I love the idea that they have a smaller community for the memory care residents and that way they are able to provide more individualized type care. They are just like everyone else right now where they are short staffed which is affecting some other things. They are using agencies so they do not know the residents as well as the day to day staff do. Overall we would definitely recommend Brookdale Finneytown to others.
No one knows what they are doing. They have different people all the time. They cant find people that want to work. The food is horrible, my loved one hates it. The reason I chose it was for people to come visit, it was a central location to family members to visit. They got 1 or 2 staff that are excellent. When they don't have regular people, the agency people do not take good care of her. It takes 30-45 minutes for help when she pressing her button. She had the same clothes on for 3 days one day. She has been giving cold food before. You do not get what you pay for. The billing department keeps charging for random things, including for [price removed] at one time for Boost drinks.

Our family had an in person tour and we liked the Brookdale community, it was a nice tour
We had an excellent tour at Brookdale Finneytown. The Director of Sales/Admissions was the biggest selling point. She was amazing. If I could move her to the facility we ended up choosing, I would - she was that good. We started out with an online tour first. The online experience was different than in person, so I was glad we did it again in person. I got a much better feel for the facility in person. I had a good overall impression of the facility, and I liked the level of activities they offered. Location played a big part in our decision. Also, Brookdale Finneytown was kind of hard to navigate. The building was shaped like an X with a big circle in the middle of it. That made for a grand entrance, but I thought it would have been too hard for my loved one to navigate with visual impairments.
Sometimes their billing is difficult to get sorted out. We were supposed to have an adjusted bill. They said they would adjust it, and the next bill we received had the same error. So that's two bills now with an error that we're waiting to have fixed. Considering nursing homes and other assisited living facilities, their price range is in a good, affordable range. They're comparable in price and better than most around. It doesn't seem like they're trying to take you for the money.

Don't go to this community. The lack of being told that our loved one had been asleep for several days and then they died. The community didn't inform us of this change. Every time we called the staff would tell us our loved one was sleeping. Hospice was the only ones that didn't like what they were seeing. If it weren't for hospice we wouldn't have known anything.

My husband was there for a week respite, while I was out of town. They treated him well. The room sizes were nice. They did not have a tv in the room for him to use. Overall it was a positive experience.
They have vary little to keep residents occupied. Disappointed there is no activity room. My mother in law does not like the food. The room sizes and layout of the community are good. The outdoor space is only accessible from the first floor which is memory care. It is hard for Assisted Living residents to use the space. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Though the facility seemed clean and nice, there was no real feeling of "homeliness." Our host was unfriendly and seemed to be devoid of any empathy. It felt like she was more interested in the next sale than she was in our loved one.

Picking a senior living center for my mother was a very difficult decision. We chose the Brookdale Senior Living in Finneytown and the experience has been exceptional from the beginning. The facility looks great and is very clean. The staff continually exceeds my expectations with the care given to my mother. When I asked my mom how she liked the staff, she commented they are “Johnny on the spot” for everything. My experience with Brookdale Finneytown has given me peace of mind that we found a place where mom feels at home and we feel she is taken care of like a family member.
Friendly, great activities, care is good, but have had a couple issues with staff coming when my mom pushed her emergency button If you have an issue, management staff will work with you
My wife had advanced stages of temperol frontal lobe dementia and could no longer be cared for at her previous health care facility. Brookdale was willing to take on the challenge of caring for my wife and did an excellent job. My wife no longer could talk or walk and required lots of assistance eatting . Even though gor the most part she could not do anything, they still gave her quality care and was able to be a great comfort to my wife and especially myself as I was very concerned about her care. Brookdale is a fantastic facility at a reasonable cost . Many other facilities with this level of care would have been a big concern to me finacially as i was paying completely out of pocket . The place is always very well maintained /clean and have staff that really love and care for their residents. I highly recommend Brookdale of Finneytown .
pretty good staff of caregivers; seem to genuinely care about the residents and strive to accommodate. more activities would seem to me to help allay any feelings of loneliness that come up from time to time.
Impressive
Not my cup of tea. It felt to me like a kindergarten for adults, (nightly bed checks and assigned seats in the dining room) and the entire operation, including the physical building itself, appears to be run on an inadequate budget. I had a general sense of "making do,"which didn't align with the projected cost of living there.
I have been frustrated with the process of trying to find a place to move a dear friend that will meet all her needs. I received a call within hours of the referral and I asked if I could tour the place right away and within 20 minutes I was at Brookdale. I was met with friendly staff and I fell in love with the place as soon as I walked in the door. The decor is adorable and it smelled nice and clean, but not masked by deodorant smells. As I toured the facility I was introduced to different people that worked there and they were very pleasant and genuine. I love the available spaces I was shown and I was fortunate to have an option of which would be more suitable for her needs. It is reasonably priced and well worth the level of care she will be receiving. The bonus is, finding out a care giver from a previous facility works for Brookdale. We absolutely loved him and the top notch care he provided and was so sad to see him leave. It was like being handed a welcomed home letter when we found this out. We have decided to make Brookdale her new home and we are excited for her future there.
My grandmother is doing very well here and the staff is very friendly and attentive. She likes her room and I have moved some of her furniture in so it is starting to feel more like home. She enjoys going to the dining room but since she was a cook herself, she prefers her own cooking. There are lots of different activities and she takes part in some of them. I would suggest taking a tour to see this community.
We had a nice tour of this community. Everything went well, for the most part, and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. From what I saw the community looked nice, it was an older building and two stories which we would prefer one level and we felt that it wasn't the right fit for my dad.
I had a nice tour of this community. The staff I met was friendly, and helpful. They do a good job with the cleanliness around the community. Everything looked great from what I saw. The experience was a good one, but I did not feel this was the right fit for my mother, and her needs.
