David Robin Willcox was a commissioned officer in the Army from 1951-1954. He was a member of the 3rd Platoon, Able Company, 1st Battalion, 17th Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. He fought in Korea I Chorwon Valley, Hill 200, Hill 347, Pork Chop Hill. He was the commanding officer on the Hill at that time. He and all of his men survived the battle with no casualties, which was a remarkable feat. He was awarded the Silver Star and Purple Heart for his service.
