No place is perfect but we have been very happy with our experience Dancing River. It is pricey but it is worth it for the great care that she is getting. My mom seems happy here, it took her a while to participate in the activities but she is doing great now. She has made some friends, the lady at the hair salon has been wonderful and so helpful and she also loves the maintenance man, they are buds. I would definitely recommend them to others looking.... Our family had an in person tour and Dancing River is just a beautiful beautiful community, and you could tell it was very well ran. We really loved the way the rooms were set up and laid out, they have shared suites there but they are still somewhat separated. The overall tour experience and community itself was very impressive

May 19, 2022Thank you for your fantastic feedback! It is an honor to care for your loved one here at Dancing River. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you and your family.
Our family had an in person tour and just by the pictures online it was our second choice but once we saw it in person it was our first choice, but they just did not have the room availability we were needing for our loved one.

August 18, 2021Thank you so much for taking the time to write us a review. We're so glad you choose Dancing River for your loved one.
I've been very happy with them and very pleased. Everybody is very nice and easy to work with. I think they're taking good care of my loved one. He's more involved and active, and talking more than he was at home. We've had some physical, medical issues and they're always right on top of everything. They always call me with anything they think I need to know. So far it's going very well. And I've already recommended them to others. They've helped me as much as they're helping him.

The community does a great job with their covid restrictions. It is hard on our loved ones but we understand. I would recommend this community to others

March 4, 2021Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. It is always great for other families to hear an insider's perspective when they are making the decision of where their loved one should move to. It's a joy to have you and your family as a part of our Family. Thanks again for the great review. You are a GEM!
This review is based off of memory care because they do offer assisted living as well. We chose this facility because of the proximity to my work and home. The room sizes here are very good. Overall, we have had a good experience here and would absolutely recommend to others.
I recently moved my father to Dancing River. Both my in-laws had lived there very happily a few years ago. I was pleased to find many of the same wonderful staff members that had so compassionately cared for them. The entire staff has helped make this transition for my dad (and me) easy and fun. Due to COVID they arranged to have his furniture packed, moved and set up for him so when he walked in his apartment for the first time he saw his things set up like home! He loves the staff and the food, and we are grateful that he is in a community where the staff clearly has a passion for what they do.
Definitely have a camera in the room so that the family can see what's going on with that loved one when they are not there. The biggest problem was the food, it wasn't good, Breakfast was fine but lunch and dinner were the same meal. We chose this community because that had availability and I looked at others and this looked to be best of the ones I've seen. I would not recommend this community to other families.

LOVE LOVE LOVE DANCING RIVER. THEY WERE THE FIRST ONES THAT I CALLED, AS THEY ARE THE CLOSEST TO OUR HOUSE. MOM NEEDS MEMORY CARE. PRICE: $5,910 FOR PRIVATE STUDIO. COURTYARD IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL AND WOULD BE WELL ENJOYED SINCE MOM ALWAYS LIKES TO JUST SIT OUTSIDE. TALKED WITH [name removed]FOR A GOOD 30MINS, HAVE NOT ARRANGED A VIRTUAL TOUR - AS THEY ARE CURRENTLY FULL........
In the first week of my Mother moving into Dancing River, early in the morning around 7:00 am, she sat up in her bed (she requires assistance to get out of bed) and accidentally slipped to the floor. She pressed her alert pendant provided by Dancing River while she is bleeding from both arms and one leg from severe scraps she received. I received a call from Dancing River. I asked how long it took to respond to my Mom's aid. I was told they were not sure. She had significant scrapes on both arms and one leg as a result of the fall. Mom said it took a while for an attendant to arrive. I inquired with the Nurse and Director on the to the amount of time it took for the staff to respond to assist my mother. They advised it took 14 minutes to get to my Mother while she was laying on the floor in a puddle of blood. UNACCEPTABLE! The acting Director told me they hoped something like that wouldn't happen again. Really......He was not impressive when I met with him. I will say the Nurse [name removed] was great with my Mom, but she is only one person. We made arrangements to move my Mom to a different assisted living residence and moved my Mom out within the week. It took three weeks fyou,''Dancing River is for you! If you care about your family member, consider other options.
I really like this place. Small, simple, nice people. Bigger kitchen than most (important to Mom). Great courtyard in the center.
Dancing River Assisted Living was a nice and clean community. It was a little-tired looking and could use some updating so that it had better curb appeal. The staff members were friendly and professional. We chose another community that better suited our needs.
It was a very nice community when I had a tour. We liked this place a lot. This is where we would go if there is a change that is needed. They are a little bit more expensive. The person we met with was able to answer any questions we had and they were nice.
I realized after I went to the community, it gets overwhelming to tour many places. When searching for a good community, location became an important requirement. This community was 10 miles away and would not be convenient to visit through out the week. The tour was great.
I like the care here. The staff is outstanding and I like that they keep me informed on any changes on his progress. The variety on the menu if healthy meals are wonderful. I like that he is offered to get involved with the other residents in the activities that are offered. We would highly recommend this community to other families for the good care and value of this nice community for a loved one.
I was not impressed with my tour of this community. The appearance of the community was not good. They could do a better job with the cleanliness of the facility. At the moment they are transitioning with a new director, and I didn't feel comfortable with that. The room they showed me was small. I knew from my tour that this was not the community for my mother.
From my firs visit until mom moved in everyone was so nice! You can tell these employees like their job and this place. Food service to maintenance are helpful and kind. The place is clean and bright! Mom enjoys the courtyard with waterfalls and even a family of ducks! Rate this place 150 out of 100!!!
loved the facility -[Removed] was wonderful, staff was friendly and residents seemed happy! Great option for seniors.
Great place but may be a little large and impersonal for my mom
