The staff seems willing to work without complaint. I would recommend to others. My experience was good. We picked this community, because of the closeness to residence, cleanliness, and home environment.

Not As Advertised
My loved one was there a short period of time. The room was dusty, not clean, and the TV did not work. I would never put anyone at this place, and most of the staff did not speak English. What they said they would do, they did not do it.

A perfect fit
We chose Agape Heritage Home because it is an actual house and he has his own room. Someone that I knew had her mother here as well and she was always bragging about the nurses and the care so it just reinforces that I made the right choice. The staff members here are wonderful and my main point of contact has been the director. They are always cooking for them and interacting with the residents and trying to engage them in conversation. They do a phenomenal job and I would highly recommend them.

If You Can Get Your Loved One In, Definitely Do It
It is an excellent place. The only downfall was a fill-in staff member wasn't as good to work with due to not having all the training. The communication with the staff and manager is excellent and very responsive.

Hi, [name removed] was very nice. He toured and gave information as he walked around. The residents seemed content. They were watching tv. I liked the home overall, but I didn't care foe the semi-private rooms. They were very bare. The family room had a Christmas tree up in the corner, it's July. I liked the private room. They don't have scheduled outings, if you have an interest then they will make arrangements. Very nice. Will not meet my mother-in-laws needs at this time. Maybe when she gets worse, for now she is high functioning so she will get alot

VERY NICE LOCATIONS AND THE ADMINISTRATOR (OWNER) [name removed] IS GREAT TO WORK WITH. THE ATTENDANTS SEEM TO BE HAPPY TO WELL TAKEN CARE OF. THE PRICING IS A LITTLE ABOVE AVRG BUT WILL CONSIDER IF OTHER PLACES DON'T MEASURE UP TO THEIR PERCEIVED QUALITY.

Personal Touch for Alzheimer's Care
The Agape Heritage Home was a blessing for us. It gave my father more individualized attention than any nursing facility or memory care unit could. They were able to handle his agressive behaviors which decreased with the additional attention. They were able keep him safe and comfortable in a home-like atmosphere. I also appreciated that they are Alzheimer certified and at his home have a maximum capacity of 8 residents. (Richmond home)

Caring Manager
As a new place for my dad Agape Heritage Home seems to have been a very good choice from what I have seen. The place is very clean and the workers are caring. The manager is excellent! My father has dementia and from what I have seen so far the manager is trying very hard to ensure that my dad's stay is as comfortable as possible. Unfortunately, I found the place myself. I was expecting more help from A Place for Mom but I never got it.

Dark and Expensive
This is, mainly because it was a house, it was very dark and, to me, depressing. I think when I was told about it was fairly reasonable in price but when he quoted me the price it was like $5000/mo. With the residential homes I couldn't put him there and say it was worth the money. To me, I fell like we were the same kind of set up because he was living with us. I couldn't justify spending the money to put him in another house where there are not many people to talk to and it was not bright or sunny inside.

A Place for Mom has scored Agape Heritage Home 2 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
