This community was okay. My mom likes to walk and be outside a lot so the location is important when it comes to the community. The community also did not have the right feeling that I was looking for. It kind of felt like a nursing home. They gave us lots of information on the tours , it was a great tour but it was just not the right place for my loved one.

We did a virtual tour with Elmcroft so it was difficult at times to get a good feel. But I was able to talk to the staff and they were very nice. I was somewhat familiar with this facility as well since my grandfather was here.

I would recommend the community, you have to get things straightened out. This has taken awhile to get things worked out. They are using a lot of temporary staffing for caregivers, it would be nice to have regular fulltime employees available. Eclipse micromanages the staff at Elmcroft..
We were very happy with our experience at Elmcroft of Bedford. We were able to go inside and visit her which was big for us. The people here were all very kind and answered all of our questions and concerns that we had.
From what we could see of the activities they were really good and we thought the value was great. The staff members were very friendly, and attentive to all of our needs. They kept in great communication regarding our loved ones. We liked the rooms and the way they were set up.
The community takes too long to respond when my loved one needed help. Management communication was not good between the staff and us. I would not recommend this community to others.

The Elmcroft of Bedford is a community that will provide your loved one with great care during this time of COVID. They make sure the families, residents, and staff are safe. They offer different ways to communicate with your loved one. I highly recommend this community.
I would say not to go to Elmcroft. They don't have enough caregivers. My loved one needs more individualized assistance, and I would like for the staff to assist with other daily living activities.
We picked Elmcroft of Bedford at the time because of the location, it was close to me so I could visit her often. My mom is in a shared room and it is a little tight, but they do offer varieties on room sizes as well. She does say the food is bland and they do not have much of a variety to choose from. They also do offer a lot of activities for residents to participate in, especially before covid. I would tell others that if your loved one does not have high medical needs and can be more independent, it would be a good fit.
Elmcroft of Bedford is very clean, and we really like how everything is on one level. The rooms are very nice and beautifully decorated. It is laid out well. The people have been very nice and accommodating.
Elmcroft of Bedford looks clean when you walk in, however in our loved ones room the carpet was dirty and it was very dusty. Most of the staff members were friendly, except for one. We felt it was overpriced for the services we received. It was also very hard to get in touch with anyone within the community, they were always in meetings and we had to go through the receptionist. She wouldn't be able to answer some of our questions and she had an attitude. Our loved one had bad feed when we moved her in, and we made them well aware of that. When we came to visit her feet were in worse condition, it looked like they were not washed and she was in a lot of pain. The staff did not communicate any of that to us. We signed up with their podiatrist they told us about, but later found out our loved one had never seen the doctor. Some of the care givers and med-techs were rude to our loved one. They are supposed to be trained on how to handle dementia patients, sometimes she was a handful but they should not be rude. There was a huge misunderstanding on move out day, that caused some stressful issues. We also believe during this time the communication between the community and the families should involve a lot of patience and clarity.
Loved speaking with [name removed]. The facility virtual tour was very nice and looked very clean. I was introduced to multiple team members and a couple of residents all were very friendly. [Name removed] was attentive and addressed all of my questions.
Really liked Elmcroft as an option for my Mom.
My dad has been at Elmcroft Bedford since April 2018. The staff are wonderful and you can tell they really love what they do and care for all the residents like family. I have been to all the Family Night gathering they have and these are so much fun! Of course right now with covid 19 they are locked down no visitors. But still do window visits with dad and his peeps as I call them. :) When I could go inside before this I had to make sure I said hello to all the other residents on memory care side as well as dad. They all give me great big smiles. They love the DVD movies I brought for dad and I enjoy watching with them. Even amid this pandemic you can tell the level of care is amazing. I am thankful for everyone there and their dedication to each residents happiness and well being. I visit often and have gotten to know the staff and they are so wonderful! I feel truly blessed having them care for my dad.
My first impression was horrible. It started from the receptionist was very unattentive. The Sale Director was not aware of our appointment then made us wait another 20 mins. I would not send anyone there based on the service alone. This looked like a step up from a skilled nursing center.
A very nice facility. The staff seems to genuinely care about the residents and they make every effort to help the residents feel like this is their home. The residents were engaged in activities and the staff interacted frequently with them.
our loved one went down hill from the time he entered this facility. on numerous occasions we found him completely wet from being ignored and we were paying extra monthly for adult diapers and extra care. they are not professional; the director is extremely rude and unhelpful; they do not do what they say; the don't follow through on agreements. the facility is extremely depressing with yellowed walls and dim lights. i would not recommend this facility unless your loved one is able to completly care for themselves and doesn't care about atmosphere.
Good facility for my elderly Mother. The caregivers are friendly and courteous. The food is not great and food selections need improvement. Overall, my Mother has adjusted well and seems happy.
