Your fine living includes well-appointed common areas, a spacious private apartment and chef-prepared, restaurant-style dining.

Should your needs change over time, and you require memory care, you have the assurance of knowing you can remain here, in your home, with familiar surroundings and close friendships that are so important to your happiness and well-being. You and your family will have peace of mind knowing that we always have trained staff on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Our community features its own library with aviary, private dining room, game area, fitness/rehab area, chapel, beauty/barber shop and two covered porches. Our spacious apartment homes offer multiple floor plans, spacious closets and large windows that let in abundant natural light. Some have kitchens. And you won't have to worry about housekeeping or home maintenance chores. Our staff takes care of all that for you, leaving you time to pursue your interests.

Our assisted living lifestyle provides all the independence you desire and a helping hand when you need it with such daily tasks as managing medications, bathing and dressing. If a resident ever should need a deeper level of assistance, it's an easy transition into our memory care program, which is deeply rooted in a person-centered approach focused on creating feelings of belonging and purpose for your loved one. With gentle guidance and visual reminders, we provide a secure, safe place that meets them where they are and allows them to flourish even with advanced expressions of the disease.

  • Not what I was promised

The William charges are not itemized and they vary from month to month. My experience is that I requested an itemized bill but was never received it. The care was adequate, they didn't talk too much to the residents and didn't engage them in conversation The food was good, the breakfast was served at the residents leisure whenever they woke up in the morning. The activities were very sparse and I noticed other residents would eat and go to sleep because nothing else was going on. I would not recommend this community.

  • Care is Lacking at The Cottages

Aventine Hill took ownership of this facility in December 2019, at which time it became The William. Prior to that it was a Brookdale property. So, please note, that any reviews prior to December 2019, are NOT referring to The William. We had a family member who was a resident in one of the Memory Care Cottages. When the facility was owned by Brookdale, the residents were well taken care of, staffing levels were appropriate, and management was attentive to the needs of the residents and their family members. Overall, we felt we were receiving a level of care commensurate to what we were paying. When ownership transitioned to Aventine Hill, and the facility became The William, the pricing increased, and that was accompanied by a steady decline in the level of care provided to the residents, staffing levels were severely reduced, and the new management was not attentive to the needs of residents and family members. Overall, our opinion was that the level of care in The Cottages was no longer commensurate to what we were paying. If you have a family member in need of Memory Care, who is relatively docile, and can sit in their room, or in front of the TV in the common area with little to no interaction with the staff, and doesn’t need too much assistance, you may find that the Memory Care Cottages at The William will effectively meet your needs. However, if your loved one is more advanced in their Alzheimer’s or dementia, and/or tends to exhibit some of the common behaviors associated with these conditions (e.g., anger, crying out, refusing to eat, refusing to take meds, confusion, etc.), and needs a greater level of care and attention, you may want to find a place where they have staff who are actually trained to deal with these behaviors and care for Alzheimer’s and dementia residents, and staff who will lovingly and caringly interact with your loved one. Because of the decline in care, the poor staffing levels and poorly trained staff, and the inattentiveness of management, we moved our loved one from The William, and we do NOT recommend the Memory Care Cottages at this facility.

  • Great tour. The two ladies were very thorough, friendly and informative. The facility is clean, quiet, and welcoming.
