Really friendly and really low key. They have a very homey fill at this community instead of feeling like a big cruise ship. They have activities like exercise, walking and a book club. They have a quilting group and they do daily university lectures from college professors. They also have social get together in the court yard, happy hours and more.
Our family was able to have an in person tour, and we were able to see a lot of this community. Brookdale Cushing Park is a very nice and clean community and was one of our top choices.
Our loved one really seems to be enjoying the meals they are serving, and sometimes he will has special requests like salads or fresh fruits and they will bring it to him with no issues. The activities are opening back up, they have concerts on their property on Saturday's that families can come to. They serve, wine, soft drinks, water and snacks. We have not had any serious issues and even if we have a small issue it is fixed right away. During the lock down because of the location of the facility, it is right next to a very large park that has tons of benches, so we could call at any time any day and take our lvoed one out to the park which was huge,
We were only there for a short time. The quality was terrific. The grounds were well kept. The meals that were brought were what we had hoped for. We enjoyed our time while we were there. My only regret is we didn't into the community move sooner.
The community was willing to put restrictions on a senior community but won't take the responsibility to make some changes. With Covid, they have not adjusted or engaged the residence since covid started. The communication was not the best and they couldn't guarantee that some of the services were being done correctly or at all. we also had a lot of issues with billing and being overcharged for services.
Brookdale Cushing's staff, director, and assistant director have all contributed to making this residential community one of the safest and most pleasant retirement communities in the area. The weekly question and answer sessions with the directors give all residents and their families an opportunity to inquire about various temporary restrictions imposed recently to enhance the safety of all. The green space surrounding the buildings and cottages offer easy access to the outdoors, where, although isolated, we are aware of the many local people who are enjoying the park. The delivery of generous meals at dinner time easily covers most of my daily needs. I'm glad to have moved to Brookdale before the onset of the epidemic.
Brookdale is terrific! They have wonderful policies and procedures in place, even before the Covid-19 pandemic, the community was spotless. My parents love the staff. Everyone I run into as well is terrific; from the director to the staff working the dinning room. There is a range of times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, which not all communities offer. They always have a pleasant attitude. The care is excellent. In terms of the other services, like the food, they do a great job accommodating for my parents' needs. They have an activities director that provides a wide variety of activities available to them if they want. They also have smaller services available just in case, which is great. They have even done personal shopping for my parents to make sure they stayed safe during the pandemic. I like that they have smaller services available for those who only need a small amount of help, but don't yet need assisted living. We also really like that they have shuttle services available for the residents and they will take them off-community for activities. The rooms themselves are very big compared to other communities in the area equipped with full-sized kitchens. Brookdale Cushing Park is also in a great location, they are right by the park and that makes it easy for my parents to get out and enjoy nature. They are a hidden gem!
The community is very well kept up. The staff is great and they really get to know you. Their handling of the Covid-19 pandemic has been excellent. The executive director has had weekly Zoom calls with families, letting them know what exactly they are doing to protect the residents. They have been very transparent with all aspects of the situation. The care services are great. My dad has been very happy with his care especially compared to the last community he lived in. They have a variety of activities available to the residents. We have been very happy with the staff at Brookdale.
They are doing an amazing job during the Covid-19 pandemic. The staff is very helpful and I am glad my mother is so well taken care of. The care is also great. I do wish there was more engagement available to my mother, however during the Covid-19 pandemic, I understand why they are so careful with isolation. Although it is a lot of money, you get what you pay for and I also like being so close to her. They could however improve on the food.
The community looked very clean when I visited. The staff is all very friendly and informative. Any time I call, its not a problem and whenever I ask a question, they are quick to find an answer. They have also been very cooperative with my movers, which is great.
Incredible care of my mom. She is happy and loves to go out on the outings which she couldnt do at home. Staff is always friendly. Nurses are great. My mom finally feels she can live her best life with support.
I have to buy my own toilet paper. This is difficult because I no longer have a driver's license
I toured here and it was pretty good place but I felt overwhelmed. When meeting with them, they broke down all the different levels of care they provided and all of it seemed to be an additional cost (even just wheeling my Dad downstairs for food would’ve been extra). The building looked more run down as well. The person that took us on the tour was able to answer our questions and seemed to be helpful, though. After the tour, I would get really impersonal emails from the headquarters thanking me for taking the tour, but not from the actual person that gave us the tour. It just didn’t feel personal.
We toured Brookdale Cushing Park which was a very well-kept and clean community. The staff was friendly and answered all of the questions we had for them. We chose another community based on the way they priced out the cost, it seemed they wanted to nickel and dime everything.
This is a beautiful community. The people were friendly and helpful. They seemed to offer some nice amenities. This community was definitely an option, however they did not offer transportation on Sunday.
My parents are doing pretty well since their move to this community. It has been an adjusting process, but I know they are being cared for well. There is some room for improvement with the cleanliness of the room. I have to do most of the cleaning. The staff is friendly, but they refuse to interact with anybody, which is disappointing. There are few activities available. Dad says the meals are good. Overall I know my mother is receiving good care, and I would recommend this community.
I was able to take a tour of this community and found it to be wonderful. It was very beautiful and well kept all the time. The staff was great and answered all questions that we had. The location was the only reason we did not move forward.
I think they do a good job at Brookdale Cushing Park. My loved one is in their memory care unit, and from what I have seen the staff are all very attentive and the residents seem happy and well cared for. I don't have any complaints.
Went 8/17 and it was gorgeous. I love that it is on the bike trail so dad can walk with ease. They had almost everything we were looking for. It was almost an hour to get though. they have movies every night and a cocktail hour once a week. Garden, book and walking club. The villas were beautiful.
Seemed to be confusion about care so uncle did not get everything needed
