The facility is very well maintained. They offer in house physical therapy and a hair salon as well. The activities director for memory care is great. They also have medical services available that visits resident. As far as the food goes, I think they could have less "formal meals " more sandwiches (fish, BBQ, BLT, ham, turkey). Potato chips, fries. More like they were eating when they lived at home. I would recommend Traditions at North Bend to others looking.... Read more

I toured with Traditions at North Bend and it was pretty nice. Traditions would be great for someone only needing assisted living but not my choice for memory care. The issue I had was the small memory care area. If you are looking for memory care, I would give them a 3. If looking for assisted living, it would be a 4.

The interaction with the staff is good, but sometimes they don't return phone calls. We picked this community, because it was newer and a smaller community. they can improve on improve on communication and returning calls. Also, housekeeping is not cleaning like they should. The activites and food is fine, it's just the communication.

I toured this facility and it was nice. It's a much larger place and has more of a hotel feel. The residents and staff were friendly. I felt that this facility was too large and would maybe be too overwhelming for my loved one, but could be a good fit for others.
We had a great tour experience with Traditions at North Bend. The facility was beautiful and looked brand new. The price was higher than we wanted to pay and it was on multiple levels. She would have had to go up a few floors to get to the dining room.
The medication administration has been terrible! The community needs to improve the medication administration system. I would only recommend this community if your loved one is truly fairly independent. The nursing oversight is wanting. There was a time that the urine sample were misplaced twice for over a week. There was a delay in treatment for my loved one. This would be great for assisted living for those with minimal to no need for nursing care.

Traditions at North Bend was very similar to another place we toured. It felt more like they were doing business than anything else - as opposed to considering care for our loved one. The facility was glamorous and had all the bells and whistles, and there's nothing wrong with that if that's what you're looking for. But their businesslike demeanor was a turnoff for us.
Our family had an in person tour and it was a beautiful facility but too expensive for her.
We had selected Traditions at North Bend, and my wife and I were beyond thrilled with them. They worked with us on the price because Mom was on a limited income. They found a "view-obstructed" room (which we honestly didn't feel was that obstructed). Their help moving in and allowing us to move in early was great. And once we knew Mom wasn't going to be able to go due to a decline in her health, they gave us some extra days to get moved out. [name removed] and [name removed] in the office were both such a tremendous help. I wish Mom would have had a chance to go. I think it would have been really good for her.

June 14, 2022Thank you for the review Craig. We also wish we would have had the chance to care for your mom!
We chose Traditions at North Bend because of the convenient location and just the overall appearance of the facility. I was impressed with what I saw after we toured. The only complaint my mom loved one has had has been on the food so I think they could probably improve there. Overall we have been very pleased with them, they have been so helpful and take great care of my loved one. I would recommend them to other families looking.

We couldn't be more pleased with the TLC provided for our mom. She is cared for with respect, patience & kindness. The staff looks after her as if she was their own loved one. With the current Covid climate, their protocol has been smart and spot on. Now more than ever we are grateful for the care givers & staff. Traditions is the place to be on the west side of Cincinnati!

June 14, 2022Thank you for the review Pam! Hearing that the staff is treating your mom like their own family makes us so happy.
Don't go here. We had a terrible experience. The heating unit in the room didn't function properly, and I couldn't get hem to fix it. The care service was sporadic, and they didn't check in with any consistency regarding time of day. Even though the restaurant was not crowded, you couldn't get anybody to wait on you. Basically, the whole problem was the staff weren't trained properly, so there was no consistency in services performed from one staff member to another.

So far we've really had a good experience. They're very friendly when we come in. If we ask anything of them, they seem to do it. The facility is clean every time we go there, and her room is really nice. I've been really happy with them.

Traditions is an assisted living memory care facility that opened in June 2020... which was a hard time for everyone. I chose it for my 84 year old mother with rapidly worsening dementia and I'm very happy I did. All the staff have been so courteous and caring with her. The challenges they have faced with keeping employees is similar to everywhere else in this "post-pandemic" times... I know they are doing the best they can. Highly recommend.
