What we liked most about Bridgeway Pointe community is the caring staff members. We would 100% recommend this community to others.
We chose Bridgeway Pointe because they had availability when we needed it quickly, especially with trying to move her with COVID. We had also had mutual friends who had their mom was here and had a good experience, so it was highly recommended to us. The staff members here seem to care more about their residents than others places that we have been, they take great care of her and love my mom. I would highly recommend them and already have to some of my friends in the same situation.
Possibility but living style is more like a college apt than I'm used to.
The entire [removed] keeping, nurses, STNAS, admins, etc. go beyond their job descriptions to be aware of my dad's needs and habits and address them as needed. The atmosphere is friendly and homey.
My mother is a current resident. I cannot, in all good conscious, recommend bridgeway pointe. The floor she is on is isolated, few folks are around her. She has been there for several years and the walls have not been repainted and remain scuff covered as does her room. It often d takes several requests for routine maintenance to be completed in her room and it is up to us to "find" these items- like overhead lights out, blinds not working, sprinkler heads not covered, bathroom floors curling by a shower. Deep cleaning, as in scrubbing of shower, doors, etc, is completed by me and my sister once or twice a year. Catholic mass is not offered every Saturday or Sunday, maybe 2 or 3 times a month. the "resident rosary" on saturdays has long since disbanded yet it is still on the calendar. the stretch any exercise class depends on the instructor for the length and quality. For those who can no longer read, do to stroke or other brain trauma, there is no or VERY limited announcement of activities- I still make mom a character based calendar so she knows what is going on. There was a long stretch without any therapy animals for visiting-I did see one last week so maybe they are back. There are raised beds in the courtyard for the residents for planting- but if the residents don't plant it seems as if they remain empty. So why is mom still there-pricing and she has made some friends
I toured here over the Memorial weekend. Surprise vist. It looked okay and the people there are very nice. Again, only a one bedroom.
I am really pleased with the thoughtful kindness professionalism that Bridgeway Pointe has provided in helping my mom transition to her new home. [Name removed] and [Name removed] listen and always approachable. They have addressed every concern no matter how small. My mother is actively involved in the daily activities and really enjoys the menus and chatting with her new friends.
We have been living at Bridgeway Pointe for three months now and are completely happy with our choice. I visited eight or ten other possible facilities suggested by our counselor at A Place for Mom, but I fell in love with Bridgeway's welcoming atmosphere and flexibility in accommodating personal needs. The building is beautiful inside and out, the meals are varied and bountiful, and the dining room staff will go out of their way to make sure the meals are satisfying to you. There are many other pluses (especially the confidence of living in a non-profit under University Hospital's umbrella as well as the convenience and availability of Drake Hospital's therapeutic services) but the main attraction for me is what drew me here in the first place--everyone works to see that you are HAPPY here. Residents and staff alike look out for one another and respect each person's dignity. I guess the best way to describe it is to say Bridgeway feels like home.
Bridgeway made my Aunt a much happier person than she was. The staff and [Name removed] made her so happy and welcome. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Although it was a short time for [Name removed] there, I believe she was a happier person than I had seen for years.
Very pleasant and friendly atmosphere- attractive and comfortable rooms - great staff! Dining room very pleasant with large tables, good service and very nice and a cured menu, cooked well.
Bridgeway Pointe is wonderful. I really can't say enough good things about it. The administration and staff go above and beyond to make each resident really feel at home. What a comfort and blessing when I leave, after visiting my Aunt, knowing she is relaxed, happy, safe and cared for.
All of the staff go out of their way to take care of my mom so well. From activities, to medical care, to just making her laugh! Our whole family apprecaite them. I have seen some not so great places with my grandmother, so we are glad our mom picked bridgeway point!
I have only good things to say about Bridgeway Pointe. I like its small size, I liked the contentment and pride every one of them showed as I met and talked to them. The facility itself is beautiful, but most of all I liked the general approach the administration takes to individualizing care as much as possible. It is somewhat more expensive than I expected, so I am not sure we can afford it, but I will check this out after I have visited more facilities and have a real basis for comparison. A great beginning for my search.
The staff and admin always do a very good job of taking care of my loved ones. Over the past 10 years, we have had 5 different family members live at BWP. We have trusted their care of all our loved ones. Thanks!
All of the staff go out of their way to take care of my mom so well. From activities to medical care, to just making her laugh! Our whole family appreciate them. I have seen some not so great places with my grandmother, so we are glad our mom picked Bridgeway Pointe!
Warm, loving, fun, nurturing environment. Everyone is so caring my 89 year old mother thinks they are all part of her family. So supportive of the resident and family. I feel my mother is safe, loved and cared for 24/7. Best place ever! We looked and toured for 14 months before we found Bridgeway Pointe. It was worth the effort.
My great aunt has limited vision so the staff worked to get us a first floor room near all of the things she likes to do. The staff is very pleasant and attentive to her needs and from the beginning has taken great care of her and expressed concern for her well being.
My mother-in-law loves the staff and activities. She has lived at Bridgeway Pointe for some time now and her happiness has been a great relief to my husband and me.
The care is exceptional at Bridgeway Pointe. The entire staff, from the executive Director to the StNA’s are kind and caring and put their residents first. My mother-in-law was happy to have her best friend come and visit and shortly after, she decided to move in herself.
