I think Grandview of Westover Hills is the right place for me because it works for me. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. I really like the fact that I can bring my own things. I'm very surprised at how much I like that - just having my own furniture and things. My apartment comes with a kitchenette, a microwave, and no stove; but it does have a full sized fridge and sink which is wheelchair accessible. I have a huge big window with lots of natural light and a courtyard to look out over. It's not very spacious, but my hospital bed and wheelchair fit nicely in the room. I have a dressing area and a bathroom too. For me, its quite comfortable. I would tell others about my positive experience, and it may or may not be right for you. I would tell others to come, check it out, and see for themselves.... Read more

Grandview of Westover Hills seemed like a nice facility, but I was feeling pressured by the sales director. I did not get the best vibe and just knew this was not going to be the best fit for my loved one.
Such amazing staff and also amazing residents , clean facility , and the activitys are always fun??
We thought the facility at Grandview of Westover was very nice looking. The staff was helpful. But their virtual tour wasn’t as personalized - it was just pre-recorded videos instead of an actual person walking us around. We also had a unique situation with multiple pets that was hard to find an accommodation for.
Our family had an in person tour and we liked the tour, the lady on the marketing team was wonderful even before the tour. She gave us insight over the phone to help calm us, and take away any stress. She was very helpful and very supportive. However, we just did not see a lot of staff out and about which was a little concerning.
The one bedroom apartments are very nice. This community is set up more for independent living than assisted living. My loved one didn't care for the food offered, and they didn't do a good job at handling dietary restrictions.
Our families experience has been excellent so far - we would give it 10 stars our of 5. We really like the fact that they are pet friendly so our loved one was able to bring her cat. Most of the staff members are very friendly, the cleanliness is good but sometimes our loved one wets herself so we do wish they would do a rinse off more often but we do understand they get busy and have to take turns. Our loved one is gaining weight so we assume the meals are very good there, she is doing 100% better at Grandview.
We chose Grandview of Westover Hills because of the friendly staff members as well as the overall feel of the facility. It was very nice and clean and looked like something we would be happy with and we definitely were. They were good at keeping in touch with the family and I would recommend to others looking.
Before the pandemic I visited my mom often. I never saw activities with the residents. The staff are good people and the food is good. The staff is friendly and kind. Very isolated! No interactions with the residents. I would rate it as 3 ?? s.
The virtual tour of Grandview was beautiful, a really nice facility. Watched the video from my computer, no interaction during my viewing. However, distance was the problem. Needed something closer to Wurzbach/IH10 area.
We were very impressed and no pressure feels more homey
The community was very clean and in the process of renovation. Services were pretty much all inclusive rather than e trap fees for every little thing. I’m definitely going to try to get Mom in there. The only problem might be that Mom is currently on both long and short term insulin which the facility & home health can’t handle. I have to see if we can get it down to one shot plus oral meds.
Lakeside is a great place. The food is good and the utensils are spotless. The workers are phenomenal. Always respectful, courteous and kind. Activities galore. Never dull. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Mom has been very happy and pleased with her choice.
Very nice facility but it is not all inclusive and that makes it harder to plan when you are private pay.
Lakeside has provided an excellent place for my grandmother. The staff has always been helpful and they are kind and attentive to her needs. They have a schedule of daily activities that keeps her engaged. The facility is clean and spacious and elegantly appointed. I couldn’t be happier with how this has worked out for her.
It was very clean and inviting. I liked the rooms and [name removed] was very friendly so was the staff. I liked the courtyard. It is also close to family.
This is a great place for my mom. they make her feel like a part of the community. She has settled very well. I know that she does like the meals and likes know that more is available. The community is clean and I like knowing that she does like living here. They have daily activities that she does enjoy with the other residents. I would highly recommend the care and comfort of this community for the care of others
Response from Grandview of Westover Hills
June 14, 2017Thank you for the wonderful review and considering us a great place for your mother to stay! We are thrilled to learn that you and your mom found our building both clean and comfortable. We work hard to provide fun and engaging social activities for our guests so hearing that your mom enjoys it makes it all worth while. Kind Regards, Tanner Humm, SCC Corporate Communications Team
This is a nice place! The staff are really good with my parents. Our primary concern, however, is the fact that some of the staff are making empty promises to my parents, particularly in the fact that they constantly promise to make necessary renovations to their room, but they have not followed through.

June 6, 2017Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We highly value our patients and their family members feedback. While we are confident in the care and services we provide for our Dallas community, we always welcome opportunities for improvement. -SCC Corporate Communications Team
staff is friendly any problems or concerns I have had are addressed right away and a answer is always given, the place is always clean and my dad was leary about moving to assisted living but they have made him feel very welcome and I am thankful for that. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs a friendly environment for there loved ones
It seems that they are taking good care of my mother since her move to the Lakeside Assisted Living. The place is very clean and I liked the fact that there is more space than other communities that I toured. Also, I liked that it is much less expensive than other places.
