Tour of Brookdale

We had a virtual tour with Brookdale and the people were nice, we just did not get the feel that this was going to be the best fit.

Our tour experience

Our family had an in person tour and the experience was horrible. Everything about it was bad, it was dark and grungy and smelly and the lady we met with said they had a lot of openings available because so many residents passed away from covid. We were very unimpressed.

My Review of Brookdale Tanglewood Oaks

The community building is very old and . There is no place to walk around outside and it is close to highways. The inside smells like an old building that is musty. There is low ceilings in the community.

other than home this is the best place for my loved one

The staff is very friendly and the community is very clean and neat. They also offer a good value compared to others in the area. The staff really get to know your loved ones and they spend extra time with them. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

Highly recommend

We chose Brookdale Tanglewood Oaks because of what they showed us on the tour, the director actually gave us a virtual tour and this one just seemed to be really nice and everyone was friendly and got along well. They do have a cook on site and they have a menu with choices and she enjoys the food. It is a very nice, laid back place, we have had no issues and I would recommend them.

Great team

Even though. I decided to go another route with my Mom's care. The team at Tanglewood oaks was outstanding in their professionalism. They explained in detail on how they would have provided the necessary care for my Mom. I wish the best of the facility and if you ever want to leave a loved one, this is a great community for them to be in.

Buyer beware

As was my concern, actual activities and facility routines are very different than presented while being wooed. Food quality is in a word, awful. I have made requests for routine maintenance service that have gone un touched. Did I mention that the food is awful??? We were originally told that staff would make food to order when requested... Hah!!No such service. Very disappointed and would not recommend at this point. We've only been there a few months, so something may change...….
