Our proprietary Alzheimer’s and dementia care, called the Clare Bridge program, is deeply rooted in a person-centered approach, in which each resident is surrounded by others with the same cognitive abilities, thereby giving them the important feeling of fitting in. Clare Bridge focuses on sustaining feelings of belonging, purpose and safety while seeking to preserve a sense of self. More simply, we meet them where they are.
Our single-story community, located in a beautiful area in the quiet community of Haslett, Mich., just 20 minutes outside of Lansing, truly reflects a home-like environment with living and dining areas that encourage socialization, comfort and relaxation. Most importantly, it was built for safety. It’s protected by a 24-hour security system and enclosed walking areas so our residents can feel a sense of independence and freedom as they safely explore the outdoor courtyard, patio and the rest of their surroundings.
•Emergency response in each room
•WiFi access throughout
A full activity calendar provides many opportunities for your loved one to stay active and engaged. Residents enjoy ice cream socials, listening to music, playing cards, getting creative with arts & crafts, watching a movie and trying their hand at trivia, word searches and puzzles to strengthen their brain. They also take walks, exercise, sing, get manicures and go on outings.
Our apartments offer privacy and a quiet place for your loved one to retreat when he or she feels the need. You can choose the apartment that best suits your loved one’s needs from three floor plans, one of which is a companion suite. Filled with natural light from large windows, our apartments are a place for your loved one to be surrounded by the comfort of his or her own familiar furnishings, family photos and treasured keepsakes.
Because memory care residents typically do not eat large amounts of food at one time, we make sure residents have a sufficient calorie intake by serving three snacks in addition to three meals each day. We also offer various textured and finger foods, as some residents cannot use utensils, and provide support for those who need help eating.
