A good choice for safety in my old age.

I wanted to move from my two story 4 bedroom lonely house 4 years after my wife of 51 years died. We had lived in that house for our entire married life. I made an advance list of my retirement facility requirements and considered every community n the general valley area.. BridgePoint met all the points important to be. I find the general visual design and upkeep of the interior and exterior to be excellent. The weekly cleaning of my room and my laundry is as perfect as one can imagine. Seasonal decorations are just wonderful. A vast majority of the residents are using walkers and they seem dull and disinterested.. Currently update of the dining and food prep areas is underway and the food is grim for the most part. Most of the staff at every level are kind and attentive. Several are so perfect and wonderful. Several don’t seem to really like their job and that harms the impact of those that excel.. Overall I am happy here at BridgePoint.... Read more

Tour experience

We had a great tour experience with Bridgepoint at Los Altos. We really liked the facility, it had a lot of positive aspects to it, but unfortunately it was more expensive than we would have liked.

Activities/Wellness Director is very good at her job.

I like Bridgepoint. It is older, but I do like it. It's well run, and they're currently redoing it completely. It's going to be very nice when they're finished. For a few years now, I've provided music/entertainment for the residents, and I have a lot of appreciation for the Activities/Wellnes Director. She's easy to work with and does very well at her job.

Viewpoint from a medical provider

I'm a licensed medical provider who provides medical assessments for patients in communities across the Bay Area. BridgePoint stands out. Every time I'm there, the warmth, friendliness and care are consistently above par. There is a feeling of home in the gathering spots like the Bistro or Library where it's clear that the residents have real community. The food looks fresh and fabulous and the residents I've visited have only wonderful things to say about their experience. Those who need more care feel supported and as a fierce advocate for my beloved senior population, the staff are eager and receptive to any suggestions given. Also, it's one of the rare communities that retain their staff which provides continuity and stability- everyone knows the residents names! I would feel at ease sending a family member to BridgePoint!

Great, clean place

I’m a vendor who works with BridgePoint. The staff is super professional and courteous and the place is clean and welcoming. If my mom were alive she would have loved this place. Although they could use some more guest parking, there’s always ample space right on the street.

The staff was great. The place was clean. They had older apartments, which was like the 70's or 80's. The residents looked happy and were kind to each other.

our families experience

Some of the biggest deciding factors for picking BridgePoint at Los Altos was the location, this is the area our loved one grew up in and is very familiar with, and he has been able to make friends with the people there. Overall the value is good. The only reason the meals and dining gets 4 out of 5 stars is sometimes the meals are served cooler then what they should be - but we have acknowledge it is due to them being understaffed. -

We had a really good tour experience with Bridgepoint at Los Altos. There was nothing wrong with the facility at all, my mom just ended up clicking with another facility's environment a little bit better.

a caring community

BridgePoint is a great community, you do receive the value that you're paying for. the building is certainly not brand new, but it is very well maintained and has a great location. there also seems to be a sense of community with a lot of activity, the residents don't feel isolated. there are always people coming and going, eating together in the dining room, and socializing amongst each other. this community has a very vibrant atmosphere.

BridgePoint creates a caring, flexible place for seniors and their families

The staff are caring. They offer good activities, for instance we especially enjoyed a couple of winter festivals in the parking lot where they encouraged families to meet their loved ones there, while implementing socially distancing, to enjoy some music and adult cocktails. There are open outdoor courtyards that the families can meet in. It's close to shops, hotels, and dining areas. The price is reasonable considering all the activities going on. The staff did have a difficult time keeping up with all the changes and challenges of Covid, but I feel like they did a good job of having community safety in mind but also balancing the need for the residents to have social interaction with other residents and their families. They seemed to be good about using outdoor space so we could still see our loved on during this time. We've heard of complete lockdowns at other facilities, and we chose this one for their flexibility while still maintaining safety protocol. They only had one suspected case of Covid, so they went under quarantine until they could verify. And it ended up not being Covid. So they never did have any confirmed cases, which is fantastic with all the seniors and families coming and going.

My sister and I met with [name removed] last Friday to learn more about the care/service offered and toured the grounds and an apartment. I loved the raised gardenting beds and the rabbit hutches they had on the grounds. My only concern is that my folks may find the apartment too small. This is likely to be one of their biggest mindsets needing to be changed. We loved the facility and the caring staff. I received a follow up call on Saturday regarding my visit from [name removed]

They have a daily happy hour!!

We like this community and my mother in law seems to be slowly adjusting to living here. The staff are helpful and friendly. They have a core group that welcomes new residents and helps them feel included. They encourage her to participate in the numerous activities offered. She loves the food. They keep the community very clean even though they are going through some construction. I would recommend this community.

Great place!

BridgePoint has a wonderful wellness program for residents, though not it is not for everyone. I recommend BridgePoint for those who don't need memory care and are still cognitively present. My mother in law has complained about having a little trouble getting clean towels. Alma, the director of personal care is a real rocket, she is great. This is a wonderful place for people with more going on, but may become isolating for those who cannot keep up.
