James A. Quealy
Branch: Army
Rank: Corporal
War or Conflict: World War ll
Years of Service: 4
Dad was an airplane and engine mechanic. He did various types of maintenance on various types of aircraft for 36 months. He supervised the work of 3 men and was the crew chief for 15 men. He was directly responsible for all of their work. He was well versed in aircraft engine principles, hydraulic systems, fuel systems, instruments, and aircraft structure. He entered the war on June 2, 1942 and was discharged on December 16, 1945. He was a wonderful father and husband who unfortunately passed in 1974 at the young age of 53. We all still miss him terribly.
