my mother 3-4 times a week and I have never encountered a stranger. We are so happy with her care at Heartis.
