Value for cost
I would recommend you visit as this is a good option for your loved one. The staff are very welcoming to the family. They want to assist you in getting your loved one settled into the community. The food is pretty good with a great menu. The staff can sometimes be short staffed.
Our tour with Aston Gardens was great, everything we saw and heard looked good. We just liked another newer facility more.
We chose Aston Gardens because it was close to my house and I really liked the person I was dealing with, she was helpful and my mother took to her right away. The room sizes at the facility are very nice. The meals are chef prepared and she really enjoys them. I would recommend to others.
My friend is very happy there. She's made some friends already. It's modern, clean, and reasonably priced.
I put my own parents here. The staff are doing very well. They are struggling with getting staff for the dining room; however, the food quality is still good. The residents have a lot of activities for the them to participant. The community provides a daily sheet of activities offered.
Our loved one really enjoys the meals they serve, she says they are really pretty good. We do think the value for cost is completely worth it. However, even with the activities being limited we still wish they would put more effort in getting our loved one engaged more.
My loved one says he really likes the food. I think he gets a lot of good care. He's in a wheelchair, and there's always someone there to wheel him to lunch and dinner. So he gets plenty of care. The staff is very good. I think they did well with Covid challenges. He got his vaccination early on, and they did not let anybody in unless they were designated as caregivers. So they they tested me for Covid first, and with a negative result I was then able to become designated as his caregiver so I could bring him extra things and check on him. We've been able to visit outside with him as a family, so that's been good. To my knowledge, they have not had any Covid cases here.

Thank you for sharing the kind words! We strive to offer the best resident experience possible.
We have been very happy with this community and couldn't be happier. The community is neat and clean and the staff is very friendly and they have been there a long time I would recommend this community to others.
When the management leaves the aides go and hide out in closets. It is a clean place. The community just added a new addition to the community. I'm not sure how things have been since the pandemic started, my loved one wasn't in the community during this time. Laundry was always being lost, even though they were marked with my loved one's name. I don't think the staff cares.
The staff at Aston Gardens are wonderful, our first impression of this community was that it was amazing. We even cried a little when we saw it. Our loved one is in independent living so he doesn't need to many care services. The staff members are really trying their best to still have activities while maintaining the social distancing rules. This community is so fancy and he is currently living in an apartment. Its a one bedroom apartment with its own washer and dryer. It has plenty of space in it. He had told us many times he really likes it here.
I enjoy it. Love the apartment, dining services and friendly residents and staff. Use the workout room, pool and spa almost daily. The grounds are well kept. I would highly recommend Aston Gardens to anyone who asked!!
I moved here in May 2019 after spending 2 nights here as a guest. I had checked out 2 other senior Independent living but found both the small campus appearance and the warmth of the community, both more welcoming for both me and my small dog "Eddie." We feel very "at home" here.
Living at Aston Gardens at Pelican Marsh is a great experience. Employees go our of their way to meet all of our needs. Awesome places, young employees seem to discount seniors as viable persons. There is non of that here. Facilities are great: apartments are generally larger than apartments are generally larger than similar apartments at other communities and are very comfortable. Programs are plentiful and varied.
I really like my apartment - we have a great staff - large selection of activities and good food. I do not like (cheap) carpet and flooring in my apartment. Staff good at sending out notices but - channel 3 often our of date info some written do not include enough info Carport rental too expensive! TV and Internet not so great.
I like Aston Gardens very much. The facility is excellent and the staff very cooperative and helpful. They go out of their way to be helpful and make you feel "at home". They strive to satisfy all your wants and needs to the best of their ability. I like it here!
Been here eight years and think it is an excellent retirement community. Food is good. The staff is excellent and take very good care of us.
I enjoy bingo, especially when I win. I love people that work here, they are always here to help me when I need them.
Good sq. footage in all apartments including the storage, air conditioned closets, nurse on duty most of the week. Driver 5 days, including drivers for medical appointments up to 15 miles one way. Good landscaping over a large area.
It is difficult to find the proper words to describe the joy that my wife and I have found at Aston Gardens. From our first encounter with the sales rep.[Name removed], our apartment, the additional facilities administrative staff, the dining room, bar area, are all the real assets. I guess the best way to describe it is "Being on a cruise ship without the water."
Very Friendly! Everyone seems to LOVE to be there; from the employees to the residents. There is always something going on to keep life exciting. And the lunch we had a delicious! Worth the visit to see what I mean!
