The residents and staff are amazingly welcoming. My mom is 96 , hard of hearing and a bit foggy. I never expected her to be embraced as she was. I toured this facility and didn't really care for it. It didn't feel very inviting when I walked in.
They don't use their own staff. It's agency staff. My mom was in memory care. Every time I visited her the staff was different. They often spoke Spanish while sitting with the residents (who didn't speak Spanish) while the residents were eating. All residents were parked in front of the TV during the day. They didn't want them in their rooms cause "they needed to keep an eye on them." So naps were in their chairs. There was no activity director for memory care. My mom went to the hospital in November. We moved everything out the day before Thanksgiving. She couldn't go back for medical reasons. We're still waiting for the refund. All in all - beautiful facility but wouldn't recommend it.

This has been a good experience for us. Sometimes it feels that the community is short of staff. I believe the community is providing housekeeping twice a week, and my loved one's bed is made every day except for the weekends. The staff communication with the family is very good.

So far the community has been friendly, and cooperative with the family and my loved one. The community is able to assist with feeding, medication management, bathing, and dressing assistance as some care types the provide. The community will even do the laundry for my loved one. There is a hair salon on site for the residents to use as well, by appointment.

It has been a great experience from day one, and even before that. My loved one moved in a few months ago and is extremely happy here. In addition the family is happy as well. They have lots of activities for the residents to choose from. In the middle of the first floor is the dining room, it looks like a small restaurant. In addition the residents have menus to choose from to order from, and they serve 3 meals a day. Plus, there are specials to choose from as well. The residents are able to choose their main course and side dishes as well to create a custom meal for themselves. Right when you walk into the lobby there is a small bistro for the residents to visit for snacks for in between meals.

Aspired Living was a very nice facility. It is a bigger facility that had multiple levels to it. We were looking for something a little smaller that was on one level. There was nothing wrong with it at all, it just did not fit what we were looking for.
The halls are very long so you might not want your loved one at the end of the hall. I really like the rooms, they are very and have plenty of room. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

It is really expensive but the Aspired Living community is very clean. What stood out to us was the attentiveness of the staff members, once again the community is very clean well kept and very modern.

May 10, 2021Hi David, thank you for your review! We understand the financial concerns families have and our Lifestyle Specialists are here to help navigate through the process. We invite you to give us a call to learn more about how our community is valued and we'll share your feedback with our team!
We think Aspired Living is very clean, and the staff members would be a five plus. Even with COVID they are still doing some activities while being safe. It has a very homey feeling to it, and the staff members were so welcoming. We would highly recommend it.

November 25, 2020Thank you for the review! We're thrilled to provide the services and care our residents deserve. We really are a family!
They have both memory care and assisted living. I have had loved ones in both areas. They keep couples of varying needs together. They are very caring and loving and treat the residents like family. They are doing a good job during COVID, keeping everyone safe. The food is okay. Room size is good, even a studio is plenty big.

August 31, 2020Hi Ellen, thank you for the review! We're proud to offer a variety of tailored wellness services to all residents and their families. We look forward to seeing you again soon!
They have been great with this virus situation. They have really done what needs to be done. Their communication has been 100% . They have been great keeping families engaged. They have a Facebook page where families can see what's going on. They have periodic virtual meetings where the families of the residents have a conference call which has been very effective. They really have their stuff together. The residents units are a good size.

May 8, 2020Hi Debbie, thank you for the review! We are thrilled to know you and your family are staying connected and engaged through these uncertain times. We're in this together!
The staff is so caring. They were very welcoming, she fit in very quickly. Aspired Living is a newer facility. The rooms are larger and they have all one and two bedroom units. They have open style dining no set times it is all restaurant style dining. Great with communication, lots of email and a Zoom meeting. They have been good at keeping families in the loop.

Newly built. Very clean and a friendly staff.Rooms are small . Seems like residents are friendly, too. Not fully occupied. Offers many activities. Would like it to be closer to northbrook or Glenview.

The process of finding an Assisted Living for my Mom was overwhelming not to mention getting my Mom to agree that it would greatly benefit her. My Mom lived alone for 12 years so the thought of her leaving her home was scary, she thought she was fine alone . When I met the staff at Grandbrier I was impressed and felt that this was the place for my mom . The staff is warm and welcoming, the facility is new and gorgeous and my mom is very happy, has made many friends, has been participating in so many activities and is happy she made the move!!!

I had recently taken a tour of this community for my loved one and I have no complaints of how things had went. The staff where on time to our appointment and made sure to answer any questions I had for them in detail. I thought they had a nice floor plan with nice amenities for all of the residents. It was just not the right location for us in the end decision but I would recommend it to anyone interested.

My mother is doing terrific since her move to this community. I'am comfortable with her move to this facility. I know she is safe, and in great hands. They have a good, friendly staff, and they have been great to work with. They are very knowledgeable, and good at what they do. Everyone really made her feel welcomed, and this is a community I would recommend to anybody.

We loved this community to the point where we had made a decision that this is where my parents were going to go. It's a brand new community everything was clean and fresh the staff was nice and friendly. However there paperwork leaves a lot to be desired. Because of the wording on a questioner that my parent's doctor had to fill out they were unable to accept my parents. The management staff needs to take a look at the evaluation form and adjust it so they can properly evaluate the potential residents.
