Our family had an in person tour and on the tour the lady gave no indication that our loved one moving in would be a problem, but once we left we received a call saying our loved one wasn't going to be a good fit. We felt because of the way our loved one looked at the time, they were judging a book by its cover and did not give us the time of day.
They genuinely care about my loved one and the resident, they really want people to be happy at Christian Care Communities and Services. They have great communicate.
the community is wonderful and it's a safe place to be and my love just loves it. They have nice areas to walk and enjoy the outdoors. They have a lake also. Communication is good between the staff and our family and they keep us well informed. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.
Our loved one came from a place that gives 3 meals a day, our loved one only gets 2 here. I realize that covid is going on, but I feel like they are now charging residents to bring their breakfast to them. I think they could improve on communication. When I emailed the director, it took him 3 weeks to get back to me. Our loved one cannot hear or see well and to have to read the weekly newsletter they send out, it is really difficult to do. They do have activities but it is only on channel 67 and our loved one cannot see them. They are not providing activities that are 6 feet apart. Our loved one has yet to eat in the dining room, when it did open up, we were not aware because it was in fine print on the newsletter. The staff do seem friendly and it is a nice facility as far as where it is located. It is surrounded by trees and a lake. If your loved one wants a lot of communication and socialization, this is not the place.
Cummings Assisted Living provides a very welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for its residents and their visitors. All of the staff members we have worked with are very helpful and accommodating, from the director, to the marketing staff, to the caregivers, always greeting us with a smile. The facility is very clean and there appears to be an ample number of employees to keep everything running as it should. It is clear that the main emphasis is on the residents and their well-being. I would recommend this facility to anyone who wants their loved one to live in a warm, caring environment.
Our tour of Lakewood Village was very nice as well as informative. My mother really liked this place and is seriously considering a move. Both the residence and the staff We’re helpful and friendly.

June 7, 2018Thank you so much, we look forward to seeing you soon!
This is a good option with a wide range of care options -- Independent, Assisted, and Memory Care. This facility is very affordable. I like the fact that this facility is off the beaten path, and they have nice 'natural' areas surrounding the facility and there is a fully stocked lake where people can wall, enjoy scenery, and there are accommodations for outdoor events, if you wanted to have a picnic with your family. Rooms are spacious and accommodating, full kitchen for independent living options. They are in the midst of some remodeling which will make the assisted living more current. Residents seemed happy, engaged, and the staff are delightful with the residents.

We are happy with the care at this community. The staff are wonderful and caring to her needs. The menu is good but my mom says that they need some improvements. The community is clean with the nice environment that she does like. The community had a lot of activities and a lot to offer. We would recommend this community to other families for a good value and good care

[Removed] was extremely attentive and everything about this facility sounded like the type of place we'd have chosen if the location had been where we needed to be. We did not get to tour this facility.
We toured this community for care. I like the staff. I did not like that her room would be so far. The community is nice. They only offer two meals. The rooms are nice and they have full kitchens. They offer activities and the community is very clean. We would recommend that other families tour this community for the care of a loved one
My mother liked Lakewood Assisted Living when she toured. She put a deposit down but immediately regretted it when she tried the food. The food was terrible, they gave her the meal on a styrofoam plate with plastic utensils. They said they were redoing the kitchen, but it was still a dealbreaker.
My loved ones apartment came with new carpet and new appliances. The apartment overlooks a large variety of flowers. The meals are fabulous. This is an older building, however they are working on it. They have started replacing the carpet in the hallways. They offer daily activities. The community is spotless. The staff have been wonderful and accommodating.
This community is spotless. They actively maintain the community and seem to keep it up. There are no odors in the areas I have visited. There is a lake nearby. The people I have met have been wonderful. I would recommend this community.
The Health Care Center seems understaffed and has a lot of turn over. The Social Worker who is supposed to advocate for the patients and the families is not helpful and is quite defensive if there are any concerns presented.
We needed a rehab facility for my mother after she had been in the hospital for a month for surgery. She was weak and unable to walk on her own. [removed] My family ended up being her nurses aide since the staff is entirely unresponsive to the calls for aide. We are ready to pull her out [removed]. The grounds are beautiful and may be fine for independent living, but avoid their health care center at all costs.

June 7, 2018Thank you for your comments, we have made some updates at Lakewood Village and would love for you to come tour and see them. Give us a call today at [removed].
We toured here when we were looking. It was a nice place, and the people were really friendly. The only thing that really had me bothered, they have a really steep ramp there, and we worried if that would be a little hazard for my loved one. We chose another location based one where she wanted to be.
My mother is very happy here. My overall rating of this property is 3 1/2 stars. I'm not going to rate any of the categories because I don't have enough experience with those areas. I can say that this is what my mother wanted and she is very happy here. I am glad that she is at a community she likes. The Lakewood Village Retirement Community is a good place. As I stated before, I would rate this community 3 1/2 stars.
Lakewood Village Retirement is a fantastic place! The staff have been so friendly and so helpful throughout the whole process. They were very willing to sit down with us for as long as it took, and explain everything until we were sure we had a handle on it all. They also welcomed us to come to the community at any time and just wander at our leisure speaking with the residents to see how they liked it. There really was no sales pressure at all, they were confident that we would see they were a great place, and they were right! Both the residents and the staff just seem happy and content here, I would highly recommend them to anyone!
My mom moved in 2012 to Lakewood Village Independent Living Apartment. She has enjoyed the friends she has made, various activities and the meals prepared. It is a beautiful area and well kept. It was an adjustment period but the family knowing someone is available for her with the push of a button gives great peace of mind. Very pleased.
Beginning with the first day we moved my parents in they felt completely at home. The apartment was set up as was requested. What minor things needed to be adjusted were handled promptly and with loving care. The food was yummy with a nice selection of choices. Neighbors introduced themselves and told us where they lived and to let them know if we needed anything. The staff were all friendly and helpful. They all knew my parents names and when I told them mine, the next time I saw them they called me by my name as well. Calendars of activities are posted in all the elevators and in each residence. After my folks had been there for a few months my dad had a medical emergency. The staff was very prompt, kind, and helpful in their response to the situation. I feel very pleased with the attention to details each staff member give to the residents. That is a huge comfort when you live out of state. Thank you Lakewood for providing a wonderful environment for Seniors. My parents love being there!
