Everyone I have encountered was so nice and many have worked there for years which is a good sign. When it comes to the meals they generally pretty good but there have been a few disappointing meals. For the activities, our loved one has not taken advantage of all the activities offered, but there seem to be a nice variety. When it comes to the value it is the most expensive out of all the places we visited, but the quality of staff they attract and retain is worth it... Read more

Very dissatisfied with all. She is now living with me. Brookdale only wants money and doesn't care about residents. My sister's and myself had to bathe, request for her room to be cleaned, didn't follow through with toileting...she was found cleaning herself with toilet water. We also had to make sure she got a bath and had clean hair. They were paid to do this and didn't. Would not recommend.
Response from Brookdale Sandy Springs
May 12, 2023We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We are committed to providing the highest-quality service and care and we will share your feedback with our management team.
Generally everything at Brookdale Sandy Springs has been great, everything from the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff stood out to us right away. The reason we gave the meals 4 out 5 stars, is something the quality of the meals and selection can be a hit or miss, but overall it is good and we have no concerns. Based on our experience so far we would absolutely recommend Brookdale Sandy Springs to other families.

The accessibility of the staff is what really sticks out to me. You can go sign in and visit just about anytime. I call them and let them know when I am coming to get her for a doctor appointment and they have her ready to go. If we call they answer right away or call back in a timely manner. The staff are all extremely friendly as well. From the kitchen staff, maintenance staff to the directors and they have all been very friendly and responsible and knowledgeable. The activities director is very nice and on top of things. They also call me for feedback themselves so they can make improvements and I like that. Our experience here has been so positive and they have been extremely easy to work with. I would absolutely recommend Brookdale Sandy Springs.

I would give the community a good rating and recommendation to Brookdale Sandy Springs. I like the staff and they are helpful and friendly. They put the residents first. I only have one complaint, and that I still have to wear a mask as a vaccinated visitor. None of the residents are wearing masks. The food is good for my loved one. There are menus for my loved one to order off. Bingo, cards, movies, and more are some of the activities for the residents to choose from.

We are having a wonderful experience so far, our father who we never thought would be happy in this situation actually seems to be really happy. So far all the taff we have dealt with have been super friendly
Our tour at Brookdale Sandy Springs was fine. They made everything look good. It just was not the environment that I was looking for for my mother.
It's mediocre right now because of the pandemic. They're more or less on lock down, so it's hard to get a true feeling for what it's really like. There's not much going on as far as activities due to the pandemic. The staff are okay, but they're experiencing the typical labor shortages that are happening everywhere. The facility seems to be clean and organized though.

The community is very clean and they have a ton of activities for the residents. It was probably the nicest and friendliest place we had toured, we liked that it was close to our home and it really seemed like everybody there was very welcomed,

We did a tour with this community and it was very nice. The tour was good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They answered all of our questions and gave us lots of information to consider. The community was very nice and they were very accommodating to us. They also followed up with and made sure all our questions were answered.
I can't say enough of good things about Brookdale Sandy Springs. My first cousin, Hope really enjoys being there. She has actually blossomed and enjoys the activities and the interaction of the other residents.

I toured the community for my father, and needs. The tour went very well. Everyone was kind, and friendly to my family, and I. The community looked good from what I saw. The staff I met was helpful, and my questions were answered. The experience went well, but I did find another community that met our needs better.

My wife was at this community for care. The staff was nice. This was a new community when my wife moved in. The community is clean and they need a lot of improvements on the menu. We did not like that there was only a doctor once a month. My wife needed medication. They did not have a nurse to assist with my wife's needs. We did not feel that they were organized. We would not be able to recommend this community.

Very nice facility and friendly staff. Loved the bigger apartment but it was sold the next day. I loved the kitchen bar in the dining room for cooking demos! Friendly residents and overall a favorite of all we looked at.

I had recently taken a look at this community for my husband for future living arrangements. The staff where on time to our appointment and made sure to answer any questions we had for them in detail. I liked how clean the property was and the open floor plan they had for all of the residents. It was just not the right location in the end decision for us but I would recommend it to anyone interested.

My dad is doing well and enjoying himself at the community. He is making the most of it and participating in the exercises every day. We are happy that he is safe. They are better than the last place he was at. They are doing well and no one has issues with the doors being locked. That is the best thing for us.

The tour experience was fine. I got to meet really nice people here. The person who gave the tour was ready to show us and they were answering any questions we had. It looked like a nice place but they did not have what we were looking for.

My mother loves it here! She is super happy to be at this Brookdale. She was a bit anxious before moving in but she has not had a bad day since then. She has mentioned that she likes the food and that it is portioned well. We had a meal there on her first day and I thought it was very good as well. I highly recommend this community!

A Place for Mom has scored Brookdale Sandy Springs 9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
