Lansing was an obvious choice for Red Cedar Lodge. It’s a terrific city, with a great campus, but a senior living community that is woefully under-served. We took a hard look at what was available to Lansing seniors and knew we could do better. Our pricing is comparable to many of the areas’...

Our family had an in person tour with The Ridge at Lansing and we found they did a good job on the tour experience but at the time there was not no room availability for our loved one

Response from The Ridge at Lansing
May 8, 2023Michelle, Thank you for your 5 star review. I am sorry to hear that your father was only with us for a short period of time. Our staff get attached to our residents very quickly. Please accept our condolences.
What stood out to us about this facility is they had all the services we were looking for and close proximity as well for family. Staff are always super friendly and helpful interacting with family members as well as dad. They have activities all day long and many residents participate. They had a mechanism for additional funded physical therapy which really helped my dad get back to independent mobility. Good housekeeping service that didn't complain even when my dad had a major accident in bathroom. In house maintenance that was helpful in hanging persons items in room. I would highly recommend this facility to others.

February 20, 2023Karen, thank you for your 5-star review. Robinwood Landing is honored that you chose us for your dad's new home. I'm glad you mentioned our partnership with therapy services as this is a service that many are not aware of or understand the importance of. Many of our residents benefit from some 1-1 therapy with a Physical or Occupational Therapist, especially as they are transitioning into our community. I will make sure to share your comments with the team. Thank you!
Our family had an in-person tour and we give the tour and the facility a 5-star experience, it was great but the price was just out of range for our family.

February 10, 2023Jillian, thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear that we were not the right fit for you. Please let us know if we can help you in any way. We are happy to provide any resources that may help you in your journey.
The are constantly washing carpets and upholstery, as well as touching up paint. The staff members know all the residents by name and greet them regardless of their current assignment. They communicate and assist each other as needed. The food is sometimes running and mixed together in unappealing way on plate. There is some activity going most all times of day including weekends. Weekly off site excursions are offered. I wince at cost, but it is lower than similar places I researched.

January 25, 2023Ellen, thank you for your review. Robinwood Landing takes pride in maintaining a community that is active, engaging, clean and safe for our residents, family members and team members. We will share your comments with our team and address your concerns with the food.
My loved one is recouping from injury, and has been slowly progressing. They are in a good place with the people there, in which they have provided everything which is very beneficial. The staff answers questions quickly, they are attentive, which make me feel very at ease, and rewarding. Overall, when compared to other places that I saw, Robinwood seemed to have more life to it, which was my first attraction.

Our family had an in person tour and it was a really nice experience but the community was just a little more larger then what we were wanting for our loved one. It is a lovely facility but just did not feel like home for our loved one.
First impression right away is it just looks like a community home and not your typical nursing home. It is a little pricey when you are paying for private room but we really like how the prices are all inclusive so at the end of the day the overall value is good. On the initial tour they seemed to have different activities going on, there is a hair stylist on site which is great. The staff really do cater to the residents needs and wishes.

We chose Robinwood Landing because it just works for my mom. It is bright and cheery, there is a lot of sun coming through and you get a positive vibe. This facility also focuses on memory care residents which is what we needed. They have been very good with communication, if I ever call with a question they answer right away or someone calls me back. The director publishes a monthly newsletters and often times even more so, they keep us very updated on what is going on. The staff are great and you can tell they love what they do. The price is also fixed so you know what you will be paying each month and we really appreciate that. We have been very pleased and would recommend.

My husband has been a resident at Robinwood Landing julio for over a year. He loves it there. The facility is spacious, cheerful and well maintained. The staff is wonderful. They go out of their way to get to know as much as they can about each resident - likes, dislikes, interests, past history, etc. - and this makes each resident feel special. Each resident has unique needs and they make every effort to meet those needs in a loving and compassionate manner. The talented activities staff provide a variety of imaginative and fun activities to keep residents busy and to create “new” memories everyday. I was fortunate that I was able to spend time everyday with my husband before the COVID restriction on visitors and I was able to observe this loving care first hand.

My Dad was at this facility for less than a year. He ended up with 14 staples in his head. No one knows what happened. They say no one saw anything and there are no cameras in the hallway. He could walk and feed himself prior to this. Now he cant stand or feed himself. For the safety of your family member do not put them in here.

A lovely home & friendly informative staff. Bright & cheerful. I liked the idea of a calmer area on the far side of the home. It would be nice to have some trees for shade in the outdoor areas.

I was drawn to this community because of how it was developed to allow for freedom for the residents to move about independently. The building itself allows for this freedom but is still a safe environment for them and they don't feel lost because there are no or very few dead end halls, it is mostly a large circle. The staff are extraordinary. I love hearing their interactions with my Mom and with other residents as they exhibit caring and compassion towards all. I do sometimes see that weekends are a little more difficult with staffing sometimes a little lighter than during the week days. I love the activities they do and wish my Mother would participate more with them.
