After returning from the war, he attended college at Western Washington College of Education, graduated and became an elementary school teacher. He taught and then became a Principal for a total of 31 years.
Ed Brown was active as a Scoutmaster for 11 years, and in the Lions Club for over 30 years. He raised a family of two sons and a daughter, had 7 grandchildren, and several great and great-great grandchildren.

He remains proud of his service with the Company G, 377th Inf. Regiment, 95th Inf. Division, Army under General Patton.
