I probably would not recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The community is short staffed. The care for the residents isn't up to the expectations of what the family was hoping for. There is a lot of turnover of staff and it is hard to get to know the caregivers. My loved one doesn't care for the food due to the taste. There are choices for meals such as fish or casserole but the meals are served in Styrofoam and the food is placed under a warmer and then sometimes the food has cooled off prior to the residents receiving the meals.

There were 28 residents in the memory care unity with 3 caregivers. Our experience with the community overall was not the right fit for my loved one. It would have been nice to see more staff to care for the residents. Overall I feel my loved one didn't receive the care I feel that they deserved. The meals were pretty good. There were three meals a day served to the residents, as well.

Communications are an issue. The services promised are not always available. Based off of our experience, I would not recommend Brickmont of Acworth to others.

Brickmont of Acworth is a great place. They provide all-inclusive care. If your loved one will be rooming with someone, they typically match roommates based on their personalities. The staff are pretty friendly. The food is good - they typically have salads and soups, then the main entrée, and then dessert, which my loved one enjoys. The café staff are good at refilling his glass, and they're really nice to him. In terms of care and progress, they could give more updates. But when I reach out to them, they do get back to me.

We chose Brickmont of Acworth over other facilities that we were looking into because the staff were extremely nice during the tour experience and also the facility did not have that typical nursing home smell to it. I would recommend the facility to others.

The facility was clean. Our orientation leader was very nice. Some of the staff were great and some not so much. Some really went out of their way, but some didn't even seem to do the basics. Overall, I wasn't very happy with her care here and wish they would have been more attentive. Maybe it was an issue with being short staffed, I'm not sure. After mom passed, they did assure us that they would pro rate her monthly rent. It's been 2 months and we're still waiting on the refund and no one is returning my calls about it. I probably wouldn't recommend them to others, I would encourage them to look around.
They lied from the beginning, about the care that my loved one needed once they were there. The meds were never on time, and they messed them up all the time. I had to hunt down housekeeping and kitchen staff. It was a total mess. My loved one was very unhappy and would not come out of their room. We ended up moving, my loved one out of this place. I would not recommend this place to any other families. I could not get anyone to answer questions, or do what they were supposed to do. They left my loved one, in their own feces for hours. It was a disaster from th get go. I had several conversations and it was always excuses. The managment is very poor, and people were quitting from left to right. It was terrible.

The staff really take on our loved ones care very personally, if she is having a challenging day they will give us a call to come up with ideas to settle out loved one. They go the extra mile to make sure she is comfortable and again just well taken care of - they are very hands on which we appreciate it. A huge thing for us is we were able to find an affordable private room for her which was a big challenge for us in the beginning. Based on our experience we would recommend Brickmont of Acworth to other families

We decided on Brickmont of Acworth because it is very convenient for our family. The friendliness the care and the help that the staff provide for my father is awesome. He was a wanderer and we know that he is safe here. We really love it and it has given us peace of mind. They have been great with communication if anything happens - it has been outstanding. I would definitely recommend them to others looking.

Everybody at Brickmont of Acworth is very friendly and all the staff have been super attentive. It is a very good price for everything they provide. They do not charge for additional services, the price does not fluctuate there is not nickel and dime going on. Whatever rent you pay for that month is it and that was very important to us. Our loved one has a one bedroom unit with a living area and kitchen so it provides a lot of space. We would absolutely recomend this community to other families based on our

I'm feeling pretty good about it. They take good care of the residents. They're attentive, and there are call buttons if you need assistance. The facility is clean and new, and doesn't smell like pee. It's also handicap accessible. They serve them their meals, and there's a lot of good things about it. I chose them because it was close to my house. I liked the pricing - they were able to negotiate with me, which I wasn't expecting and didn't even know was possible. And I liked how it looked. But the care is good too. There are a few things I kind of have to remind them about, but nothing major. And I'm still trying to figure out the process for new prescriptions coming from outside doctors. But I think the staff are great. Both my parents are there, and they're in a unit with three rooms and a bathroom, which is great size for the both of them.

On paper Brickmont Acworth is a great value and show be a good home. In reality there are a lot of issues. Services are sporadic, meals are mishandled and a huge sore spot for the residents. Activities are listed but really non existent. Turnover of residents appears high and my dad is not happy. He is sticking with it right now because the cost is good and he is hoping things will improve. But if not he will be moving.

Brickmont of Acworth will take good care of your loved one. The issue that we have is the communication with the family and follow up. The staff will rarely call to follow up with the family about a concern or questions the family has. They have made promises to call and they never do. Happy hour, trivia, physical activities, and more are some of the activities available for the residents to choose from. My loved one loves the food here.

Good community, too far from family and friends.
It is expensive, but the community is very clean and the staff are very friendly. They have done a sufficient job taking care of our loved one. The meals are fantastic and even though our loved one does not participate in activities they are plenty of opportunities for the residents to get involve.

Brickmont of Acworth was a very nice facility that we liked a lot, it was our 2nd choice. We just felt the facility we chose had a bit more to offer than they did for the money.
This was a beautiful community. It just was too expensive for us.
