Mom is thriving, exceeded all expectations, could not be happier
The staff are wonderful. All very warm and engaging. The meal service is great and very social, mom loves the food. It's in a really great area with a nice park & lake. Many people have dogs. The residents are all friends and there's always things to do. The building feels like a nice hotel more than a "old folks home".
All for $[removed]a month. It's a dream.
We feel very lucky and mom is so happy.
Highly recommend to anyone!!

Highly Recommended
All of the staff is wonderful - polite, kind and caring - from the top down. They claim no food complaints in years and I believe it. Residents are respected and treated as adults, complete with a weekly happy hour. The apartment was immaculate and move in ready - fresh paint and carpets and housekeeping meets that standard. We give Elison of Orchard Glen an overall excellent rating and highly recommend residency.

I picked this community because I was told they had excellent food and a lot of activities. Some of the food is not that good. Some food is very good. Activities are not their priorities.

A Place to Thrive
My mom is currently a resident at Elison of Orchard Glen and everything has been great for her at this facility. The move in process was smooth. We signed the contract and brought in a few items that day and moved in the following day. The facility smells good and is always clean. Mom has started slowly to participate and has actually improved her mobility. I have no complaints on the housekeeping. They just got a new housekeeper and mom commented on the nice job she did. She said it's amazing how the staff knows their names, especially the dining room staff. They seem to recognize her likes and dislikes. I have had a few lunches that were delicious. Mom enjoys the meals- although some may be better than others. They do have meetings between the chef and the residents to discuss the menus. Overall, I am seeing my mom thrive and have quality of life and I am happy that she made this decision. She is content. I highly recommend Elison of Orchard Glen to others!

Awesome Place for Mom
This is the best place that we have found. They are excellent, caring, friendly, and the community is clean. The communication with the staff has been awesome for the family, and they are responsive to our questions and concerns.
Weekly church services, bingo, happy hour, entertainment, theme parties and celebrations, games, and more are some of the activities for the residents to choose from.

Accommodating staff
Everything is going fine, the facility is beautiful and the staff are very nice and accommodating, especially [name removed]. This was one of two places that allowed smoking outside which was a must for us. My loved one is just not taking advantage of all that they have to offer and is having a hard time adjusting, especially to the meal times. It would be nice if they could pick their meals for the whole week.

A great opportunity for a life transition.
The management of the facility is very flexible and very friendly. They worked hard to make sure they understood our needs, and they were able to offer programs and ideas to address our specific situation. The apartments are awesome. They're modern, appear to be well maintained, are appropriately sized, and have good views out the windows. And they clearly put effort into freshening up the spaces when there is turnover in residents.

I thought that the facility was nicer overall than others we looked at, but the rooms were just so-so. The big downside for us is that they're located kind of far out - not close to Buffalo. And that played a big part in our decision.

A nice home away from home!
It has been really really nice so far, and they call us anytime there are any issues. The community is kept very clean and just overall very nice. Our loved one does say sometimes the food is really good and sometimes not so good. We also think they have great activities.

A Wonderful Place for Mom
My loved one is in her own apartment. My loved one loves this community and has lots of friends. She has had no complaints about the community. My family and I stayed with my loved one while she was moving in. It was really nice to see how nice the community was.
They are very good. If there are any issues, they take care of it right away.
I highly recommend the community.

They Have a Lot to Offer
Brookdale Orchard Glen has been a great experience so far. I love that they are close by and that they have a lot to offer. It's very clean. The apartments are very nice, the staff is very helpful, and the food is very good here. I would definitely recommend this community to others.

I am happy with the care from this community from the day that I walked in. The staff are caring and attentive. We like the clean atmpsphere. The menu seems to be appealing. We like that they try and help her with the many activiites. We would recommend this communiy for the care of a loved one.

A place to call home
I am happy with the care at this nice community. We have been very happy with the staff who are friendly and attentive. the community is clean and maintained. The menu is very good and a lot of healthy choices. Activities are offered for her to participate with the other residents. A great experience
My father lived at Orchard Glen for 3 years before he became ill. He moved to Orchard Glen after living in his home for over 40 years; we weren't certain how well he would transition to the Community, Once he arrived at Orchard Glenn, Dad loved it! He met many fine, fun and caring people who became fast friends. The staff was always pleasant, helpful, patient and available at a beck and call. (Which was both amazing and a big relief for my siblings and me, because we all lived out of state). His apartment (2 bed) was just the right size after transitioning from his single family home. The garage was very handy to have once the snow started to fall. Meals were delicious, and Dad looked forward to breakfast and dinner every day, not only because of the well prepared meals, but also because of the social opportunity.
