Brookdale Niagara is more of a smaller community, the most they ever have is around 50 residents so it provided more of that one on one care. Our loved one also seems very happy with the meals and dining service.
We chose Brookdale because they had a great marketing girl. There is a lot of turnover of staff. The communication could use improvement, you have to call multiple times to get a call back and it is hard to get answers. They have been good about having zoom meeting since we cannot go inside of the facility. They do a great job with her care and they have a lot of activities provided. I have not been inside the facility due to covid, so my feedback is from my mother and talking to the staff members, My mother is very happy here and has made a lot of friends and I know she is safe.
They are trying their best with the activities, we do know they have bingo nights. We do think the value is fair and would recommend this community to others. However this is some disconnect which could be caused be the short staff, and we are not able to visit in the evenings because of the short staff.
When we were able to visit it was extremely clean, and we are very pleased with the staff members, When the weather is good we know they made every effort to get the residents out and about even during COVID. We have been very pleased with the care our loved one has been receiving.
The food is delicious. They happened to be having a buffet meal set up in the dining area when we walked in. We hadn’t made an appointment as we were just going and asking for a packet of info to pursue later for our mom. Well you would have thought we were the guests of honor. We were treated so kindly and graciously. My sister and I still cannot get over how sweet the managers, nursing staff, care givers and chef were. The atmosphere at Brookdale Niagara feels like a close family. We did find out that they are the only Enhanced Assisted Living in all of Niagara County. This is actually what my mom needs. She is already struggling with walking and at 92, I think it would be short sighted of us to not consider a longer term plan. I’m grateful we reconsidered our plan for Mom. At this point just rebuy Assisted Living would mean we would have to move our mom in a very short period of time. I can see now why everyone loves this place. We are starting the short process now to get mom on the list. One thing that stuck out to us is that we felt zero pressure from the saleswoman. Our experience stopping in at three other places was very different. We felt that they all really wanted to help us, guide us if that makes sense and wanted the best for our beloved mom. We both highly recommend Brookdale Niagara Enhanced Assisted Living. They are truly experienced professionals.
Our dear friends had their mom here several years ago. They recommended we stop in and speak with the admissions advisor. Brookdale Niagara is a beautiful little place. We were not sure if they could manage the care of our dad. We were able to set up a time for the nurse to go see dad at the rehab center. we got a fast response and now we are set for a move in next week. The entire family is grateful for the kind manner in which all this was managed. We all feel hopeful that dad will be well care for in this next stage of his life.
Director of services had a personal leave and unable to attend the meeting. The alternate guide was very kind however we needed more information from the director upon her return
Our father lived here for several years. Only thing to say is this, they are incredible with care. Dad was a tough cookie. They gave him so much love and kind care. We really can never thank them enough. They have us our dad back at the end of his life. The place is top notch. I encourage your family to come here and bring your loved ones. The care staff , chef, and management team are fantastic.
They made a difficult decision easy. Exceptional care and kindness. We are very happy with our loved one’s care. Thank you for doing what you do. Food is fantastic. Open and bright. Cost is comparable and seems like we truly picked the right place.
We were here when it was called Sterling House Niagara. It is now Brookdale Niagara Enhanced Assisted Living. WE are bringing another family member here hopefully this month. They have retained much of the same staff from when mom was here. They gave great care to mom and I feel confident that will continue with our Aunt. The admissions counselor is still here and has been a life saver for us. We are very grateful and glad to be in a place we feel so comfortable.
Quite a lovely place. Very responsive to mom and all her care needs. We chose carefully and feel grateful.
Very nice community. Small place, clean and cheerful. The staff seemed genuinely caring and accommodating. The Suites are nicely sized. We loved the patio suites. Wide open hallways with lots of light. Beautiful residence. We researched so many places but kept coming back here. We think Brookdale Niagara Enhanced is the winner. They’ve all be so kind and patient.
Incredible care at Brookdale Niagara Assisted/Enhanced Assisted Living . We looked at all our choices in Niagara County and there is no comparison. I found out while visiting that this community has the only Enhanced Assisted Living care in the county. They have 18 years tender care to so many families in the area. I feel so much safer knowing that my mom will not have to move out once her care needs change. I learned the differences between traditional assisted living and having an ENHANCED Assisted living license. Mom already has difficulty getting out of the chair unassisted and has incontinence she struggles with. These normal issues would be reasons she would have to leave a traditional assisted living. I am so glad I did my research and picked the best choice for my mom. Having the stand alone memory care next door is a blessing because now mom can focus on getting stronger and dad gets the specialized memory care he needs. They see each other every day but mom can get time away to start e.noting life again knowing dad has the best care imaginable. I cannot say than you enough for the kind care. Beautiful place, sense of peace now. Always pick the best for your parents. The cost was very reasonable as well and worth every penny.
I toured Brookdale Niagara while looking for a place for my loved one. The community itself is nice, and I liked that they provided meals and that my loved ones would have round the clock care. However, they are at different care levels, so they would not be able to stay together. This community would not have been a good fit for us.
The most comprehensive and kindly given care around. We researched carefully before bringing our father here. It has proven to be completely true. We are so grateful. The family can all catch our breath finally. Thank you for caring so tenderly for our dad. He loves it here and we all feel so welcomed. Great communication, meals, activities and a beautiful environment.
Exceptional care. This Enhanced Assisted Living Campus was our final choice for Dad. Our long term care insurance covered Dad's stay. We are more than pleased with everyone who cared for dad at Brookdale Niagara and would highly recommend to other families looking for a great facility. Gorgeous grounds with gardens and walking paths and courtyards, and the food was delicious.
I'am comfortable with my mothers move to this community. So far everything is working out pretty well. She is safe, and in good hands. The only thing I would say needs improvement, is the administration. I feel they are a bit disorganized. Other than that issue the care staff is good. They are kind, and helpful when needed. They do a good job with the cleanliness. My mother is pleased with the meals. The location of this community is convenient for us to travel too. Overall it is a community I would recommend.
This is the only place I will ever consider having my mom. Brookdale NIagara (was sterling house niagara when our Aunt [Removed] was here), They took great care of our Aunt and so far my Mom loves it here. Her suite is so nice with two large windows, a kitchette, walk in closet thats bigger than mine, and a huge walk in shower. I forgot that some of the rooms have larger living rooms as welll. Many of the staff have been there for years and it speaks to their commitment to the residents. We already know how kind that staff are to the people living there. The food is exceptional and we have all had a chance to eat lunch with mom. We feel like mom gets so much special attention. She seems happy, and safe, and important again. This is exactly what we hoped for. Thank you to APFM for pointing us in the direction years ago...
The Enhanced Assisted Living is why we came to Brookdale Niagara. Our Elder law Attorney and our geriatric care manager both independently mentioned this facility. We decided to visit and met with the admissions director. The staff was so friendly as we went through the community. It all felt right. The people living here seem glad to tell you what a nice place it is. We chose to come here about five minutes into the tour. Everything felt authentic and just a great place. Mom was on the short waiting list for a couple weeks and has been very happy living at Brookdale Niagara.
We stopped in unexpectedly. The staff were all so kind to us. The managers and care givers all introduced themselves as we toured. The residents all seemed happy and well cared for. The facility was spotless. I was kind of shocked at how clean and homey it was. It is small which we really loved. There are 45 suites. We saw a patio apartment, it had a kitchenette, nice sized living room, walk in closet, one bedroom and a lovely private patio. We have toured a total of ten places. Brookdale Niagara is by far the nicest community we have seen.
