I just want to say the American House Hunter is amazing. My mother lived there for about a year before she passed. The staff were amazing. The supervisor for the medical team was very compassionate. My mom was on hospice and towards the end the supervisor always made sure she was very comfortable. The staff of American House was awesome. I would recommend American House Hunter to all my friends and family.

I just want to say the American House Hunter is amazing. My mother lived there for about a year before she passed. The staff were amazing. The supervisor for the medical team was very compassionate. My mom was on hospice and towards the end the supervisor always made sure she was very comfortable. The staff of American House was awesome. I would recommend American House Hunter to all my friends and family.

Excellent place for your love
Everyone at that facility are awesome. My friend lives there and everyone takes care of her. Had a question for the medical staff and the site supervisor answered my question and even went above and beyond for my friend. Which was really nice of her.
My friend has no complaints. I would recommend this facility to everyone I know.

No compassion or respect
The staff needs more training in what they're supposed to do for residents. Supervisor for the staff who cares for residents is very rude. Her rules and guidelines change depending on how she feels that day or what they want to do. My friend had several things stolen from her room, on more than one occasion. She paid for extra care. She never received that care. They left her sitting in her bowel movement for hours before coming to change her. She would call and they would say they can't do it right now and she'd wait for hours. Put her to bed early so they don't have to deal with her. If you're loved one can talk and in the right state of mind, that's a plus but if they can't I wouldn't consider that place. The only good I could say is the housekeeping and the laundry women were so nice, loved seeing them. CHEF?? What chef, their food comes from GFS. Of course they'll give you a great tour, they want your money, don't be fooled. They're good at masquerading. Think twice, PLEASE!!!!!

A Welcoming, Freindly Community
So far it has been a very good experience. If there is any negative at all, it is on the part of my loved ones with dementia. But it has nothing to do with American House Westland Hunter. Right from the start when we went to investigate different places, we got a good feeling about American House. The residents looked very happy, and it was a very welcoming place. The staff have been very accommodating since we've moved in. The apartment is small but very nice. It was clean and ready for us, and they made a few little repairs/ tweaks that needed done. I think the layout is very nice. We were little disappointed that our loved ones didn't get to see the doctor/nurse practitioner right away upon move-in, but they were able to do so a couple of weeks in. It also would have been nice if they had a cart/etc. up front to help with moving in or carrying heavy items. But it has been a good experience overall - we've been very pleased!

Wonderful Choice for The Price You Pay
For the price it is a great place and affordable. They have Advisacare here, and this is the biggest issue. My loved one moved in during the pandemic, there isn't as much activity as we had thought. The dining situation is random and confusing for the residents, but we feel that this might be because of the pandemic.

Treats you like family
They really took care of our loved one while he was there. They were always calling him to check in, they were very easy to talk to and just very out going. They were not strict at all, they really worked with us. And ever after we left they still called to see how he was doing.

This community will not take folks who are needing extra assistance but they are able to stay if they get worse and get care for him there. The staff was very kind and was caring. I would definitely recommend this community to others. The extra help took a week to start but they were very good.

Overall a good place to stay
The meals that they are bring up to the residents are sometimes good and sometimes not so good, and unfortunately due to COVID there has been no dining services. Considering the value, we would recommend this community to others.

This house was clean and the residents appeared happy. Our tour guide wasn't able to answer some of our questions, however she was a replacement for [name removed] who had to leave early.
We noted there's absolutely NO security. Anyone is able to walk in from outside. This 3 story house has 1 elevator that will be replaced starting today. This will leave residents on floors 2 & 3 with only the stairs
The units we saw are quite nice and aside from the above mentioned concerns, it would work.
We look forward to continuing our search.

Interior is updated and decorated beautifully. Very homey feel. Residents are out and about, not just laying in their beds. Felt right for my dad from the time we walked in the door. Affordable move in costs as well.

Rude workers and crappy food !!!
I am a relative to a former residence and would like to mention the manager or cook [name removed] is very rude and tries to create conflict with other works and likes to Sabotage them . Very curious how you are suppose to have a cook that doesn’t eat meat and burns every meal she cooks and blames it on other cooks there ? Also very rude to my mother in law that resides here and won’t even have a conversation with one residence ! American house you need to get it together !!!

So Far Brother is Well
So far all is well for my brother, and his wife since their move to this community. I do feel they are safe, and in good hands in this facility. Overall this is a nice community with kind people. I have already recommended this community to my friends, it is a really nice facility.

Mom is happy!!
My mother is doing very well since her move into American House. It has been a good fit and she is socializing a lot more. The staff has been great, they are always available and ready to help. We chose this American House because of location, this facility was located close to all of my mother's loved ones.
